A linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for road-sensing based on the differential evolution (DE) algorithm is proposed in this paper, called DE-LADRC, to obtain the better dynamic and steady-state responses of the road-sensing simulation in electric vehicle (EV) steering-by-wire (SBW) systems. Since the novel control method ignores the time delay modules in digital motor control, the controlled object is regarded as a first-order inertial link to design a first-order LADRC controller. Then aiming to solve the problem where the values of the controller parameters are changed and difficult to tune due to ignoring the time delay modules in the first-order LADRC controller, the differential evolution (DE) algorithm is designed to find the optimal controller parameters by self-tuning. Experiment results indicate the effectiveness and convergence of the DE-LADRC, as well as the correctness of the road-sensing planning. In addition, the DE-LADRC can provide the smoother feel and real-time road-sensing for driver due to experiment of a Hardware in the Loop (HIL) platform under convergent iteration.

Fuel ethanol is one of the most important alternative fuels used as a substitute for fossil fuel. Lignocellulose is the most abundant biomass resource for the production of fuel ethanol. However, the hydrolysis of lignocellulose requires high enzyme loading. In order to strengthen the process of enzyme hydrolysis of lignocellulose,surfactant-polyethylene glycol (PEG) was applied to the catalysis of lignocellulose into fermentable sugars. The effect of PEG on both the enzymatic hydrolysis and adsorption of cellulose were investigated. The addition of surfactant obviously facilitated enzymatic hydrolysis. In particular, upon addition of PEG4000, the enzyme catalytic efficiency increased by 51.06%. Meanwhile, the adsorption quantity of cellulase decreased by 11.25%. In addition, the mechanism of the effect of PEG on enzymatic hydrolysis and cellulase adsorption is discussed.

Two novel Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, non-motile, and yellow-pigmented, irregular rod-shaped bacteria (JY.X269 and JY.X270T) were isolated from the near-surface sediments of river in Qinghai Province, P. R. China (32°37′13″N, 96°05′37″E) in July 2019. Both strains were shown to grow at 15–35 °C and pH 7.0–10.0, and in the presence of 0–6.0% (w/v) NaCl. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis showed that the isolates were closely related to Ornithinimicrobium cavernae CFH 30183 T (98.6–98.8% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity), O. ciconiae H23M54T (98.5–98.6%) and O. murale 01-Gi-040T (98.3–98.5%). The phylogenetic and phylogenomic trees based on the 16S rRNA gene and 537 core gene sequences, respectively, revealed that the two strains formed a distinct cluster with the above three species. The digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) and average nucleotide identity (ANI) values between our two isolates (JY.X269 and JY.X270T) and other Ornithinimicrobium species were within the ranges of 19.0–23.9% and 70.8–80.4%, respectively, all below the respective recommended 70.0% and 95–96% cutoff point. Furthermore, the major cellular fatty acids (> 10.0%) of strains JY.X269 and JY.X270T were iso-C15:0, iso-C16:0, and summed feature 9. Strain JY.X270T contained MK-8(H4) and ornithine as the predominant menaquinone and diagnostic diamino acid component within the cell wall teichoic acids. β-cryptoxanthin ( C40H56O) can be extracted from strain JY.X270T, and its content is 6.3 μg/ml. Based on results from the phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic analyses, the two strains could be classified as a novel species of the genus Ornithinimicrobium, for which the name Ornithinimicrobium cryptoxanthini sp. nov. is proposed (type strain JY.X270T = CGMCC 1.19147T = JCM 34882T).

In this study, pure ZnO (ZnO-1, ZnO-2) with two different morphologies, andgraphene doped ZnO-2 (G-ZnO-2) were synthesized using a simplehydrothermal process at 150 °C. The formaldehyde gas sensing performanceof the G-ZnO-2 composite, synthesized by an in-situ method was investigated. The morphologies and the structures of the nanomaterials were characterizedby X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electronic microscopy, andtransmission electron microscopy. The experimental results indicate that the GZnO-2 based sensor exhibits unique advantages for the sensing offormaldehyde gas at concentrations in the range of 2 to 2000 ppm, such as fastresponse/recovery time and good selectivity, at an optimal workingtemperature of 200 °C. The improved sensing performance of the G-ZnO-2composite indicates that the addition of graphene is effective in improving theformaldehyde sensing performance of ZnO-based sensors.

Background Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of COVID-19. The research community has responded rapidly and has already published many research articles about this topic. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library as well as CNKI, Wanfang and VIP from January 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021. The dates of publication, language of publication, methodological characteristics and the key findings were analyzed separately. The data are presented as bar graphs, structured tables and figures. Results In this scoping review, 16 research articles were included: 7 case reports, 6 observational studies, 1 review, 1 RCT and 1 nonrandomized clinical trial. The majority of the articles (81.3%) were published by Chinese scholars, 12.5% articles were by scholars in the United States, and 6.3% articles were by scholars in Iran. The included studies reported that acupuncture could alleviate the symptoms of COVID-19 patients, shorten their hospitalization days, and is effective for the elderly. There were no side effects reported. The most frequent acupoints used were LI4, PC6, ST36 and KI3. They reported many obstacles in implementing acupuncture therapy for treating COVID-19 patients. Conclusion Acupuncture has a good effect for the treatment of COVID-19, but high-quality evidence support is still lacking. Coupled with the difficulties that acupuncturists experienced during the process of treatment, the promotion of acupuncture treatment for COVID-19 faces many obstacles.
