        Bubble-tower solutions to asymptotically critical nonlocal elliptic equations on conformal infinities

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Assume that ( X , <SUP> g + </SUP> ) is an asymptotically hyperbolic manifold with conformal infinity ( M , [ h ˆ ] ) . We construct positive and sign-changing bubble-tower solutions to low-order perturbations of <I>γ</I>-Yamabe equations ( 0 < γ < 1 ) on ( M , h ˆ ) . These solutions exhibit isolated but non-simple blow-up in the sense of Schoen .</P>

        Let $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$ be a complete duality pair. We give some equivalent characterizations of Gorenstein $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$-projective modules and construct some model structures associated to duality pairs and Frobenius pairs. Some rings are described by Frobenius pairs. In addition, we investigate special Gorenstein $(\mathcal{L}, \mathcal{A})$-projective modules and construct some model structures and recollements associated to them.

        Whether trade and investment liberalization contribute to sustainable development or sabotage the basis of sustainable development is a question yet to be answered sufficiently, since the countries in the Asia-Pacific region are inclined to rely on foreing trade and foreign direct investment for their economic success. APEC has made remarkable achievements in advancing its trade and investment liberalization agenda due to its flexible mechanism and unique cooperative approach. With the same approach it has much to contribute to sustainable-development endeavors in the region. With the repid pace of integration into the world economy and liberalization of trade and investment, particularly in Asia-Pacific, developing countries and regions are facing tough choices as to how to achieve economic development on an environmentally sustainable basis. This study reviews and analyzes the state of the region's economies and challenges for the developing economies; and we identify opportunities for regional cooperation throgh APEC to reduce, simultaneously, the impediments to promoting trade liberalization, environmental improvement, and economic development.

        Effects of Health Promotion Behavior on Exercise Addiction and Leisure Satisfaction among Chinese Male Bodybuilding Participants

        In this study, male bodybuilding participants in Harbin, China in 2020 were selected as the subjects. The cluster sampling method was used, and a total of 200 samples were collected. To confirm the relationship between exercise addiction and leisure satisfaction between male bodybuilding participants' health promotion behavior, questionnaires were designed according to the self-administration law. A total of 185 questionnaires were used for the final analysis, excluding 15 copies of data judged to be insincere from the recovered questionnaires. In order to meet the purpose of this study, data judged to contain insincere negative answers or unreliable responses among the collected questionnaires are deleted from the analysis, and the questionnaires judged to be reliable are coded, and analyzed using the statistical program SPSS Windows 26.0. The version was entered and analyzed as follows. Frequency analysis was performed to derive general characteristics, and exploratory factor analysis and reliability verification Cronbach's alpha were performed to secure validity and reliability between items. In order to analyze the relationship between exercise addiction and leisure satisfaction in the health promotion behavior of Chinese male bodybuilding participants, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed to derive the following research results. First, health promotion behaviors (eating habits, exercise, stress management, interpersonal relationships, self-actualization, and health responsibility) were found to have a partial positive (+) effect on exercise addiction. Second, health promotion behaviors (eating habits, exercise, stress management, interpersonal relationships, self-actualization, health responsibility) were found to have a partial positive (+) effect on leisure satisfaction. In addition, the limitations existing in this study and suggestions for follow-up studies are presented as follows. First, since this study selects Chinese men living in northern China as bodybuilding participants, it is difficult to disseminate the results of this study nationwide, and it has limitations in showing only the characteristics and personal opinions of the participants. Second, the subject of this study adopts the principle of random selection in the sample selection process, and uncontrollable factors such as the home economy and growth environment may affect the results.

        The experimental investigation of bisphenol A degradation by Fenton process with different types of cyclodextrins

        In this work, the degradation efficiencies of bisphenol A (BPA) by Fenton reaction were comparedsystematically with varying cyclodextrins. The results showed that the removal rate of BPA displays aconsiderable increase by Fenton reaction in presence of b-cyclodextrin (b-CD) and its derivatives. Specifically, 98 2% and 89 2% of BPA was removed with carboxymethyl-b-cyclodextrin (CMCD) andb-CD, respectively. Additionally, to understand the reaction mechanism, the structure activity ofcyclodextrins with substrate and the kinetic of Fenton reaction with cyclodextrins have beeninvestigated. Results showed that the structure activity was the major role for cyclodextrins in thissystem.

        Discovery and validation of PURA as a transcription target of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol: Implications for the treatment of cognitive dysfunction

        Background: 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD), a ginsenoside metabolite, has prominent benefits for thecentral nervous system, especially in improving learning and memory. However, its transcriptionaltargets in brain tissue remain unknown. Methods: In this study, we first used mass spectrometry-based drug affinity responsive target stability(DARTS) to identify the potential proteins of ginsenosides and intersected them with the transcriptionfactor library. Second, the transcription factor PURA was confirmed as a target of PPD by biolayerinterferometry (BLI) and molecular docking. Next, the effect of PPD on the transcriptional levels of targetgenes of PURA in brain tissues was determined by qRT-PCR. Finally, bioinformatics analysis was used toanalyze the potential biological features of these target proteins. Results: The results showed three overlapping transcription factors between the proteomics of DARTSand transcription factor library. BLI analysis further showed that PPD had a higher direct interaction withPURA than parent ginsenosides. Subsequently, BLI kinetic analysis, molecular docking, and mutations inkey amino acids of PURA indicated that PPD specifically bound to PURA. The results of qRT-PCR showedthat PPD could increase the transcription levels of PURA target genes in brain. Finally, bioinformaticsanalysis showed that these target proteins were involved in learning and memory function. Conclusion: The above-mentioned findings indicate that PURA is a transcription target of PPD in brain,and PPD upregulate the transcription levels of target genes related to cognitive dysfunction by bindingPURA, which could provide a chemical and biological basis for the study of treating cognitive impairmentby targeting PURA.

