Linear versus Non-linear Interference Cancellation

In this paper we compare linear and non-linear inter-ference cancellation for systems employing code division multi-ple access (CDMA) techniques. Specifically, we examine linear and non-linear parallel interference cancellation(also called multi-stage cancellation) in relationship to other multiuser detection al-gorithms. We show the explicit relationship between parallel inter-ference cancellation and the decorrelator (or direct matrix inver-sion). This comparison gives insight into the performance of paral-lel interference cancellation (PIC) and leads to vetter approaches. We also show that non-linear PIC approaches with explicit chan-nel setimation can provide performance improvement over linear PIC, especially when using soft non-linear symbol estimates. The application of interference cancellation to non-linear modulation techniques is also presented along with a discussion on minimum mean-squared error(MMSE) symbol estimation techniques. These are shown to further improve the performance of parallel cancella-tion.

DWT-based Denoising and Power Quality Disturbance Detection

Power quality (PQ) problems are becoming a big issue, since delicate complex electronic devices are widely used. We present a new denoising technique using discrete wavelet transform (DWT), where a modified correlation thresholding is used in order to reliably detect the PQ disturbances. We consider various PQ disturbances on the basis of IEEE-1159 standard over noisy environments, including voltage swell, voltage sag, transient, harmonics, interrupt, and their combinations. These event signals are decomposed using DWT for the detection of disturbances. We then evaluate the PQ disturbance detection ratio of the proposed denoising scheme over Gaussian noise channels. Simulation results also show that the proposed scheme has an improved signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) over existing scheme.

증기발생기 전열관의 입계부식에 대한 와전류검사 신호특성

가동중인 증기발생기 전열관에서 발생하는 결함 유형 중의 하나인 입계부식은 방진가공에 의한 모의 시편제작이 불가능하므로 입계부식에 대한 완전류검사 신호의 특성이 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 0.1 M sodium tetrathionate 용액에서 비확산 전열관에 입계부식을 형성시키고 와전류검사 신호를 수집하여 평가하였다. 이를 통하여 탐촉자의 종류와 주파수에 따른 신호특성 및 입계부식의 깊이 변화에 따른 검출등을 비교하였다. Because intergranular attack (IGA), one of the locallized corrosion forms occurring on steam generator tubes can not be fabricated by an electric discharge machining method, there are few data for the eddy current test (ECT) characteristics of IGA. In this paper, the characteristics of eddy current signals are evaluated using nonexpanded tubes with IGA defects formed in 0.1 M sodium tetrathionate solution at 40℃. The detectability and sizing accuracy of IGA were discussed in the coil type and frequency of the ECT probes.

알려지지 않은 불분명한 위협을 검출하는 내는 것은 모순이다. 존재하는 것이 알려지지 않았다면 어떻게 찾아 낼 것인가? 그것은 알려지지 않은 위험을 아주 짧은 시간 안에 위협을 정의(identification)을 할 수 있으면 가능 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 위험 검출 기법을 만들어 네트워크상의 알려지지 않은 위험에 대해 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 시스템 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있게 하기 위해 연구되었다. 이 시스템은 알려지지 않은 위험을 탐지 하기위하여 동적이고 유연한 상황 지식을 가진 로직을 가지고 시스템을 감시한다. 시스템은 새로운 위협의 검출뿐만 아니라 빠르고 효과적인 방법으로 위협에 대처할 수 있다 Detecting unknown threats is a paradox;how do you detect a threat if it is not known to The answer is that unknown threat detection is the process of making a previously unknown threat identifiable in the shortest possible time frame. This paper examines the posibility of creating an unknown threat detection mechanism that security experts can use for developing a flexible protec-tion system for networks. A system that allows the detection of unknown threats through monitoring system and the incorporation of dynamic and flexible logics with situational knowledge is described as well as the mechanisms used to develop such a system is illustrated. The system not only allows the detection of new threats but does so in a fast and efficient manner to increase the available time for responding to these threats.

염상섭의 『진주는 주었으나』는 학계의 주목을 받지 못했다. 당대에도 이 작품에 관한 인기는 그다지 없었던 듯하다. 염상섭은 『진주는 주었으나』의 출판을 고심하기도 하였다. 염상섭은 이 작품 이전에 『만세전』과 『너희들은 무엇을 얻었느냐』를 통해 장편의 구조를 모색하였고 당대의 여러 욕망들을 분석한 바 있다. 『진주는 주었으나』는 당대 사회에 대한 작가의 비판정신이 뚜렷한 소설이다. 염상섭은 20년대 중반에 이미 글쓰기의 두 가지 경향을 보이고 있었다. 하나는 내성 위주의 관념소설과 극도의 비판정신이고 다른 하나는 근대인의 삶 풍속을 가볍게 그려내는 것이다. 후자는 당시 염상섭이 선택한 최소한의 현실 타협의 방법이었다고 생각할 수 있다. 강점하 참여와 사회적 표현이 불가능해진 상황에서 염상섭은 관념과 비판을 다소 희석화하는 방법을 생각해 내어야만 했던 것이다. 『진주는 주었으나』에도 볼 수 있는 근대적 장치는 그 방법 중의 하나였다. 염상섭은 ``부정한 사회에 대한 부정``을 통하여 타락한 시대에 대한 통렬한 반성을 보이는 작가이다. 『진주는 주었으나』 역시 물질 만능의 사회의 도덕적 타락에 대한 염상섭의 비판을 담고 있는 것이다. 작가가 이야기하고 싶은 것이 뚜렷하다 보니 염상섭은 이 작품에서 보다 직접적으로 작가의식을 노출하곤 하였다. 때로는 주인공 김효범의 내면적 갈등 속에서 빈번히 나타났지만 가장 많이 사용된 방식이 편지글이나 연설 장면이었다. 그러나 염상섭이 자신의 이야기하기에 급급하여 소설적 장치에 무관심하지 않았음을 이 작품은 보여준다. 자신이 이야기하고 싶은 바를 다소 직접적 방식으로 노출하는 연설도 당대 사회를 반영하는 근대적 장치 가운데 하나였으며 미행과 변장, 추리 등의 추리소설적 요소를 삽입하고 신문 기사의 인용 등 다양한 근대 매체의 이용이 이루어지고 있기 때문이다. Yeum Sang-sup`s 『Though gave the pearl』 could not take the attention of the learned circles. This work does not seem to draw many popularity at the day. Yeum Sang-sup agonized for the publication of the 『Though gave the pearl』. Yeum Sang-sup investigated through 『the Independent movement before』 & 『What you got』 about the structure of the novels before this work. He analyzed many desires of the day in many novels. 『Though gave the pearl』 is a novel that had clear critic spirit of the writer about a day society. Yeum Sang-sup lightly wrote novels to put the custom of that time and the critic spirit of real life. This novel included the two kind of the tendency. 『Though gave the pearl』 included the modern device-it lightly reflected that time. Yeum Sang-sup is a writer who seriously reflects about the wrong period through the negation about the society to deny. 『Though gave the pearl 』 This novel criticizes too about the moral depravity of a material omnipotence society. The writer, Yeum Sang-sup tried to treat social problem through this novel. Therefore he exposed directly the writer`s consciousness in this work. It is often appeared in an internal complications of hero in this work. In another method, it is layed much scenes a lettering or a speeches in the novel. At this time speech that Yeum Sang-sup used in the novel was one of a modern device. The writer put the detective story`s elements-the disguise, the shadowing, the reasooning and used the newspaper articles. All these was the modern devices that the writer used for the interest in his novel.
