      • XRCC1 Arg399Gln Gene Polymorphism and Hepatocellular Carcinoma Risk in the Chinese Han Population: A Meta-analysis

        Purpose: Numerous studies have evaluated the association between XRCC1 Arg399Gln gene polymorphism and hepatocellular carcinoma risk in the Chinese Han population. However, the results have been inconsistent. We therefore here examined whether the XRCC1 Arg399Gln gene polymorphism confers hepatocellular carcinoma risk by conducting a meta-analysis. Methods: PubMed, Google scholar and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched for eligible articles in English and Chinese that were published before April 2012. Results: 6 studies involving 1,246 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and 1,953 controls were included. The association between XRCC1 Arg399Gln gene polymorphism and hepatocellular carcinoma in the Chinese Han population was significant under GG vs AA (OR = 1.48, 95% CI = 1.13 to 1.94). Limiting the analysis to the studies with controls in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, the results were persistent and robust. Conclusions: In the Chinese Han population, the XRCC1 Arg399Gln gene polymorphism is associated with an increased hepatocellular carcinoma risk.

      • Precoding Method Interference Management for Quasi-EVD Channel

        <P>The Cholesky decomposition-block diagonalization (CD-BD) interference alignment (IA) for a multiuser multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) relay system is proposed, which designs precoders for the multiple access channel (MAC) by employing the singular value decomposition (SVD) as well as the mean square error (MSE) detector for the broadcast Hermitian channel (BHC) taken advantage of in our design. Also, in our proposed CD-BD IA algorithm, the relaying function is made use to restructure the quasieigenvalue decomposition (quasi-EVD) equivalent channel. This approach used for the design of BD precoding matrix can significantly reduce the computational complexity and proposed algorithm can address several optimization criteria, which is achieved by designing the precoding matrices in two steps. In the first step, we use Cholesky decomposition to maximize the sum-of-rate (SR) with the minimum mean square error (MMSE) detection. In the next step, we optimize the system BER performance with the overlap of the row spaces spanned by the effective channel matrices of different users. By iterating the closed form of the solution, we are able not only to maximize the achievable sum-of-rate (ASR), but also to minimize the BER performance at a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region.</P>

      • Enhanced beamforming design and sum-rate maximization for two-way multi-relay networks

        <P>In this paper, we investigate an enhanced relay beamforming design for two-way relay networks (TWRN). In order to reduce the computational complexity, we derive a sum of the inverse of the signal-to-noise ratio (SI-SNR) problem equivalent to the objective sum-rate (SR) problem. The SI-SNR problem can be reformulated as a simple optimization problem by using the Cholesky decomposition and Cauchy-Schwarz inequality, and solved by the interior-point method. The numerical results show that the proposed SI-SNR method can not only reduce the computational complexity but also have the same SR performance as that of the conventional works.</P>

      • Sum-rate maximization and robust beamforming design for MIMO two-way relay networks with reciprocal and imperfect CSI

        <P>In this paper, we investigate the robust relay beamforming design for a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) two-way relay networks (TWRN) by considering imperfect and reciprocal channel state informations (CSIs). In order to maximize the sum-rate (SR) subject to the individual relay power constraint, we first equivalently convert the objective problem into a sum of the inverse of the signal-to-residual-interference-plus-noise ratio (SI-SRINR) problem. The SI-SRINR problem can be reformulated as a biconvex semi-definite programming (SDP) which employs bounded channel uncertainties as the worst-case model. Then, we convert residual-interference-plus-noise (RIN) and relay power constraints into linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By this way, the objective problem can be tackled by the proposed efficient iterative algorithm. The analysis demonstrates the procedures of the proposed SI-SRINR robust design.</P>

      • 한국 서울과 중국 북경 아파트 평면 공간구성의 비교 분석 연구

        Korea and China have a long history of active communication since they are close geographically and share similar culture. Both Korea and China located in East Asia, use Chinese character and influenced by Confusion. At the same time, after thousand of years corporation and competition, each country developed its own unique culture and living environments. “House” is the physical form of “Home” representing the way people live, behave and their value. In the process of modernization, as the population of people increase rapidly, apartments become the typical home of Chinese and Korean. Used the number of analysis cases are 240(Seoul 120 and BeiJing 120) apartment unit plans in 2000s and 2010s for this study. This paper is going to compare and contrast the interior of apartments and compare the entrance, hall, livingroom, kitchen, diningroom, bedroom, bathroom and enviroment, culture, lifestly in Seoul and Beijing in order to understand better the difference between the two cultures.

