( Zhiping Peng ),( Bo Xu ),( Antonio Marcel Gates ),( Delong Cui ),( Weiwei Lin ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.7

In the dynamic cloud computing environment, to ensure, under the terms of service-level agreements, the maximum efficiency of resource utilization, it is necessary to investigate the online dynamic management of virtual machine resources and their operational application systems/components. In this study, the feasibility and properties of the division of virtual machine resources on the cloud platform, using the virtual machine cluster as the management unit, are investigated. First, the definitions of virtual machine clusters are compared, and our own definitions are presented. Then, the feasibility of division using the virtual machine cluster as the management unit is described, and the isomorphism and reconfigurability of the clusters are proven. Lastly, from the perspectives of clustering and cluster segmentation, the dynamics of virtual machines are described and experimentally compared. This study aims to provide novel methods and approaches to the optimization management of virtual machine resources and the optimization configuration of the parameters of virtual machine resources and their application systems/components in large-scale cloud computing environments.

The Impact of Proteolytic Pork Hydrolysate on Microbial, Flavor and Free Amino Acids Compounds of Yogurt

Lin, Jinzhong,Hua, Baozhen,Xu, Zhiping,Li, Sha,Ma, Chengjie Korean Society for Food Science of Animal Resource 2016 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.36 No.4

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of proteolytic pork hydrolysate (PPH) on yoghurt production by Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. Fresh lean pork was cut into pieces and mixed with deionized water and dealt with protease, then the resulting PPH was added to milk to investigate the effects of PPH on yoghurt production. The fermentation time, the viable cell counts, the flavor, free amino acids compounds, and sensory evaluation of yoghurt were evaluated. These results showed that PPH significantly stimulated the growth and acidification of the both bacterial strains. When the content of PPH reached 5% (w/w), the increased acidifying rate occurred, which the fermentation time was one hour less than that of the control, a time saving of up to 20% compared with the control. The viable cell counts, the total free amino acids, and the scores of taste, flavor and overall acceptability in PPH-supplemented yoghurt were higher than the control. Furthermore, the contents of some characteristic flavor compounds including acids, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and esters were richer than the control. We concluded that the constituents of PPH such as small peptide, vitamins, and minerals together to play the stimulatory roles and result in beneficial effect for the yoghurt starter cultures growth.

      • The Recognition Method of Radiation Source Based on Information Entropy and Cloud Model

        Yun Lin,Can Wang,Chunguang Ma,Zheng Dou,Zhiqiang Wu,Zhiping Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.9 No.2

Information entropy features are often used for radiation source signal recognition, but due to the information entropy is very sensitive to noise, so this method has greater recognition rate changes with the SNR. This paper putting forward a viable recognition based on Entropy and cloud model. using cloud model to extract secondary features of signals, build radiation source signal’s entropy and cloud feature vector. The method uses cloud model description and processing interval fuzzy and observation noise data, better solve the low SNR cases of radiation source signal feature extraction problem. At the same time, putting forward the similar cloud classification recognition algorithm based on cloud model. The simulation results show that Entropy and cloud model has better recognition effect under low SNR, which can improve the signals’ recognition rate under low SNR.

      • Parallel FM Signal Demodulation System based on Software Radio Platform

        Yun Lin,Jiaxing Wang,Chao Lv,Zhiqiang Wu,Qiang Li,Zhiping Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.3

A parallel FM signal demodulation system is designed in this paper. All FM signals from 90MHz to 110MHz could be captured, separated and restored into original information. The method of digital channelized receiving is used in the system to divide the broadband signals into independent ones according to their center frequency. This design could be used in the field of electron reconnaissance and multichannel communication system. We realized the design on a software radio platform based on the structure of SCA (Software Communication Architecture), and the advantages of this ideal is discussed in the paper.

      • Genetic Analysis of Generalized S-Transform

        Yun Lin,Xiaowan Yu,Chunguang Ma,Zheng Dou,Zhiqiang Wu,Zhiping Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.9 No.4

This text starts with the short time Fourier transform and continuous wavelet transform to deduce the generalized S-transformation. From the point of generation views, we analyzed a relative relationship between generalized S-transformation and the short time Fourier transform, and the other relative relationship between generalized S transform and continuous wavelet transform. The article gives the definition of “the gene mutation of formula” and “the genetic restructuring of formula”, and introduces the deriving process of the two core concept. Theoretical analyses show that generalized S-transformation inherited the desirable characteristics in short time Fourier transform which use the window function to select suitable signal. Through genome sequencing of specific parameters, generalized S-transformation has a stronger adaptation that the time-frequency window could make real-time adjusting of frequency. Moreover, generalized S-transformation breaks out limitation that the wavelet function has to content the admissible conditions. From the point of gene mutation, we give the definition of “the gene mutation of formula”. Based on the structure form of wavelet functions, we define the generalized S-transformation with a wider domain of definition. Generalized S-transformation inherited the desirable characteristics of the short time Fourier transform and continuous wavelet transform. It has great utility and flexibility in analyzing non-stationary signals.

