A face detection in color images is important for many multimedia applications. It is first step for face recognition and can be used for classifying specific shorts. This paper describes a new method to detect faces in color images based on the skin color and hair color. This paper presents a fuzzy-based method for classifying skin color region in a complex background under varying illumination. The Fuzzy rule bases of the fuzzy system are generated using training method like a genetic algorithm(GA). We find the skin color region and hair color region using the fuzzy system and apply the convex-hull to each region and find the face from their intersection relationship. To validity the effectiveness of the proposed method, we make experiment with various cases.

A Study on the Longitudinal and Lateral Errors of Air Vehicle Heading for Auto-landing

For the auto-landing operation of an air vehicle, the possibility of auto-landing operation should be first evaluated by testing the navigation performance through a flight test. In general, navigation performance is tested by analyzing north/east/down (NED) errors relative to reference equipment whose precision is about 8~10 times higher than that of a navigation system. However, to evaluate the auto-landing operation of an air vehicle, whether the air vehicle approaches a glide path aligned with the runway, within a specific error, needs to be examined rather than examining the north/east errors of the navigation system. Therefore, the longitudinal/lateral errors of air vehicle heading need to be analyzed. In this study, a method for analyzing the longitudinal/lateral errors of a navigation system was proposed as the navigation performance test method for evaluating the safety during the auto-landing of an air vehicle. Also, flight tests were performed six times, and the safety of auto-landing was examined by analyzing the performance using the proposed method.

舞鶴山 一帶의 高等菌類의 分布相을 파악코져 1983年 9月부터 1984年 10月까지 舞鶴山 一帶에 自生하는 高等菌類 200餘点을 採集하여 同定한 결과 2網, 2亞網, 6目, 19科, 27屬, 39種을 確認하였으며, 이 가운데서 韓國産 未記錄種은 다음과 같다. More than 200 specimens of higher fungi were collected at Mt. Muhack areas during the period September, 1983 to October, 1984.. These higher fungi were identified and included 2 classes, 2 subclasses, 6 oders, 19 families, 27 genera and 39 species. Among them, Calocera cornea Fr. , Melanoleuca arcuata(Fr. ) Sing. , Amanita echinocephala(Vitt. ) Quel., A. lutescens Hongo, and Pezizcl vesciculosa Bull. ex et Amans were found to be seven new to Korea. Common names of these new species were designated by the authors.
