        보건소 건강증진사업 성과평가지표 개발

        The ultimate goal of health promotion programs is to improve the quality of life through promoting community health. Since the performance of health promotion programs are greatly affected by the quality of the planning and implementation process of the programs, the proper quality assessment of the program process is very important. According to existing literature, the tool for assessing the quality of the process and implementation as well as the outcome. However, no assessment tool for the quality of the process of health promotion programs has been developed in Korea. The purpose of the study is to develop a quality assessment tool for the process of health promotion programs being conducted at public health centers in Korea. The quality assessment tool developed in the study consists of the following four domains : strategic planning (14 items), program management (11 items), monitoring and evaluation (13 items), and resources and information (15 items). The strategic planning deals with the function of the planning staff and committees, community data analysis, the feasibility of the program, and the approach methods for attaining the goal of the program. The program management includes items on the qualification and power of the program staff. Monitoring and evaluation deals with the planning and education for monitoring, reporting and communication among program units, and feedback after monitoring. Finally, the resource and information covers the planning and activities for obtaining resources and information, community networking, beneficiaries' response, and consulting activity of the staff.

        노인전문병원 근무자들의 직무만족도 결정요인

        This study purports to investigate the determinant of job satisfaction among workers working at Long-term care hospitals. The independent variables contain three groups of determinants: organizational characteristics variables(job autonomy, job variety, distri- butive justice, role conflict, supervisor support, job suitability, job significance, job security, organizational support, job growth, promotional opportunity), environmental variables(job opportunity), and psychological variables(met expectation, job efficacy, positive affectivity, and negative affectivity). The sample used in this study consisted of 250 workers from 4 Long-term care hospitals nationwide. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows: 1) the following variables, listed in order of size, have significant effects on job satisfaction: negative affectivity(-), job significance(+), job growth(+), age(+), positive affectivity(+), organizational support(+), job opportunity(-). 2) the variance of job satisfaction explained by the variables used in the study are 53.8%. When demographic variables added to ModelⅠ, job satisfaction explained by variables are 55.4%. 3) the results of this study indicate that three variables of negative affectivity, job significance, job growth are especially important for improving the level of job satisfaction among workers at Long-term care hospitals.

        대학병원 근로자의 지식경영 준비도에 관한 연구

        This study purports to investigate the readiness of the university hospital employees in the knowledge-based management. Data were collected from 550 employees including administrative, nursing, and technical staff of 9 university hospitals located in Seoul and Kyunggi Province through the self-administered questionnaires. The response rate was 79% and 425 questionnaires were used as final data and analyzed using 2 test, t-test, and ANOVA. The main findings of the study are as follows. 1) It seems that most employees of the study hospitals have basic knowledge on the concept of knowledge-based management. This finding implies that the implementation of the knowledge-based management. This finding implies that the implementation of the knowledge-based management in Korean university hospitals will not likely to face strong resistance from their employees. 2) The results show that Korean hospital employees are still not so accustomed to using e-mail as the main communication tool. This finding suggests that it is necessary to use various communication tools which include electronic data interchange, teleconference, and cyber chatting for facilitating the knowledge-based management in Korean university hospitals. 3) It is desirable to appoint a chief knowledge officer(CKO) for operating knowledge-based management system effectively. 4) A reward system for employees who shoe a distinguished performance in the creation and sharing of new knowledge should be established. Knowledge mileage system, selection of the best knowledge employee and team will be a good example of the effective reward system. 5) The participation and support from the chief executive officers (CEO) of the hospitals is an important factor for successful knowledge-based management. Furthermore, to make physicians actively participate in the knowledge-based management is another important factor for obtaining valuable outputs from the system. 6) It is found that the knowledge and skills of the hospitals employees on the information technology (IT) are not sufficient for making knowledge-based management more popular. This implies that it is very important to select IT-oriented employees and educate them continuously on the knowledge-based management.

