        Automatic Segmentation of Retinal Blood Vessels Based on Improved Multiscale Line Detection

        The appearance of retinal blood vessels is an important diagnostic indicator of serious disease, such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and stroke. Automatic segmentation of the retinal vasculature is a primary step towards automatic assessment of the retinal blood vessel features. This paper presents an automated method for the enhancement and segmentation of blood vessels in fundus images. To decrease the influence of the optic disk, and emphasize the vessels for each retinal image, a multidirectional morphological top-hat transform with rotating structuring elements is first applied to the background homogenized retinal image. Then, an improved multiscale line detector is presented to produce a vessel response image, and yield the retinal blood vessel tree for each retinal image. Since different line detectors at varying scales have different line responses in the multiscale detector, the line detectors with longer length produce more vessel responses than the ones with shorter length; the improved multiscale detector combines all the responses at different scales by setting different weights for each scale. The methodology is evaluated on two publicly available databases, DRIVE and STARE. Experimental results demonstrate an excellent performance that approximates the average accuracy of a human observer. Moreover, the method is simple, fast, and robust to noise, so it is suitable for being integrated into a computer-assisted diagnostic system for ophthalmic disorders.

      • Construction of E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Curriculum System for College Students: An Information Entrepreneurship Perspective

        With the rapid development of Electronic Commerce, the demand for the quantity and professional knowledge of the professional talents in electronic commerce is continuously improving. The development of network market provides an opportunity for college students to start their own business, and the ultimate goal of e-commerce business entrepreneurship is to cultivate students' ability to use e-commerce to start a business. In this paper, the authors analyze the construction of e-commerce entrepreneurship curriculum system for college students based on information technology perspective. In the curriculum system construction, the course is divided into three levels; the first level is mainly about the basic knowledge of e-business, second level is mainly about business development course, and the third levels of curriculum mainly about laws and regulations. Establish and perfect the innovation and entrepreneurship curriculum system, and cultivate the students' awareness of online entrepreneurship is a development trend in the future.

      • Research on the Business Model of E-commerce Platform based on Value Co-creation Theory

        With the rapid development of social media and electronic commerce, the number of people using online shopping is increasing; this trend has promoted the emergence and development of social business. The value of social business is created by users and enterprises, so that value co-creation theory has great significance for the study of social business. In this paper, we analyze interactive process of value co-creation and study the influencing factors. Using empirical analysis, the result shows that website quality, reciprocity and altruism has a positive correlation with customer value creating behavior, however, incentive mechanism doesn’t influence value co-creation behavior. On this basis, we put forward some concrete suggestions to the social business.

        Fluorine-Doped Graphene/Nanosized Carbide-Derived Carbon Composites for High-Performance Supercapacitor

        A graphene-based composite with high electrochemical performance for supercapacitor applications is fabricated by introducing nanoscale carbide-derived carbon (NCDC) into the fluorine-doped graphene (FG). The incorporation of fluorine can increase the specific capacitance of graphene by providing more pseudocapacitance, whereas the introduction of NCDC into the FG/NCDC composite offers high specific surface area (SSA) (up to 1317 m2 g -1) and hierarchical pore structure, resulting in an enhanced electric double layer capacitance. Due to the synergistic effect of pseudocapacitance and electric double layer capacitance, the specific capacitance of FG/NCDC composite can reach 321 F g -1 at a scan rate of 5 mV s -1 in aqueous electrolyte. Notably, the specific capacitance of the FG/NCDC composite is very stable during long-term cyclic tests, with no significant degradation after 10,000 cycles. Due to its excellent supercapacitive performance, the FG/NCDC composite can be considered as a promising electrode material for high-performance supercapacitors.

        Room temperature ferromagnetism in Ni-doped ZnO films

        Zn1-xNixO (x = 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.07) films were prepared using magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction indicates that all samples have a wurtzite structure with c-axis orientation. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results reveal that the Ni ion is in a +2 charge state in these films. Magnetization measurements indicate that all samples have room temperature ferromagnetism. In order to elucidate the origin of the ferromagnetism, Zn0.97Ni0.03O films were grown under different atmospheric ratios of argon to oxygen. The results show that as the fraction of oxygen in the atmosphere decreases, both the saturation magnetization and the number of oxygen vacancies increase, confirming that the ferromagnetism is correlated with the oxygen vacancy level.

