      • 초고층 주상복합아파트의 로비공간 활용에 관한 연구

        도심지 과밀화 현상의 해결책으로 주거, 의료, 상업, 문화시설이 하나의 건물에서 공존하는 초고층 주상복합아파트가 생겨났다. 그러나 90년대 이후 생긴 주상복합아파트는 대형화, 초고층화가 되어감에 따라 커뮤니티 단절, 주거 영역성 결여 등의 문제점들이 나타나게 되었다. 이로 인하여 거주자의 거주성을 높이기 위해 공용공간에 대한 문제가 대두되었으며 그 중 로비공간은 주상복합아파트 내부로의 최초의 진입공간으로서 첫 이미지를 제공하고 집합주거전체에 개성을 부여하는 역할을 하고 있다. 따라서 주상복합아파트의 로비공간은 외부와 내부를 연결시켜 주며 사용자의 원활한 흐름을 제공하는 공간으로 사용자에게 접근성 및 편리성, 심리적 안정감과 친밀감을 주어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주상복합아파트 로비공간을 보다 만족된 공간으로 제공하기 위해서 로비공간의 특성, 거주자의 이용현황과 의식을 분석하여 주상복합아파트 로비공간의 계획방향을 제시하고자 한다. High rise mixed-use apartments, wherein housing, medical, commercial and cultural facilities coexist, have been created as a solution to the overcrowding phenomenon in downtown areas. However, these mixed-use housing apartments that have appeared after the 1990s began showing issues of their own as they got larger and higher, such as rupture from the community and lack of territoriality. Questions hence arose as to the usage of space to increase the habitability of the residents. Among such methods, lobbies represent the first image of the area at the entrance and their main role is to give a certain creativity and uniqueness to these mixed-use apartments. Lobbies, as connectors between the outside and the inside and provider of an amicable flow for the users, should present accessibility, comfort and psychological intimacy. This study thus will analyze the characteristics of lobbies as space and the use of the residents and aims at providing new directions for the usage of lobbies in such apartments, so as to provide a more satisfactory space usage.

      • 아파트 단지의 공공시설물 활용에 대한 의식조사

        아파트에서의 공공디자인은 디자인 이상으로 사회적인 커뮤니티 활동의 연장선상에 있다는 의미를 지니며 지역 주민의 삶의 질에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 하나의 지표역할을 하게 되었다. 특히 아파트 단지 내의 벤치, 휴지통, 가로등과 같은 공공시설물은 거주자의 일상생활뿐 아니라 지역 환경에까지 영향을 미치는 기본계획 요소이다. 현재 대부분의 주택 건설사가 이러한 시설계획에 많은 노력을 하고 있으며 과거의 계획과는 차별화를 시도하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 중요성이 인지되고 있는 것에 비하여 아직까지는 형식적인 설치에 국한되어 있으며 제 기능을 하지 못하는 시설물도 종종 보인다. 올바른 공공시설물의 활용과 계획은 거주민에게 실질적인 삶의 가치를 높여줄 뿐만 아니라 도시전체 이미지에도 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 아파트 단지 내 설치된 공공시설물을 보다 만족된 시설 및 공간으로 제시해주기 위하여 단지 내 공공시설물의 특징을 파악하고 사용자의 이용현황, 만족도 및 필요도를 분석하여 아파트 단지 내 공공시설물의 계획방향을 제시하고자 한다. Public design in the apartment complex has more meaning than just design, and has influence even on community activity. It is a major factor influencing local residents" quality of life positively. Particularly, public facilities such as benches, trash cans, street lights, etc. have important functions as basic planning factors within the complex. At present, most housing constructor companies are making significant efforts in such facility planning, and attempting to differentiate from the past planning. However, in comparison to the degree of perceiving its value, it is limited to rather formality. Even there often are facilities that do not function properly. Proper use and planning of the public facility can not only improve the quality of life but also have positive influence on the image of the entire city. Therefore, this study intends to propose making the public facility in the apartment complex as the more satisfactory facility and space. For this, this study aims to identify the characteristics of the public facility within the apartment complex; analyze residents" usage, satisfaction, and needs of it; and then propose the direction of its planning.

