Since it can be assumed that this rotation must create predominantly off-vertical forces, location of stabilizing and retentive components in relation to the horizontal axis of rotation of the abutment becomes extremely important. In other words, an abutment tooth will better tolerate off-verrtical forces if these forces accrue as near as possible to the horizontal axis of rotation of the abutment. The axial surface contours of abutment teeth must usually be altered to locate components of direct retainer assemblies more favorably in relation to the abutment's horizontal axis.

천연가스 연료의 연소특성에 관한 연구

This study is concerned about the combustion characteristics of methane-air and methane/hydrogen-air mainly the behavior of burning velocity including the effect of the ignition energy. The experiments were conducted in a spherical combustion bomb designed in this laboratory. The burning velocities were measured by the pressure-time history and the reaction rates were estimated theoretically. The experimental results showed that the burning velocity increased by 25 to 50 percent when hydrogen is added to methane by 20 percent.

企業의 國際化란 世界經濟潮流에 있어 하나의 必然的추세이다. 왜냐하면 世界各國의 企業들은 이미 어떠한 目的에서든 그들 企業活動의 國際化를 계속 擴大, 팽창시켜 왔으며, 향후에도 이러한 추세는 여전히 계속될 것이라는 展望이 强力하기 해문이다. 그러나 企業의 國際化에 따르는 諸般 危險性의 程度는 世界各國의 다양한 環境上의 差異를 포함하는 여러 가지 장애요인들로 말미암아 더욱 높아져 가고 있다. 우리나라의 企業들도 이미 輸出活動을 비롯하여 海外直接投資活動에 이르기까지 多樣한 形態로 企業의 國際化를 試圖하여 왔으며, 輸出活動에 관한 한 이미 刮目할만한 成果를 이룩하였다. 그러나 輸出活動을 除外한 諸般 企業의 國際化形態, 特히 海外直接 授資를 통한 多國籍企業으로의 轉換의 경우에는 아직도 極히 初步의 단계에 있으며, 또한 지금까지의 散發的인 몇몇 試圖도 그리 成功的으로 보기는 힘든 것이 事實이다. 더우기 輸出活動의 경우에서도 수많은 問題點들이 露程되어 輸出마아케팅을 위시한 여러 방면에서의 體質改善이 강력히 要請되고 있기도 하다. 따라서 輸出活動을 포함한 우리나라 企業의 國際化가 향후 더욱 能動的이고도 成功的으로 進展되기 위해서는 基礎的으로 國際化過程에 관한 徹底한 理解 및 認識이 무엇보다도 시급히 이뤄져야 할 것이다. 아울러 이와 같은 國際化過程에서 必然的으로 고려되어야 할 諸般影響要因에 관한 體系的 理解와 關聯知識의 早速한 習得이 절실히 要請된다고 할 것이다.

It’s very important to find the most appropriate adhesion technique available, taking into consideration factors such as biocompatibility, non-corrosiveness, mechanical stability, etc. Laser welding is the best choice you can make because from a mechanical viewpoint, a laser welded surface has better particle structure than does a casted particle structure. Furthermore, it requires no additional material and the same metal alloy which is used when casting can be used. Therefore, the resulting mixture will consist of a single alloy, instead of utilizing different alloy combinations. Another benefit is the low economic cost. The most beneficial aspects of laser welding is that it is biologicallly friendlly, doesn't require soldering, can fuse different metal alloys together, and can weld on heat-sensitive spots(E.g. around resin or ceramic). A consistent strong pulse is possible. This technique is capable of welding on master models and creates accurate welds. It is capable of due to its stronger, non-corrosive microscope, which allows 25times magnification during the soldering process. This is possible because of its high stability from the tiny particle structure.

