We have studied(??) reactions from an emulsion target. The S--2H dibaryon has been searched for by the analysis of the ??? momentum spectrum together with emulsion data. No evidence of H production was observed in the mass range of 1.90-2.16 GeV/c². Upper limits for the production cross section of the H are (0.2-0.6)% of that for the quasifree ??? production at the 90% confidence level.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising method for the localized treatment of solid tumors. In order to enhance the efficacy of PDT, we have recently developed a novel class of photosensitizer formulation, i.e., the dendrimer phthalocyanine (DPc)-encapsulated polymeric micelle (DPc/m). The DPc/m induced efficient and unprecedentedly rapid cell death accompanied by characteristic morphological changes such as blebbing of cell membranes, when the cells were photoirradiated using a low power halogen lamp or a high power diode laser. The fluorescent microscopic observation using organelle-specific dyes demonstrated that DPc/m might accumulate in the endo-/lysosomes; however, upon photoirradiation, DPc/m might be promptly released into the cytoplasm and photodamage the mitochondria, which may account for the enhanced photocytotoxicity of DPc/m. This study also demonstrated that DPc/m showed significantly higher in vivo PDT efficacy than clinically used Photofrin(R) (polyhematoporphyrin esters, PHE) in mice bearing human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells. Furthermore, the DPc/m-treated mice did not show skin phototoxiciy, which was apparently observed for the PHE-treated mice, under the tested conditions. These results strongly suggest the usefulness of DPc/m in clinical PDT.
Motion Control of Linear Pulse Motor for Artificial Heart
H.Yamada,T.Mizuno,Y.Izumi,H.Wakiwaka,Y.Kataoka,Y.Kikuchi 전력전자학회 1998 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.- No.-
This paper deals with the difference of the static and kinetic thrust characteristics of a linear pulse motor (LPM) without and with feedback control for a total artificial heart (TAH). In general, the kinetic thrust of a LPM without feedback control decreases as increasing the mover velocity. The kinetic thrust characteristics of the LPM with feedback control are improved approximately 30 % as compared with the LPM without feedback control in the high velocity range.<br/>
A Primary Role for Nucleus Accumbens and Related Limbic Network in Vocal Tics

<P>Inappropriate vocal expressions, e.g., vocal tics in Tourette syndrome, severely impact quality of life. Neural mechanisms underlying vocal tics remain unexplored because no established animal model representing the condition exists. We report that unilateral disinhibition of the nucleus accumbens (NAc) generates vocal tics in monkeys. Whole-brain PET imaging identified prominent, bilateral limbic cortico-subcortical activation. Local field potentials (LFPs) developed abnormal spikes in the NAc and the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). Vocalization could occur without obvious LFP spikes, however, when phase-phase coupling of alpha oscillations were accentuated between the NAc, ACC, and the primary motor cortex. These findings contrasted with myoclonic motor tics induced by disinhibition of the dorsolateral putamen, where PET activity was confined to the ipsilateral sensorimotor system and LFP spikes always preceded motor tics. We propose that vocal tics emerge as a consequence of dysrhythmic alpha coupling between critical nodes in the limbic and motor networks.</P>
Compression Behavior of Form Block Walls Corresponding to the Strength of Block and Grout Concrete
S. Y. Seo,S. M. Jeon,K. T. Kim,M. Kuroki,K. Kikuchi 한국콘크리트학회 2015 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.9 No.1
This study aimed to present a reinforced concrete block system that reduces the flange thickness of the existing form block used in new buildings and optimizes the web form, and can thus capable of being used in the seismic retrofit of new and existing buildings. By conducting a compression test and finite element analysis based on the block and grouted concrete strength, it attempted to determine the compression capacity of the form block that can be used in new construction and seismic retrofit. As a result, the comparison of the strength equation from Architectural Institute of Japan to the prism compression test showed that the mortar coefficient of 0.55 was suitable instead of 0.75 recommended in the equation. The stress?strain relation of the block was proposed as a bi-linear model based on the compression test result of the single form block. Using the proposed model, finite element analysis was conducted on the prism specimens, and it was shown that the proposed model predicted the compression behavior of the form block appropriately.

Orthorombic Cu5(PO4)3(OH)4 (pseudomalachite) is a layered compound. Each Cu-O layer in thiscompound is separated by PO4 tetrahedra. The spin network in the bc-plane of a pseudomlachite iscomposed of triangles and pentagons, which will induce the spin frustration effect. This network maybe a new type of geometrically frustrated spin lattice. Magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, highfield magnetization measurements are used to study the magnetic properties of Cu5(PO4)3(OH)4 innatural mineral samples. Magnetic ordering is observed at around 4.2 K. The spin entropy changeat the transition temperature is about one-fifth times smaller than that expected for a usual longrangeorder. A 1/5 magnetization plateau is observed in the high-field magnetization curve. Theplateau is explained based on a simple model in which the spin network is assumed to be composedof chain, dimer and monomer units.