        보건소 건강증진사업 수행과정의 질 평가지표 개발 -고혈압관리사업에서의 타당도 검증-

        This study purports to develop a quality assessment tool for the process of health promotion programs at public health centers(PHC). The draft of the assessment tool developed by the literature was distributed to 242 staffs who were in charge of the health promotion programs at PHCs for evaluating the feasibility of the tool on September and October 2002. The major results of the study were as follows; The quality assessment tool developed in the study consisted of four domains: strategic planning, program management, monitoring and evaluation, and resources and information. The strategic planning dealt with the function of the planning staff and committees, community data analysis, the feasibility of the program, and the approach methods for attaining the goal of the program. The program management included the items on the qualification and power of the program staff. The monitoring and evaluation included the items on the reporting and communication among program units, and feed back after monitoring. Finally, the resources and information dealt with community networking, clients` response, and consulting activity of the staff. The validity of the tools was tested and partly supported by both formative and criterion-related methods. The assessment tools developed in this study could be used by health promotion workers in the self-evaluation of the program quality. In conclusion, the quality assessment tool developed in the study will be a good safeguard for assuring the quality of the process of health promotion programs.

        분배 및 절차공정성이 종합병원 간호사들의 직무태도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of distributive and procedural justice on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among hospital nurses. The samples of this study consisted of 353 nurses from 8 general hospitals located in Seoul and Youngnam area in Korea. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using hierarchical regression technique. Contrary to the predictions of the interaction, main effect or cultural model, the results of this study show that both distributive and procedural justice have significant positive impacts on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among hospital nurses, and the former has stronger effects than the latter. The results imply that hospital administrators should take measures to establish procedural and distributive justice to increase job satisfaction and organizational commitment among hospital nurses.

        The Effect of Technology Orientation on Integrative Supply Chain Strategy and Operational Performance

        최근 다수의 선행연구들은 공급사슬통합과 운영성과와의 정의 상관관계를 확인하였으며, 이에 따라 통합정보기술은 공급사슬전략의 중요한 요소라고 인식하여 왔다. 그러나 기업 내 통합정보기술에 대한 투자를 촉진시키는 요인에 대한 연구는 여전히 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 전략적 지향성 중 한 요소인 기술지향성이 통합정보기술, 공급사슬통합, 운영성과에 유의미한 영향을 주는 선행요인인지에 대해 실증분석을 실시하였다. 주요 방법론으로 우리나라 101개 제조업체의 응답을 바탕으로 구조방정식 모형을 구현하였다. 그 결과 기술지향성은 공급사슬전략과 운영성과에 정의 영향을 나타냈다. 또한, 통합정보기술은 공급사슬통합에 정의 영향을 나타냈고, 이어 공급사슬통합은 운영성과에 정의 영향을 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 우리나라의 제조업체들이 운영성과를 높이기 위해서 통합정보기술과 공급사슬통합의 결정요인인 기술지향성을 향상시켜야 한다는 점을 보여준다. Integrative information technology has been widely adopted as a key component of supply chain integration strategy, following extensive recent research which has confirmed a positive association between supply chain integration and operational performance. However, although integrative information technology is often assumed to enhance supply chain integration and operational performance, the factors which encourage firms to invest in integrative information technology are less certain. To investigate this uncertainty, this study amplifies earlier work on the impact of integrative information technology on supply chain integration by introducing strategic orientation, especially technology orientation, as a potential antecedent of integrative information technology and supply chain integration. An instrument was devised to glean the perceived relationships between technology orientation, integrative information technology, supply chain integration, and operational performance, and was completed by 101 South Korean manufacturers. Structural equation modeling of their responses indicates that technology orientation has a significant impact on integrative supply chain strategy and operational performance. In addition, integrative information technology has a significant effect on supply chain integration which in turn affects operational performance positively. To improve the operational performance of manufacturing organizations in South Korea requires an increased technology orientation, which is an antecedent of integrative information technology and operational performance. Given the global importance of South Korean manufacturers, future studies could usefully investigate the incidence of these antecedents in other economies.