화격자형 소형보일러에서 RDF와 코크스 배출가스의 연소특성 비교

Refuse derived fuels(RDF) have become increasingly attractive alternatives to energy derived from coal or oil fuels in view of the various engineering, economic concerns, including the growing interest in recycling. This paper investigated the exhaust gas and the bottom ash products produced from the combustion of domestic RDFs in a grate-type small-size boiler which has a heating capacity of 20~40 area. The combustion characteristics of RDF is important factor to control the combustion phenomena because of RDF is composed of municipal wastes, its calorific value is very various. In order to investigate the exhaust gas during RDF combustion, exhaust gas are sampled by gas analyzer, for example CO, CO₂, NO and SO₂, while changing the temperature.

정치개혁을 위한 선거제도의 개선방향에 대한 시론

우리가 지향하는 정치개혁은 국민의사를 제대로 반영하는 공정하고 합리적인 선거제도를 모색하고 저비용 고효율의 정당 제도를 마련하며 투명한 정치자금제도를 구현하는 것이다. 따라서 "정치관계법"으로 통칭되는 선거법과 정당법 그리고 정치자금법이 종합적으로 고려되어야 정치개혁을 이룰 수 있다. 이중에서 가장 핵심적인 것은 선거법으로 어떤 선거제도를 체택하느냐의 문제이다. 이는 선거제도에 따라 정당중심의 선거운동이 이뤄질 수 있고 인물중심의 선거운동이 나타나기 때문이다. 한마디로 선거제도를 규정한 선거법에 따라 나머지 정당법과 정치자금법 그리고 상당부분의 정치적 관행이 변화하게 되고 영향 받게 된다. 구체적으로 국회의원선거제도는 비례대표의석의 증대를 통한 비례성의 강화, 유권자와 후보자의 접촉기회 확대 정당공천의 확대 등의 방향으로 개선되어야 할 것이다. 동시에 선거제도가 정당체계의 변화를 가져오기도 하지만 기존의 정당체계가 선거제도를 결정한다는 점도 강조되어야 한다. 선거제도는 법률로서 국회에서 확정되어야 하기 때문이다. 이러한 의미에서 정치개혁의 방향에 대한 논의 못지않게 정치개혁의 방법에 대한 검토와 합의도출 또한 매우 중요한 문제이다. 따라서 어떻게 하면 신뢰받는 정치와 생산적 정치를 위한 정치개혁을 이룰 수 있는지에 대한 진지한 고민도 있어야 할 것이다. Political reform indicates fair and reasonable electoral systems, efficient party system and transparent political fund management system. Therefore, one is supposed to consider the so called "politics related laws"-election, party and political fund laws-'comprehensively' in order to accompilsh political reform. Among those three political laws, election laws become the most important factor to influence general political practice. For example, there may emerge party-centered campaigns or candidate-centered campaigns depending on the type of electoral systems. On this basis, the Korean parliamentary electoral systems are to increase the number of national constituency seats elected by the second vote for party so that it can improve the representativeness of electoral systems. This argument is based on a new-institutionalist perspective in that political institution may change political practice by controlling for incentives for politicians and voters. However, there is another point we should consider in the process of political reform. It is existing party system or the distribution of political power that decides which electoral system to take, since electoral systems are supposed to be legalized at the representative political institution. Therefore, we should take into account of how to achieve political reform as well as the direction of political reform.

4·15 총선과 한국정치 : 신(新) 균열구조의 등장과 정당체계의 재편가능성을 중심으로

This essay reviews the outcomes of the 17th National Assembly elections and the prospect for political change in Korean politics. First, the impact of regionalism that implies the concentration of political support along regional lines has not changed and became evident to decide the electoral fortunes for parties. Second, with the enduring influence of regionalism in the Korean electoral process, there emerge new lines of conflicts that are expected to influence party system change and development in Korean politics. They are generations, ideological orientations and class. With the generational replacement happening in the Korean society, the impact of generational confrontation and ideological orientations will be larger and larger. Third, given the regionalist party system, it is expected that the party system of 'Honam region + reform-minded voters' versus 'Yungnam + conservative voters' will exist in the near future.
