An Eustoma grandiflorum APETALA1 (EgAP1) gene showing high homology to the SQUA subfamily of MADS-box genes was isolated and characterized. EgAP1, containing a conserved euAP1 motif at the C-terminus, showed high sequence identity to Antirrhinum majus SQUAMOSA in the SQUA subfamily. EgAP1 mRNA was detected in the leaf and expressed significantly higher in young flower buds than in mature flower buds. In flowers, EgAP1 mRNA was strongly detected in sepal, weakly detected in petal and was absent in stamen and carpel. Transgenic Arabidopsis plants ectopically expressing EgAP1 flowered early and produced terminal flowers. In addition, the conversion of petals into stamen-like structures was also observed in 35S::EgAP1 flowers. 35S::EgAP1 was able to complement the ap1 flower defects by restoring the defect for sepal formation and significantly increasing second whorl petal production in Arabidopsis ap1 mutant plants. These results revealed that EgAP1 is the APETALA1 homolog in E. grandiflorum and that the function of EgAP1 is involved in floral induction and flower formation.

With the aim of examining the effects of implementing international financial reporting standards (IFRS) on teaching accounting and auditing at universities and colleges in Vietnam, a case study was conducted at 30 universities, colleges, and 208 lecturers in Vietnam. Next, the study employed the structural model analysis method by PLS_SEM software to process and analyze the collected data. The research results show that: (1) There are eight factors that affect how IFRS is applied to teaching, including the training program, (ii) teaching staff, (iii) IFRS application regulations, (iv) related party requirements, (v) faculty/school administrators, (vi) teaching aids, (vii) IFRS teaching methods, and (iii) students; (2) there are three factors that affect the quality of teaching staff, including applying IFRS to teaching at the university and colleges, (ii) Regulations on the application of IFRS, (iii) Requirements from related parties. At the same time, the study also shows that, regarding the indirect relationships, applying IFRS to teaching does not play an intermediary role in these relationships. However, at the 10% significance level, it was found that there is an indirect relationship between regulations on the application of IFRS by the Ministry of Finance and the quality of teaching staff through the variable applying IFRS to teaching.
A Robust Mutual Authentication Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

Authentication is an important service in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for an unattended environment. Recently, Das proposed a hash-based authentication protocol for WSNs, which provides more security against the masquerade, stolen-verifier, replay, and guessing attacks and avoids the threat which comes with having many logged-in users with the same login-id. In this paper, we point out one security weakness of Das’ protocol in mutual authentication for WSN’s preservation between users, gateway-node, and sensor nodes. To remedy the problem, this paper provides a secrecy improvement over Das’ protocol to ensure that a legal user can exercise a WSN in an insecure environment. Furthermore, by presenting the comparisons of security, computation and communication costs, and performances with the related protocols, the proposed protocol is shown to be suitable for higher security WSNs.
Radiation Characteristics of Woven Patch Antennas Composed of Conductive Threads

<P>The radiation characteristics of wearable antennas composed of conductive threads are investigated in this work. Various rectangular patch antennas with different thread diameters and intervals are modeled in a full-wave electromagnetic simulation tool by weaving thin conductors emulating conductive threads, and their resonance frequencies, radiation efficiencies, and radiation patterns are then observed. Interestingly, the radiation efficiency increases with a wider interval between the threads when a thicker conductive thread is used. This contrasts with the common assumption that radiation efficiency increases as more conductive materials are included. These results are also validated by experiments on woven patch antennas fabricated with silver-coated threads.</P>
Secrecy Performance of Energy Harvesting Wireless Networks in the Presence of Multiple Eavesdroppers

This paper investigates the physical layer secrecy performance of radio frequency energy harvesting wireless networks over Rayleigh fading channels. The considered RF-EH system consists of a power transfer station, a source and a destination in the presence of multiple passive eavesdroppers. By using statistical characteristics of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the exact closed-form expressions of existence probability of secrecy capacity is derived. Finally, simulation results are provided to confirm the correctness of our calculation.
A Study of Environmental Management Investment Allocation

The $21^{st}$ century is a new century of environmental protection. Environmental protection is one of the most important subject matters yet to come. Moreover, as the public pays more attention to environmental problems, enterprises should increase their investment in environmental management. Therefore, determining the investment level for environmental management and allocating the investment to associated environmental management activities has become a major task. The principal and agent theory and sales response functions are used for analysis in this research. The allocation of capital investment in environmental management is found to have significant impact on the aggregate sales response, aggregate profit and investment level. Therefore, in preparing the budget for environmental management, enterprises should focus on investment allocation decisions, determine the investment level and allocation method using integrated means, and apply submarket data in the allocation decision-making process. In other words, in setting the investment level, executive management should take managers' willingness into consideration. In allocating capital investment, managers should identify the optimal allocation method based on submarket characteristics.
Research on Risk-Based Piping Inspection Guideline System in the Petrochemical Industry

The purpose of this research is to create an expert risk-based piping system inspection model. The proposed system includes a risk-based piping inspection system and a piping inspection guideline system. The research procedure consists of three parts: the risk-based inspection model, the risk-based piping inspection model, and the piping inspection guideline system model. In this research procedure, a field plant visit is conducted to collect the related domestic information (Taiwan) and foreign standards and regulations for creating a strategic risk-based piping inspection and analysis system in accordance with the piping damage characteristics in the petrochemical industry. In accordance with various piping damage models and damage positions, petrochemical plants provide the optimal piping inspection planning tool for efficient piping risk prediction for enhancing plant operation safety.
