In this work, a model of a functionally graded (FG) nanotube conveying fluid embedded in an elastic medium is developed based on the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) in conjunction with Euler-Bernoulli beam theory (EBT). The main objective of this research is to investigate the nonlinear vibration and stability analysis of fluid-conveying nanotubes. The governing equations of motion are derived by means of Hamiltonian principle. The analytical expressions of nonlinear frequencies and critical flow velocities for two different types of boundary conditions including pinned-pinned (P-P) and clamped-clamped (C-C) conditions are obtained by employing Galerkin method as well as Hamiltonian Approach (HA). Comparison of the obtained results with the published works show the acceptable accuracy of the current solutions. The effects of the power-law index, the nonlocal and material length scale parameters and the elastic medium on the stability and nonlinear responses of FG nanotubes are thoroughly investigated and discussed.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Cost-effective fabrication of sensors and detection of ultralow concentrations of toxic gases are important concerns for environmental monitoring. In this study, the reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-loaded ZnFe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> nanofibers (ZFO-NFs) were fabricated by facile on-chip electrospinning method and subsequent heat treatment. The multi-porous NFs with single-phase cubic spinel structure and typical spider-net morphology were directly assembled on Pt-interdigitated electrodes. The diameters of the RGO-loaded ZFO-NFs were approximately 50–100 nm with many nanograins. The responses to H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas showed a bell-shaped behaviour with respect to RGO contents and annealing temperatures. The optimal values of the RGO contents and the annealing temperatures were found to be about 1.0 wt% and 600 °C, respectively. The response of the RGO-loaded ZnFe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> NFs to 1 ppm H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas was as high as 147 at 350°C while their cross-gas responses to SO<SUB>2</SUB> (10 ppm), NH<SUB>3</SUB> (100 ppm), H<SUB>2</SUB> (250 ppm), C<SUB>3</SUB>H<SUB>6</SUB>O (1000 ppm), and C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>5</SUB>OH (1000 ppm) were rather low (1.8−5.6). The high sensor response was attributed to formation of a heterojunction between RGO and ZnFe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> and due to the fact that NFs consisted of many nanograins which resulted in multi-porous structure and formation of potential barriers at grain boundaries.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> rGO-loaded ZnFe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> nanofibers have simply prepared by electrospinning. </LI> <LI> rGO-loaded ZnFe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> nanofiber sensors can detect H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas down to ppb level. </LI> <LI> The loading rGO can result in an enhancement of H<SUB>2</SUB>S gas ensing performance. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Hierarchical flower-like V<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> growth on graphene and nickel foam electrodes was fabricated by using chemical vapor deposition and hydrothermal methods for electrochemical capacitors. Taking advantages of the high conductivity of graphene, high capacitance of well-defined V<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> flower-like structure and open framework of three-dimensional nickel foam, the resulting electrodes exhibited rapid electron and ion transport, large electroactive surface area, and excellent structural stability. <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Translocator protein (TSPO) expression is closely related with neuroinflammation and neuronal damage which might cause several central nervous system diseases. Herein, a series of TSPO ligands (<B>11a</B>–<B>c</B> and <B>13a</B>–<B>d</B>) with a 2-phenylpyrazolo[1,5-<I>a</I>]pyrimidin-3-yl acetamide structure were prepared and evaluated via an <I>in vitro</I> binding assay. Most of the novel ligands exhibited a nano-molar affinity for TSPO, which was better than that of DPA-714. Particularly, <B>11a</B> exhibited a subnano-molar TSPO binding affinity with suitable lipophilicity for <I>in vivo</I> brain studies. After radiolabeling with fluorine-18, [<SUP>18</SUP>F]<B>11a</B> was used for a dynamic positron emission tomography (PET) study in a rat LPS-induced neuroinflammation model; the inflammatory lesion was clearly visualized with a superior target-to-background ratio compared to [<SUP>18</SUP>F]DPA-714. An immunohistochemical examination of the dissected brains confirmed that the uptake location of [<SUP>18</SUP>F]<B>11a</B> in the PET study was consistent with a positively activated microglia region. This study proved that [<SUP>18</SUP>F]<B>11a</B> could be employed as a potential PET tracer for detecting neuroinflammation and could give possibility for diagnosis of other diseases, such as cancers related with TSPO expression.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

In this paper, we introduce three subgradient extragradient algorithms for solving pseudomonotone equilibrium problems. The paper originates from the subgradient extragradient algorithm for variational inequalities and the extragradient method for pseudomonotone equilibrium problems in which we have to solve two optimization programs onto feasible set. The main idea of the proposed algorithms is that at every iterative step, we have replaced the second optimization program by that one on a specific half-space which can be performed more easily. The weakly and strongly convergent theorems are established under widely used assumptions for bifunctions.

In this paper, a novel parallel hybrid iterative method is proposed for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a system of equilibrium problems, the set of solutions of variational inequalities for inverse strongly monotone mappings and the set of fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert space. Strong convergence theorem is proved for the sequence generated by the scheme. Finally, a parallel iterative algorithm for two finite families of variational inequalities and nonexpansive mappings is established.

We give a classification of real solvable Lie algebras whose non-trivial coadjoint orbits of corresponding to simply connected Lie groups are all of codimension 2. These Lie algebras belong to a well-known class, called the class of MD-algebras.