Anterior Transarticular Crossing Screw Fixation for Atlantoaxial Joint Instability: A Biomechanical Study

        Hang Xiao,Zhiping Huang,Panjie Xu,Junyu Lin,Qingan Zhu,Wei Ji 대한척추신경외과학회 2023 Neurospine Vol.20 No.3

Objective: To evaluate the biomechanical stability of anterior transarticular crossing screw (ATCS) and compare it with anterior transarticular screw (ATS) which may provide basic evidence for clinical application. Methods: Eight human fresh cadaveric specimens (occiput-C4) were tested with 5 conditions including the intact status, the injury status (type II odontoid fracture), the injury+ATS fixation status (traditional bilateral ATS fixation); the injury+unilateral ATCS fixation status; and the injury+bilateral ATCS fixation status. Specimens were applied to a pure moment of 1.5 Nm in flexion-extension, lateral bending, and axial rotation, respectively. The range of motions (ROMs) and the neutral zones (NZs) of C1 to C2 segment were calculated and compared between 5 status. Results: ATS and ATCS fixations significantly reduced the motions in all directions when compared with the intact and injury statues (p < 0.05). In flexion-extension, the ROMs of ATS, unilateral ATCS, and bilateral ATCS were 4.7° ± 2.5°, 4.1° ± 1.9°, and 3.2° ± 1.2°, respectively. Bilateral ATCS resulted in a significant decrease in ROM in flexion-extension when compared with ATS and unilateral ATCS (p = 0.035 and p = 0.023). In lateral bending and axial rotation, there was no significant difference in ROM between the 3 fixations (p > 0.05). Three fixations resulted in similar NZs in all directions (p > 0.05). Conclusion: ATCS is a biomechanically effective alternative or supplemental method for atlantoaxial instability

High-Frequency Targeted Mutagenesis in Pseudomonas stutzeri Using a Vector-Free Allele-Exchange Protocol

( Ahmed E. Gomaa ),( Zhiping Deng ),( Zhimin Yang ),( Liguo Shang ),( Yuhua Zhan ),( Wei Lu ),( Min Lin ),( Yongliang Yan ) 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2017 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.27 No.2

The complexity of the bacterial recombination system is a barrier for the construction of bacterial mutants for the further functional investigation of specific genes. Several protocols have been developed to inactivate genes from the genus Pseudomonas. Those protocols are complicated and time-consuming and mostly do not enable easy construction of multiple knock-ins/outs. The current study describes a single and double crossover-recombination system using an optimized vector-free allele-exchange protocol for gene disruption and gene replacement in a single species of the family Pseudomonadaceae. The protocol is based on selfligation (circularization) for the DNA cassette which has been obtained by overlapping polymerase chain reaction (Fusion-PCR), and carries an antibiotic resistance cassette flanked by homologous internal regions of the target locus. To establish the reproducibility of the approach, three different chromosomal genes (ncRNA31, rpoN, rpoS) were knocked-out from the root-associative bacterium Pseudomonas stutzeri A1501. The results showed that the P. stutzeri A1501 mutants, which are free of any plasmid backbone, could be obtained via a single or double crossover recombination. In order to optimize this protocol, three key factors that were found to have great effect on the efficiency of the homologous recombination were further investigated. Moreover, the modified protocol does not require further cloning steps, and it enables the construction of multiple gene knock-in/out mutants sequentially. This work provides a simple and rapid mutagenesis strategy for genome editing in P. stutzeri, which may also be applicable for other gram-negative bacteria.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this article, we introduce an analytic formulation for compressive binary classification. The formulation seeks to solve the least ℓ p -norm of the parameter vector subject to a classification error constraint. An analytic and stretchable estimation is conjectured where the estimation can be viewed as an extension of the pseudoinverse with left and right constructions. Our variance analysis indicates that the estimation based on the left pseudoinverse is unbiased and the estimation based on the right pseudoinverse is biased. Sparseness can be obtained for the biased estimation under certain mild conditions. The proposed estimation is investigated numerically using both synthetic and real-world data.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Proposed a novel cost function for counting the samples that are misclassified. </LI> <LI> Conjectured an analytic solution to a constrained p -norm minimization problem. </LI> <LI> Linkage of the proposed formulation to two existing classifiers. </LI> <LI> Provided variance analysis for the proposed analytic solution. </LI> <LI> Extensive experiments with comparison to state-of-the-arts. </LI> </UL> </P>
