Guaranteed Fault-estimation Algorithm Based on Interval Set Inversion Observer Filtering

        Ziyun Wang,Mengdi Zhang,Yuqian Chen,Yan Wang,Zhicheng Ji 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.11

A guaranteed fault-estimation algorithm based on interval set inversion observer filtering is proposed for linear discrete-time systems with unknown but bounded disturbance and noise. The minimal conservative interval observer is designed by minimizing the F-norm of the state error. Vector Boolean operations and dimensional operations are used to develop a new interval set inversion algorithm to further contract the guaranteed interval estimation results of the observer. The computational complexity, memory requirements, and accuracy of the proposed algorithm are also analyzed. Finally, simulation examples are provided to verify the efficiency and practicability of the proposed algorithm.

Stable Degree Analysis for Profile of Networked Evolutionary Games With Disturbances

        Ziyun Wang,Shihua Fu,Jianjun Wang,Ling Yu,Xiaoyu Zhao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2024 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.22 No.7

This paper studies the stable degree for profile of networked evolutionary games (NEGs) with disturbances by the semi-tensor product of matrices. Firstly, the algebraic formulation of an NEG with disturbances is established. Secondly, on the basis of algebraic formulation, some concepts about stable profile with disturbances are proposed, including strong k-degree stable and weak k-degree stable, and the corresponding criteria to detect the stable degree are presented. Thirdly, two algorithms for designing controls are given to make the stable profile achieves strong k-degree stable or weak k-degree stable. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the validity of the results.

Pear pomace alleviated atopic dermatitis in NC/Nga mice and inhibited LPS-induced inflammation in RAW 264.7 macrophages

        You Mikyoung,Wang Ziyun,Kim Hwa-Jin,Lee Young-Hyun,Kim Hyeon-A 한국영양학회 2022 Nutrition Research and Practice Vol.16 No.5

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Poorly regulated inflammation is believed to be the most predominant factor that can result in a wide scope of diseases including atopic dermatitis (AD). Despite many studies on the effect of pear pomace in obesity-related disorders including dysregulated gut microbiota, the protective effect of pear pomace in AD is still unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of pear pomace ethanol extract (PPE) on AD by inhibiting inflammation. MATERIALS/METHODS In the in vivo experiment, 2, 4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) was applied to NC/Nga mice to induce AD-like skin lesions. After the induction, PPE was administered daily by oral gavage for 4 weeks. The clinical severity score, serum IgE levels, spleen weight, histological changes in dorsal skin, and inflammation-related proteins were measured. In the cell study, RAW 264.7 cells were pretreated with PPE before stimulation with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Nitrite oxide (NO) production and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) protein expression were detected. RESULTS Compared to the AD control (AD-C) group, IgE levels were dramatically decreased via PPE treatment. PPE significantly reduced scratching behavior, improved skin symptoms, and decreased ear thickness compared to the AD-C group. In addition, PPE inhibited the DNCB-induced expression of inducible nitrite oxide synthase (iNOS), the receptor for advanced glycation end products, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) 1/2, and NF-κB. PPE inhibited the LPS-induced overproduction of NO and the enhanced expression of iNOS and cyclooxygenase-2. Moreover, the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and NF-κB in RAW 264.7 cells was suppressed by PPE. CONCLUSIONS These results suggest that PPE could be explored as a therapeutic agent to prevent AD.

Red pepper seed water extract suppresses high-fat diet-induced obesity in C57BL/6 mice

        김화진,유미경,Ziyun Wang,이영현,김현아 한국식품과학회 2020 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.29 No.2

In this study, the protective effect of red pepper seed water extract (RPS) against the obesity in high fat diet (HFD)-fed mice was investigated (HFD control group, and HFD group treated with 100 or 200 mg/kg body weight of RPS for 13 weeks). The application of RPS partially reversed the HFD-induced increases in body weight and adipose tissue weight. The patterns of the adipose tissue weights were parallel to the patterns of fat area, as measured in DXA procedure. In the adipose tissue, RPS suppressed the expression of adipogenic transcription factors and adipose marker genes. AMP-activated protein kinase activation was observed in the adipose tissue by RPS treatment. In addition, RPS improved high homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance and hyperlipidemia in HFD fed mice. These findings suggest that RPS can be used as a potential therapeutic substance for reducing body fat and obesity related diseases.

Red Pepper Seed Inhibits Differentiation of 3T3-L1 Cells during the Early Phase of Adipogenesis via the Activation of AMPK

Kim, Hwa-Jin,You, Mi-Kyoung,Wang, Ziyun,Kim, Hyeon-A World Scientific Publishing Company 2018 The American journal of Chinese medicine Vol.46 No.1

<P>Obesity is the main risk factor for metabolic syndromes and there has been an upsurge in demand for effective therapeutic strategies. This study investigated the effect of red pepper seed water extract (RPS) on the process of differentiation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. RPS treatment significantly suppressed cellular lipid accumulation and reduced the expression of adipocytes-associated proteins, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-<TEX>$ \gamma $</TEX> (PPAR-<TEX>$ \gamma $</TEX>), CCAAT/enhancer-binding proteins <TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX> (C/EBP <TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>), sterol regulatory element binding protein-1c (SREBP-1c), as well as fatty acid synthase (FAS), and fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4). The inhibitory effect of RPS on differentiation was mainly through the modulation of the C/EBP <TEX>$ \beta $</TEX> and C/EBP <TEX>$ \delta $</TEX> expression at the early phase of differentiation. Moreover, at the early phase of differentiation, RPS markedly increased the phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Such enhancing effect of RPS was abolished in the presence of compound C. Our results suggest that activation of AMPK at early stage of adipogenesis is involved in the anti-adipogenesis effect of RPS.</P>

Enhanced photocatalytic performance of TiO2 nanowires by substituting noble metal particles with reduced graphene oxide

        Fei Yuchen,Ye Xiaofang,Al-Baldawy Aseel Shaker,Wan Jing,Lan Jinshen,Zhao Jingtian,Wang Ziyun,Qu Shanzhi,Hong Rongdun,Guo Shengshi,Huang Shengli,Li Shuping,Kang Junyong 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.44 No.-

Noble metal particles have been embedded in semiconductors to improve photocatalysis efficiently, but the high cost made this approach difficult to apply widely in industry. Herein titanium dioxide/reduced graphene oxide (TiO2/rGO) nanowires in a core-shell structure were prepared. The physicochemical properties and photocatalytic performance of the specimen were characterized in comparison with TiO2 and TiO2/Pt nanowires. The rGO layer and Pt nanoparticles increased chemical states of the components, reduced bandgap energy of the nanowires, enhanced visible light absorption, improved conductance and capacitance significantly. The methylene blue as catalyzed by TiO2/Pt and TiO2/rGO nanowires was degraded to 7.9% and 8.4% in an hour, but retained 25.7% by the TiO2 nanowires. The properties and function of TiO2/rGO nanowires were close to those of TiO2/Pt nanowires, while the rGO price was much lower than that of Pt, which was of great significance for the photocatalytic application of TiO2 heterojunction materials in industry.