      • Expression of bcl-2 and p53 in Induction of Esophageal Cancer Cell Apoptosis by ECRG2 in Combination with Cisplatin

        Aim: To investigate the mechanisms of induction of apoptosis of esophageal cancer cells by esophageal cancer-related gene 2 (ECRG2) in combination with cisplatin (DDP). Methods: Hoechest staining was performed to analyze the effects of single ECRG2 and ECRG2 in combination with DDP on apoptosis of EC9706 cells. The expression levels of p53 and bcl-2 mRNA and protein were determined by RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. Results: The number of apoptotic cells after the treatment with ECRG2 in combination with DDP for 24 hours was more than that after the treatment with single ECRG2. RT-PCR and Western blotting showed that the expression levels of bcl-2 mRNA and protein were both down-regulated, while p53 mRNA and protein were both up-regulated in the cells treated with ECRG2 in combination with DDP compared with those given ECRG2 alone. Conclusion: ECRG2 in combination with DDP can enhance the apoptosis of EC9706 cells, possibly by down-regulating bcl-2 expression and up-regulating p53.

      • ANXA2 Regulates the Behavior of SGC-7901 Cells

        ANXA2, a member of the annexin family, is overexpressed and plays important roles in tumor development. However, the significance of ANXA2 expression in gastric carcinoma has not been clarified.To elucidate its roles in growth of gastric cancer, ANXA2 expression in SGC-7901 cells was inhibited with a designated siRNA, then cell proliferation, cell cycling, apoptosis and motility were determined by MTT assay, flow cytometry, Hoechst 33342 staining and wound healing assay, respectively. To further assess the behavior of ANXA2 deleted SGC-7901 cells, changes of microstructures were observed under fluorescence microscopy, laser scanning confocal microscopy and electron microscopy. We found that inhibition of ANXA2 expression caused cell proliferation to decrease significantly with G1 arrest, motility to be reduced with changes in pseudopodia/filopodia structure and F-actin and ${\beta}$-tubulin expression, and apoptosis to be enhanced albeit without significance. At the same time, ANXA2 deletion resulted in fewer pseudopodia/filopodia, non-stained areas were increased, contact inhibition among cells reappeared, and expression of F-actin and ${\beta}$-tubulin was decreased, with induction of polymerized disassembled forms. Taken together, these data suggest that ANXA2 overexpression is important to maintain the malignancy of cancer cells, and this member of the annexin family has potential to be considered as a target for the gene therapy of gastric carcinoma.

        An Innovative Collaborative Design of Shape and Performance for Super-High-Contact-Ratio Spiral Bevel Gear

        For upgrading the transmission performance of spiral bevel gear and extending the time between overhauls of the helicopter reducer, an innovative multi-objective collaborative optimization strategy of shape and performance is put up for the super-high-contact-ratio spiral bevel gear transmission with the contact path along tooth width based on ease-off. Firstly, according to the preset contact path curve along tooth width and the symmetrical transmission error curve, the pinion optimal surface satisfying the preset functions is obtained based on ease-off. Secondly, based on the basic principles of simulated annealing and gravitational search, the simulated annealing-gravity search cooperative intelligent optimization algorithm is set up for the calculation of the multi-objective collaborative optimization model of the spiral bevel gear transmission, and the modified surface of pinion satisfying the function requirements is obtained based on the collaborative optimization of shape and performance. Finally, combined with the tooth contact analysis method, meshing impact analysis method and dynamic analysis method, the loaded transmission error, meshing impact and dynamic performance of the super-high-contact-ratio spiral bevel gear transmissions are discussed. The simulation result shows the contact path of the collaborative designed spiral bevel gear transmission is along the tooth width, and the contact ratio reaches the maximum. The loaded transmission error, meshing impact, dynamic load factor and root mean square of vibration acceleration of the collaborative design spiral bevel gear transmission are all smaller than the original design and optimized design spiral bevel gear transmissions. The feasibility of the innovative multi-objective collaborative optimization strategy of shape and performance for the spiral bevel gear is verified, and the super-high-contact-ratio design can greatly cut down the contact vibration of the spiral bevel gear transmissions and better the helicopter’s performance.
