ESR法에 의한 Fe-18Ni Maraging 銅의 2次 精鍊에 關한 硏究

The primary objective of this study has been to develop the production scale technique of appling the ESR(Electro Slag Remelting) process to the secondary refining of Fe-18 Ni Maraging steels. Through this study, 60% Ca F2-20% Al2 O3-20% Ti O2 slag was proved to be useful in reducing the segregation between top and bottom of ingot and in stabilizing the recovery of oxidizing elements. Furthermore, ESR refining improved the mechanical properties of 250 and 300 grade Maraging steels, including the tensile strength and fracture toughness. These improvements were believed to be due to the reduction in non-metallic inclusions, particularly those of larger than 8㎛, and reduction in macro and micro-segregation. As a result, VIM+ESR process was proved to be a process which can be substituted for the VIM+VAR in the manufacturing of Fe-18 Ni Maraging Steel.

With emphasis on environmentally safe and sustainable and economically sound and oriented to consumer, this study intends to assess the consumer's cognition and attitudes for safe food distribution, to investigate the supplying system of the organic farm products, to survey the consumer and life cooperatives dealing with organic farm products, and to draw some implications toward environment and consumer-oriented agriculture. Related literatures and available documents were reviewed to conceptualize the environmental-and consumer-oriented agriculture and consumer and life cooperatives, to grasp the nationwide status of such alternative agriculture and consumer cooperatives, and investigate the consumers' cognition and attitude. In order to investigate the consumers' needs for organic farm products and to grasp the active consumer and life cooperatives dealing with organic farm products, questionnaire method and non-structured interview were applied. The environment-and consumer-oriented agriculture refers hero to the farming system in which any farm food and other living products giving no harm to human and livestock health and catering the consumers' need. The consumer and life cooperatives is consumer's group buying and selling organic farm products organized in the cooperative system with which any consumer can be affiliated to buy organic farm p개ducts safely and reasonably.
Development of Tungsten Heavy Alloy with Hybrid Structure for Kinetic Energy Penetrator

A new tungsten heavy alloy with hybrid structure was manufactured for the kinetic energy penetrator. The tungsten heavy alloy is composed of two parts: core region is molybdenum added heavy alloy to promote the self-sharpening; outer part encompassing the core is conventional heavy alloy to sustain severe load in a muzzle during firing. From ballistic test, it was found that the penetration performance of the hybrid structure tungsten heavy alloy is higher than that of conventional heavy alloy. This heavy alloy is thought to be very useful for the penetrator in the near future.

<P>We report on passive mode-locking of a Ti:sapphire laser employing a single-walled carbon nanotube saturable absorber (SWCNT-SA) specially designed and fabricated for wavelengths near 800 nm. Mode-locked pulses as short as 62 fs were generated at a repetition rate of 99.4 MHz. We achieved output powers from the SWCNT-SA mode-locked laser as high as 600 mW with a slope efficiency of 26%. The characteristics of SWCNT-SA-assisted mode-locking were compared with those of Kerr-lens mode-locking without SWCNT-SA.</P>

<P><B>Background</B></P><P>The present study addressed how 92% oxygen administration affects cognitive performance, blood oxygen saturation (SpO<SUB>2</SUB>), and heart rate (HR) of intellectually and developmentally disabled people.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>Seven males (28.9 ± 1.8 years) and seven females (34.4 ± 8.3 years) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (disabled level 2.1 ± 0.5) completed an experiment consisting a 0-back task with normal air (21% oxygen) administered in one run and hyperoxic air (92% oxygen) administered in the other run. The experimental sequence in each run consisted of a 1-min adaptation phase, 2-min control phase, and 2-min 0-back task phase, where SpO<SUB>2</SUB> and HR were gauged for each phase.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>The administration of 92% oxygen increased 0-back task performance of intellectually and developmentally disabled people, in association with increased SpO<SUB>2</SUB> and decreased HR. Our results demonstrate that sufficient oxygen supply subserving cognitive functions, even as a short-term effect, could increase cognitive ability for the intellectually and developmentally disabled people.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>It is concluded that enriched oxygen can positively affect, at least in the short-term, the working memory of those with intellectual and developmental disability.</P>
무선 센서 네트워크에서 비잔틴 오류를 고려한 시각 동기화 기법

본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크에서 시각 동기화 시 악의적인 노드의 시각 동기 방해 공격에 대처하기 위해 비잔틴 오류 감내 시각 동기화 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 부모 노드 뿐만 아니라 형제 노드로부터 시각 정보 메시지를 수신하여 오류에 대처한다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 제안 기법은 기존 시각 동기화 기법들에 비하여 시각 오류 발생시 동기 정확도 측면에서 최대 7배 향상된 성능을 보여주었다.