      • 미니멀리즘과 초현실주의 기법을 통한 가구디자인 제안

        본 연구의 목적은 미니멀리즘과 초현실주의에 대한 개념 및 표현방법을 분석하고 가구디자인에 서로 상반되는 기법을 접목함으로써 초현실 미니멀리즘(Surreal Minimalism)이라는 새로운 디자인의 적용 방법과 그 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 이미지의 단계적인 유형화의 과정을 통한 형태도출을 위하여 초현실주의 작가 3명의 작품을 선정하고 작품에서의 초현실주의 표현 요소를 단순화시켜 초현실 미니멀리즘 기법을 적용한 가구디자인을 제안하였으며 소비자들에게 체험의 기회를 제공하는 가능성을 보여줬다는 점에서 큰 의미를 지닌다. 본 연구에서는 초현실주의 작품들을 기초로 하여 미니멀리즘 기법을 적용하도록 디자인 범위를 한정하였으나 앞으로의 연구에서는 여러 요소를 추출하여 다양한 형태의 디자인적 요소가 가구에 적용되고 이것이 여러 공간에 사용할 수 있도록 해야 하며 좀 더 나아가 실제 사용자를 고려할 수 있는 새로운 가구디자인이 이루어지기를 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the principle and expression of minimalism and surrealism and to use two different styles in furniture design to create a new design ‘surreal minimalism.’ It also aims to provide ways to use this new design and to investigate its possibility. The results of this study are as following. I chose works of three surrealism artists to materialize each stage of the image to come up with shapes. By simplifying the expressions of surrealism in each piece of work, I provided ways to apply the surreal minimalism to furniture design. This study is meaningful because it provides opportunities to customers to actually experience the furniture design. This study is based on works of surrealism and applies concept of minimalism in only design. I hope that this concept can be applied to different designs and spaces and become a furniture design that considers the users.

      • Effect of spatial molecular configuration of ZnO/ polyethylenimine hybrid electron injection materials on OLEDs performance

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Solution-processable charge injection materials have gathered considerable attention in the field of organic optoelectronics owing to their ability to enhance device efficiency. Of those candidates, polyethylenimine (PEI) polymers have been widely explored, but their effect on the device physics in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are not completely elucidated yet. In this work, the impact of ZnO:PEI hybrid nanocomposite as an electron injection layer (EIL) of OLEDs on the device performance is investigated. Two different PEIs with the different spatial molecular configuration of the polymer, either linear or branched-type, are employed. Both PEI polymers have the ability to effectively reduce the work-function of ZnO. The ZnO:linear-PEI EIL shows higher device efficiency in comparison to the ZnO:branched-PEI EIL in the charge-balanced OLEDs, whereas the results are opposite in the charge-imbalanced device setup. This is mainly due to the different role required of EIL materials upon different device working mechanisms. This work shows a series of experimental results of the detailed device characteristics using ZnO:PEI hybrid EILs in order to provide a systematic understanding of the device physics by combining two key concepts together; (1) control of the molecular configuration, and (2) charge carrier dynamics.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> We investigate ‘device characteristics’ by using two different types of ZnO:PEI (branched PEI (BPEI) or linear PEI (LPEI)) as an electron injection layer (EIL). </LI> <LI> ZnO:LPEI offers better electron injection ability.       • Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) Derived from Poly(ionic liquid) for the Use as Hole-Injecting Material in Organic Light-Emitting Diodes

        <P>We report that poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) derived from poly(ionic liquid) (PEDOT:PIL) constitutes a unique polymeric hole-injecting material capable of improving device lifetime in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Imidazolium-based poly(ionic liquid)s were engineered to impart non-acidic and non-aqueous properties to PEDOT without compromising any other properties of PEDOT. A fluorescent OLED was fabricated using PEDOT:PIL as a hole-injection layer and subjected to a performance evaluation test. In comparison with a control device using a conventional PEDOT-based material, the device with PEDOT:PIL was found to achieve a significant improvement in terms of device lifetime. This improvement was attributed to a lower indium content in the PEDOT:PIL layer, which can be also interpreted as the effective protection characteristics of PEDOT:PIL for indium extraction from the electrodes.</P><P> <img src='wiley_img/10221336-2009-30-17-MARC200900234-gra001.gif' alt='wiley_img/10221336-2009-30-17-MARC200900234-gra001'> </P> <B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>Conducting polymer-based hole-injecting materials are developed for improving the device lifetime in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).       • Bendable Inorganic Thin-Film Battery for Fully Flexible Electronic Systems

        <P>High-performance flexible power sources have gained attention, as they enable the realization of next-generation bendable, implantable, and wearable electronic systems. Although the rechargeable lithium-ion battery (LIB) has been regarded as a strong candidate for a high-performance flexible energy source, compliant electrodes for bendable LIBs are restricted to only a few materials, and their performance has not been sufficient for them to be applied to flexible consumer electronics including rollable displays. In this paper, we present a flexible thin-film LIB developed using the universal transfer approach, which enables the realization of diverse flexible LIBs regardless of electrode chemistry. Moreover, it can form high-temperature (HT) annealed electrodes on polymer substrates for high-performance LIBs. The bendable LIB is then integrated with a flexible light-emitting diode (LED), which makes an all-in-one flexible electronic system.