        DEVELOPMENT OF MAGNETICALLY RESPONSIVE Fe3O4@C CORE/SHELL MICROSPHERES AS POTENTIAL VECTORS FOR DRUG-DELIVERY APPLICATIONS

        The Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres were fabricated via a two-step process. Fe3O4 microspheres were firstly prepared, and Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres were subsequently fabricated using glucose as a carbon source by a hydrothermal route, in which the thickness of the carbon coating was about 20 nm. The resulting products were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR). The Nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherms reveal their mesoporous structure and larger BET surface area (62.3 m2g-1). The Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres possess ferromagnetism and high saturation magnetization (39.2 emu ⋅ g-1). Bovine hemoglobin (BHb) was used as a model protein to test the adsorption and desorption properties of the Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres. The capacity for BHb adsorption was more than 71.3 mg/g. According to the values obtained in the MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay the Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres show a low toxicity. Therefore, the prepared Fe3O4@C core/shell microspheres are of great significance for guided site-specific drug delivery.

        Joint Opportunistic Spectrum Access and Optimal Power Allocation Strategies for Full Duplex Single Secondary User MIMO Cognitive Radio Network

        This paper introduces a full duplex single secondary user multiple-input multiple-output (FD-SSU-MIMO) cognitive radio network, where secondary user (SU) opportunistically accesses the authorized spectrum unoccupied by primary user (PU) and transmits data based on FD-MIMO mode. Then we study the network achievable average sum-rate maximization problem under sum transmit power budget constraint at SU communication nodes. In order to solve the trade-off problem between SU`s sensing time and data transmission time based on opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) and the power allocation problem based on FD-MIMO transmit mode, we propose a simple trisection algorithm to obtain the optimal sensing time and apply an alternating optimization (AO) algorithm to tackle the FD-MIMO based network achievable sum-rate maximization problem. Simulation results show that our proposed sensing time optimization and AO-based optimal power allocation strategies obtain a higher achievable average sum-rate than sequential convex approximations for matrix-variable programming (SCAMP)-based power allocation for the FD transmission mode, as well as equal power allocation for the half duplex (HD) transmission mode.

        BRG1 Promotes chromatin remodeling around DNA damage sites

        Chromatin remodeling complexes play important roles in various DNA metabolism processes, including DNA damage repair. BRG1 is the core subunit of the SWI/SNF complex, which plays critical roles in cell cycle regulation, cell development, cell differentiation, and tumorigenesis. In the present study, we report that BRG1 depletion increased the percentage of apoptotic cells in etoposide-treated cells. Moreover, western blotting and immunofluorescence data showed that BRG1 depletion decreased H2AX phosphorylation and caused defective phosphorylated histone H2AX (γH2AX) clearance. Furthermore, we found that in both SW13 and U2OS cells, BRG1 expression could increase the sensitivity of genomic DNA to micrococcal nuclease (MNase) and facilitate chromatin relaxation around DNA damage sites. Thus, the results provide evidence that BRG1 plays an important role in early DNA damage repair by remodeling the chromatin structure near DNA damage sites.

        β-Actin regulates interleukin 6-induced p21 transcription by interacting with the Rpb5 and Rpb7 subunits of RNA polymerase II

        In pre-initiation complexes, RNA helicase A interacts with β-actin and acts as a bridging factor linking nuclear actin with RNA polymerase II (Pol II). In addition, β-actin participates in Pol IIdependent transcription elongation by interacting with the positive transcription elongation factor Cdk9. However, many relationships between β-actin and Pol II remain to be identified. In an interleukin 6 (IL-6)-induced p21 expression model, we demonstrated that β-actin knockdown reduced p21 expression. Immunofluorescence analysis showed that the colocalization of β-actin and Pol II increased significantly in cells treated with IL-6. It is known that the Rpb5, Rpb6 and Rpb7 subunits are located at the surface of the enzyme. We next constructed recombinant pcDNA-HA-Rpb5, pcDNA-HA-Rpb6 and pcDNA-HA-Rpb7 plasmids and expressed the three polymerase II subunits in HepG2 cells. We found that β-actin could be immunoprecipitated with HA-Rpb5 and HA-Rpb7. A Glutathione-S-transferase pull-down assay revealed that β-actin was associated with Rpb5 and Rpb7 in vitro. Furthermore, overexpression of Rpb5 and Rpb7 in cells reduced p21 expression significantly, suggesting that Rpb5 and Rpb7 competitively interact with β-actin. This study shows that β-actin associates with Pol II subunits through direct proteinprotein interactions and provides fundamental insight into Pol II transcriptional regulation.
