Since the outset of human history, people have been struggling with questions on life, death and the world after death. In order to answer these questions, they have looked for the Absolute who rule over the life and death of humans, and yearned for his salvation. Therefore, many religions in history suggested their view of life and death and guided people, but the life and death problem has not been solved clearly even today with highly advanced scientific civilization and people are still under pains and agonies. With regard to the life and death problem, this study attempted to propose a solution through ‘Kumkangdaedo`s view of life and death and its rituals.’ For the human life and death problem, Kumkangdaedo (金剛大道) finds the solution in the incarnation of ‘Kunkonbumo (乾坤父母)’ who gives birth to, raises and harvests the three beings, namely, the heaven, the earth and man. In Kumkangdaedo`s view of life and death, the subject of life and death originates from one God and all the principles of life and death for the heaven and earth (Kunkonbumo) and all things in them come from one God, clarifying the existence of God. That is, if one has the God in his body he lives, and if the God leaves the body he dies. Thus, this is regarded as `association with one God.’ Human is the lord of all creations and a member of the three beings of heaven-earth-man, participating in the harmony of all creations together with the heaven and the earth. Out of his desire, however, man disrupted and destroyed the human way and therefore saints from the heaven were sent to the human world and redeemed people. Nevertheless, the human way went even more morally corrupted rather than enlightened and the situation was rushing toward the end of the human world. In the situation, greeting Ojungdaeun (午中大運), ‘Kunkonbumo’ in the heaven embodied himself into a human and suggested an upgraded perfect view of life and death. That is, he proposed the view of life, death and paradise in which human, together with Kunkonbumo, be coupled with the heaven and the earth and associate with them. However, not all humans can be coupled with the heaven and the earth and associate with them. Only those who can participate in the harmony of the heaven and the earth can associate with them. Man, as the lord of all creations, was congenitally endowed with the same morality with that of the heaven and the earth by Kunkonbumo, but human form and spirit cannot reach the way of the heaven and the earth by itself, so if people receive spiritual lessons from Kunkonbumo, learn and realize his morality, and practice human morality, they participate in `the harmony of the heaven and the earth` and finally become a man of virtue and reach the stage of a saint or Buddha. As a result, man becomes a member of the three beings of heaven- earth-man, associates with the heaven and the earth, and participates in the harmony of the heaven and the earth, and consequently, he lives an eternal life with the heaven and the earth. This is the view of life and death in which people get out of the pains of life and death, and live a happy life of paradise in this world and are moved to the world of saints and Buddhas after death and enjoy the paradise after death with true salvation and eternal life. This view of life and death is well reflected in Kumkangdaedo`s ideas and rituls.

This study analyzes the transmission and reception performance of a step-shape horn guide. We designed a step-shape horn guide whose reflection would not affect the received waves while maintaining transmission performance at the gradually expanded exit. The step size is defined as a factor of the radius of the sensor face. The received waves are identified using finite element analysis for ultrasound propagation. Experiments were performed with 3D-printed prototypes, and the results of finite element analysis were compared and verified. We found that a step size of half the wavelength improves reception while maintaining transmission performance.