      • Anomaly detection of isolating switch based on single shot multibox detector and improved frame differencing

        High-voltage isolating switches play a paramount role in ensuring the safety of power supply systems. However, their exposure to outdoor environmental conditions may cause serious physical defects, which may result in great risk to power supply systems and society. Image processing-based methods have been used for anomaly detection. However, their accuracy is affected by numerous uncertainties due to manually extracted features, which makes the anomaly detection of isolating switches still challenging. In this paper, a vision-based anomaly detection method for isolating switches, which uses the rotational angle of the switch system for more accurate and direct anomaly detection with the help of deep learning (DL) and image processing methods (Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD), improved frame differencing method, and Hough transform), is proposed. The SSD is a deep learning method for object classification and localization. In addition, an improved frame differencing method is introduced for better feature extraction and a hough transform method is adopted for rotational angle calculation. A number of experiments are conducted for anomaly detection of single and multiple switches using video frames. The results of the experiments demonstrate that the SSD outperforms the You-Only-Look-Once network. The effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method have been proven under various conditions, such as different illumination and camera locations using 96 videos from the experiments.

      • 淸代江南市鎭水環境初探 : 以靑浦朱家角鎭爲例

        많은 학자들이 문헌에서 地方行政區劃의 묘사를 明·淸時代의 鎭은 더 이상의 基層行政區劃의 하나가 아니라 자연적으로 형성된 社會地理的인 공간으로 인식하였지만, 기층 관리들의 관할범위에는 주의하지 않았다. 淸代 江南 지역의 市와 鎭은 비록 縣丞·主薄·巡檢 등의 관리들이 있었겠지만, 여러 개의 縣이 分管하거나 여러 區와 圖를 분관하였지, 일일이 대응하는 衙署는 없었다. 縣丞·主薄·巡檢 등 관리들의 관할 범위는 일반적으로 鎭의 범위보다 훨씬 컸다. 이와 같은 시각에서 보면, 鎭도 기층행정구획 중의 하나는 아니었다. 이중에서 水資源 환경은 鎭의 형성에 어느 정도 영향을 끼쳤다. 일반적으로 큰 河川은 통상적으로 鎭의 경계선으로 되었다. 강남지역의 풍부한 수자원 환경은 농업, 교통, 문화 등에 서로 다른 영향을 끼쳤다. 淸代 朱家角鎭은 강남의 유명한 대형 市鎭으로서 澱山湖에 인접해 있는데 유입되는 하천이 많아 농업발전에 그다지 유리하지 않았다. 쉽게 水災와 旱災의 피해를 입었고 식량 생산량도 낮았다. 그러나 水上교통 요충지로서 식량 수송이 가능하여 상업이 번장하였고, 경제 발전 정도가 靑浦縣城에 필적하였다. 이곳은 자연환경이 아름다워 문인과 승려 및 도사가 거주하면서 수자원 환경을 묘사하였다. 그리하여 朱家角鎭은 士人과 僧侶들이 즐겨 거주하는 문화 낙원으로 되었다. Many scholars thought that town was not an official district below county level in Qing dynasty according to the data that describes regionalism. Rather, they took the view that town was a social geography space by self-forming. However, those scholars have not paid attention to the scope of jurisdiction by grassroots official. Some towns were subject to the governing by officials like county magistrate's assistant(縣丞), registrar(主薄) or subdistrict magistrate(巡檢). But the scope of power of these officials has covered far beyond the geographical scope of town. Meanwhile, lots of towns were supervised jointly by different counties(縣) or Qu(區) or Tu(圖). There were actually no corresponding Yamun(衙門) with the towns. Water environment has some effect to shape town. Usually, big rivers constituted the borderlines between towns. In Jiangnan district, luxuriant Water environment impacted agriculture, traffic and culture. For example, Zhujiajiao was a big and famous town in Jiangnan district in Qing Dynasty. It was near Dianshan lake(澱山湖) and had a network of waterways, but it was not advantaged to develop agriculture. There were many natural disasters in Zhujiajiao, and therefore grain yield were not high. Nevertheless, due to its location at important site of water and with carriage to transport food, its prosperous business was comparable to that of the Qingpu County. With the beautiful natural landscape, there are many local elite, monks and Taoists once living there and they have written articles on the water environment. Zhujiajiao town had since become a culture paradise where many local elite like to live.
