Due to increased consumption of energy in the building environment, the building energy management systems (BEMS) solution has been developed to achieve energy saving and efficiency. However, because of the shortage of building energy management specialists and incompatibility among the energy management systems of different vendors, the BEMS solution can only be applied to limited buildings individually. To solve these problems, we propose a building cluster based remote energy monitoring and management (EMM) system and its functionalities and roles of each sub-system to simultaneously manage the energy problems of several buildings. We also introduce a novel energy demand forecasting algorithm by using past energy consumption data. Extensive performance evaluation study shows that the proposed regression based energy demand forecasting model is well fitted to the actual energy consumption model, and it also outperforms the artificial neural network (ANN) based forecasting model.
Relay Performance Analysis of TTR and STR Relay Modes in IEEE 802.16j MMR System

The IEEE802.16j standard uses non-transparent relay stations to extend coverage. There are two types of non-transparent relay modes, that is, the time-division transmit and receive (TTR) relay mode which can operate with one of two types of frame structures, a single-frame and multiframe structure, and the simultaneous transmit and receive (STR) relay mode. In this paper, we analyze the relay performance of TTR and STR relay modes in IEEE 802.16j MMR system. We also propose a fair resource allocation scheme for the downlink relay frame. Numerical results show that relay performance of the TTR with a single-frame or a multiframe structure and that of the STR relay modes are almost the same in a two-hop system. However, in a three-hop system, the TTR mode with a single-frame structure outperforms other relay modes.

<P>An electrochemical microfluidic device has been fabricated on PET (polyethylene terephthalate) substrate using an imprinting method. The imprinting transfers patterns from a stamp into a substrate mechanically. However, a blanket mould imprinting process has been introduced to embed the photolithographically produced gold metal electrode lines into the PET substrate resulting in an individually addressable array flush to better than 100 nm. The device formed one wall of a packed chromatography column. The array was electrochemically characterised using standard redox probes in both stagnant conditions and under flow. Both numerical modelling and experimental data show improved sensitivity under flow and a limiting current which scaled linearly with the cube root of the volume flow rate. A chromatographic separation of the bioanalytical significant neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) and its metabolite DOPAC was achieved and electrochemically detected at multiple locations within the column. The PET device was stable and robust to leaks to pressures well in excess of those required for chromatographic separations.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>An electrochemical microfluidic device has been fabricated on a PET substrate using an imprinting method. Objective : To analyze the angiographic features and clinical course, including treatment outcomes and the natural course, of fusiform middle cerebral artery aneurysms (FMCAAs) according to their location, size, and configuration. Methods : We reviewed the literature on adult cases of FMCAAs published from 1980 to 2018; from 25 papers, 112 FMCAA cases, for which the location, size, and configuration could be identified, were included in this study. Additionally, 33 FMCAA cases in our hospital were included, from which 16 were assigned to the observation group. Thus, a total of 145 adult FMCAA cases were included. We classified the FMCAAs according to their location (l-type 1, beginning from prebifurcation; l-type 2, beginning from bifurcation; l-type 3, beginning from postbifurcation), size (small, <10 mm; large, ${\geq}10mm$; giant, ${\geq}25mm$), and configuration (c-type 1, classic dissecting aneurysm; c-type 2, segmental ectasia; c-type 3, dolichoectatic dissecting aneurysm). Results : The c-type 3 was more commonly diagnosed with ischemic symptoms (31.8%) than hemorrhage (13.6%), while 40.9% were found accidentally. In contrast, c-type 2 was more commonly diagnosed with hemorrhagic symptoms (14.9%) than ischemic symptoms (10.6%), and 72.3% were accidentally discovered. According to location, ischemic symptoms and hemorrhage were the most frequent symptoms in l-type 1 (28.6%) and l-type 3 (34.6%), respectively. Most of l-type 2 FMCAAs were found incidentally (68.4%). Based on the size of FMCAAs, only 11.1% of small aneurysms were found to be hemorrhagic, while 18.9% and 26.0% of large and giant aneurysms were hemorrhagic, respectively. Although four aneurysms of the 16 FMCAAs in the observation group increased in size and one aneurysm decreased in size during the observation period, no rupture was seen in any case and there were no significant predictors of aneurysm enlargement. Of 104 FMCAAs treated, 14 cases (13.5%) were aggravated than before surgery and all the aggravated cases were l-type 1. Conclusion : While ischemic symptoms occurred more frequently in l-type 1 and c-type 3, hemorrhagic rather than ischemic symptoms occurred more frequently in l-type 3 and c-type 2. In case of l-type 1 FMCAAs, more caution is required in determining the treatment due to the relatively high complication rate.

본고에서는 u-City 인프라구축에 필요한 기술들을 살펴본다. 먼저 U-city인프라 구축에 필요한 핵심기술 구성요소와 각 기술에 대한 내용을 소개한다. 이를 위해 먼저 통합운영 센터의 개념 및 역할에 대해 소개하고 u-City 인프라 통합망의 구성과 u-City통합망 인프라에 포함되는 다양한 통신망 기술의 특징을 소개한다. 또한 본고는 U-city 도입을 원하는 지자체 담당자들에게 정보기술측면에서 고려할 내용을 포함한다.
