      • A Study on the DC Link Voltage Balancing for Power Conditioners based on Cascaded H-bridges

        In medium and high power field, cascade multilevel converter has been paid more attentions to research and application. When the cascade multilevel converters compensate reactive power and harmonic current, the control of the floating capacitor voltage has been being a hot research topic. So far, DC bus voltage balance control method can be divided into two groups: circuit balance and algorithm balance. The latter one is preferable from both cost and other aspects. Based on layered control algorithm, this paper focus on the voltage balance fundament and analyzes the process of DC capacitor’s absorbing active power and releasing active power with the influence of converter’s output pulse voltage. Based on this fundament, a new control method, voltage vector trimming in the parallel direction, is introduced. Compared with other DC voltage balance control methods, this method has the advantage of improving efficiency of DC voltage. At last, the simulation based on the tools of matlab/simulink is made. The simulation result results indict that this DC voltage balance control method functions well.

        Automatic Classification Method for Oracle Images based on Deep Learning

        There are some problems in oracle image classification, such as high image-feature extraction error and low classification accuracy, which leads to low efficiency. Therefore, we designed an automatic classification method for oracle images based on deep learning. The clustering center of an oracle image is determined using k-means algorithm. The obtained oracle image block is used as parallel input to extract a dictionary. The oracle image features are output through a feature mapping function for feature extraction. The CS algorithm is used to reduce the dimension of the oracle image, and the oracle feature compressed sensing signal is sparse under a certain basis for preprocessing of image features. The center of six feature points in the features is used to describe the center of the feature points of the whole oracle image, to determine the position change state of the feature points, and to characterize the key features of the image to achieve the target alignment of oracle image feature points. Based on this, the image feature data are learned using a transfer learning model. The automatic classifier was constructed through a convolution neural network. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce the error of image feature extraction and improve the classification accuracy. At the application level, the research results of this paper have brought great improvement to the performance of oracle image classification technology. At the theoretical level, this research introduces k-means and CS algorithms to oracle image classification technology based on deep learning and makes an effective exploration in the direction of this technological progress.

        Simulation of the Field Emission from a Hemisphere-on-Post Nanowire: Revision of the Fowler–Nordheim Formula in Terms of Nonuniformity and Resistance

        The electric field on a hemisphere-on-post nanowire is numerically calculated using the finite element method (FEM). The FEM calculation results show that the field is sufficiently strong for extracting a significant field emission current only in a small area at the top of the hemisphere, while the contribution to the field emission from the other part of the hemisphere and the flank side of the cylinder is negligible owing to the rapid drop of the electric field. Both the local current density at the top of the hemisphere (Jc) and the average current density across the nanowire cross-section (Ja) are calculated and the Ja-to-Jc ratio (α) is introduced to reflect the non-uniformity of the field emission. An empirical formula with proper parameters that can best fit the simulation results is derived for describing the dependence of α on the macroscopic electric field (Fm). As a result, the Ja–Fm relationship is attained and the revision to the traditional Fowler–Nordheim (FN) formula caused by the nonuniformity of field distribution is found in both the pre-exponent part and the exponent part, so that the deviation of the FN plots from linearity often observed in experiments is partly accounted for. Moreover, the resistance at the emitter-substrate interface is shown to cause saturation in the field emission current and a downward bending of the FN plot in the high-field region.

        Luzhong mutton sheep: inbreeding and selection signatures

        Intense artificial selection has been imposed to Luzhong mutton sheep population in the past years. Improvements on growth and reproductive performance are two breeding goals in the present herd. Although some progresses were phenotypically observed possibly due to inbreeding induced by strong selection in terms of these traits, the genomic evaluation was poorly understood. Therefore, a high-density SNP array was used to characterize the pattern of runs of homozygosity (ROH), estimate inbreeding and inbreeding depressions on early growth performance and litter size based upon ROH, and scan positive selection signatures of recent population. Consequently, a low inbreeding level was observed which had negative effects on litter size, but not on early growth performance. And 160 genes were under selection, of which some were reported to be linked to several traits of sheep including body weight, litter size, carcass and meat quality, milk yield and composition, fiber quality and health, and the top genes were associated with growth (growth hormone [GH]- growth hormone receptor [GHR]- Insulin-like growth factor 1 [IGF1] axis) and litter size (bone morphogenic proteins [BMPs]-associated). The effectiveness of previous breeding measures was highlighted, but purging selection was proposed to alleviate the inbreeding depression on litter size, providing some genomic insights to breeding management of Luzhong mutton sheep.
