In this study, BaTiO3 powder was synthesized by using the co-precipitation of BaCl2 and TiOCl2in a highly-alkaline solution at ambient pressure and a heating temperature lower than 100 C. Control of both the pH of the sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution and the concentrations of thestarting raw materials was studied to evaluate their effects on the grain size and the homogeneityof the powder. Under the condition of a solution pH of 14 and a reaction temperature of 80C, an average particle size of 80 nm was estimated. X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanningelectron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy analyses showed that with high-energyball milling in a bead mill, the uniformity and the dispersion of BaTiO3 particles could be enhanced.
PROXIMAL POINTS METHODS FOR GENERALIZED IMPLICIT VARIATIONAL-LIKE INCLUSIONS IN BANACH SPACES
He, Xin-Feng,Lou, Jian,He, Zhen The Youngnam Mathematical Society 2012 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.28 No.1
In this paper, we study generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations in Banach spaces. It is established that generalized implicit variational-like inclusions in real Banach spaces are equivalent to fixed point problems. We also establish relationship between generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations. This equivalence is used to suggest a iterative algorithm for solving $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations.

In this paper, we consider an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a asymptotically quasi nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Then we show that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of two sets. Using this result, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of a asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mapping and strictly pseudocontractive mapping and the problem of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mapping and the set of zeros of an inverse-strongly monotone mapping.

Human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hPSC-CMs) have great potential in applications such as regenerative medicine, cardiac disease modeling, and in vitro drug evaluation. However, hPSC-CMs are immature, which limits their applications. During development, the maturation of CMs is accompanied by a decline in their proliferative capacity. This phenomenon suggests that regulating the cell cycle may facilitate the maturation of hPSC-CMs. Aurora kinases are essential kinases that regulate the cell cycle, the role of which is not well studied in hPSC-CM maturation. Here, we demonstrate that CYC116, an inhibitor of Aurora kinases, significantly promotes the maturation of CMs derived from both human embryonic stem cells (H1 and H9) and iPSCs (induced PSCs) (UC013), resulting in increased expression of genes related to cardiomyocyte function, better organization of the sarcomere, increased sarcomere length, increased number of mitochondria, and enhanced physiological function of the cells. In addition, a number of other Aurora kinase inhibitors have also been found to promote the maturation of hPSC-CMs. Our data suggest that blocking aurora kinase activity and regulating cell cycle progression may promote the maturation of hPSC-CMs.
On the existence of solutions of extended generalized variational inequalities in Banach spaces
Xin-feng He,Xian Wang,Zhen He 영남수학회 2009 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.25 No.4
In this paper, we study the following extended generalized variational inequality problem, introduced by Noor (for short, EGVI) : Given a closed convex subset K in q-uniformly smooth Banach space B, three nonlinear mappings T :K → B*, g:K → K, h:K → K and a vector ξ ∈ B*, find x ∈ K, h(x) ∈ K such that [수식], for all y ∈ K, g(y)∈K.[see [2]: M. Aslam Noor, Extended general variational inequalities, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 182-186.] By using sunny nonexpansive retraction QK and the well-known Banach's fixed point principle, we prove existence results for solutions of (EGVI). Our results extend some recent results from the literature.
Wettability contrast on the surface of CuO nanostructures for highly efficient fog harvesting

Fog collection can provide a sustainable and efficient method for solving the shortage of water resources. In this article, CuO nanostructures were designed and synthesized on the Cu mesh by a one-step oxidation method and used to collect water from fog. Their morphology and surface wettability are characterized through scanning electron microscopy and dynamic contact angle measuring device, while the process of fog collection is investigated by a high-speed camera. The fog collection efficiency depends on the microstructure of the sample surface, which could be well controlled by adjusting the reaction temperature. Compared with CuO nanoneedles and CuO nanowire clusters, CuO nanosheets promote the rapid falling of liquid droplets, improving the fog harvesting efficiency, which can achieve 3168 mg/cm2 within 120 s. CuO nanosheets have ultra-low adhesion due to high roughness and high air restraint ability, accelerating the transport of water droplets and reducing the re-evaporation of water droplets.
