        Heine's Retinoscope is 100% dust proof and incorporates a unique Integrated Polarizing filter which eliminates all internal glare, providing for a clearer, brighter papillary reflex, enhancing performance and ease of examination, As a result of their data basis, we observed and analyzed which instrument has lesser occurring refracting aberration. Contact lens Wearers assuming best visual acuity lead 1.0(20/20) performed over refraction using Retinoscope. Auto Refractor, Auto Refrac-Keratometer and Suresight. The Auto refractor provides highly accurate measurement of patients refraction error. Auto Refrac-Keratometer provides precise and efficient refraction and Keratometry measurements and suggests contact lens base curve values. The automatic calculation of residual astigmatism assists in fitting RGP lenses. Also, suresight is a most convenient instrument for refraction. 30 contact lens wearers are chosen regardless of age, sex, and job. At least 30 minute after placing contact lens in each subjects eye, Performing over refraction by use of Retinoscope, Auto refractor, Auto refrac-Keratometer and suresight. Then presenting each results by graph in consist of spherical part, cylinder, axis, left eye and right eye separately.

        Vertex power measurement of spherical/cylinder lens by four point and Hartman-Shack method using digital lensmeter

        Purpose: The test is designed to investigate the differences in measurement method between conventional four point method and Hartman Shack principle applied method in digital lensmeters. Methods: The lenses tested are from the most frequently used manufacturers’ ones in Korea. The lenses are from 3 different brands with spherical power of -5.00D, -10.00D, and -15.00D. Cylinder lenses are sourced with same criteria with cylinder power of C-0.50D, C-1.25D and C-2.00D. Before making the measurement, all the sample were stored in standard saline solution for at least 30 min and maintained at standard temperature. Results: The Hartman-Shack method employed digital lensmeter showed a better accuracy performance in spherical lens value measurement, meanwhile the four points method based lensmeter showed a better performance in cylinder value. For the spherical cylinder combined value lenses, the Hartman-Shack method employed lensmeter performed better than four point method based lensmeter. Conclusions: As per the minus diopter spherical cylinder lenses, the Hartman Shack lensmeter showed better accuracy in spherical values and four point method based lensmeter showed better reading for cylinder values.

        Study on the blue light hazard protection rate of blue light coated lenses

        목 적: 청광차단안경렌즈의 청광차단율을 확인하기 위해 기준이 되는 공인인증 장비와 국산장비를 이용 해 제조사별, 굴절력별 차단율 측정값을 비교, 분석 하였다. 방 법: 청광차단안경렌즈 중 국내 제조업체 2곳, 외국 제조업체 1곳의 렌즈를 대상으로 구면굴절력 0.00 D, -3.00 D, -5.00 D로 분류하여 청광차단율을 측정하였다. 측정 장비는 일본 HITACHI사의 U-4100과 국 내 HUVITZ사의 HLM-9000을 사용하였다. 결 과: U-4100을 사용하여 415nm 파장대의 청광차단안경렌즈 청광차단율을 측정한 결과 D사, C사, N 사 제품의 청광차단율이 0.00 D에서 19.7%, 54.9%, 29.4%로 측정되었고, -3.00 D에서 20.9%, 55.2%, 33.2%로, -5.00 D에서는 28.3%, 73.1%, 36.1%로 각각 측정되었다. 결 론: 청광차단안경렌즈의 청광차단율은 제조사별, 굴절력별 차이가 발생했다. 안경원에서 청광차단안 경렌즈를 판매할 때 청광차단율을 제시하며 시환경에 맞는 적합한 렌즈를 소개한다면 소비자의 안경사에 대 한 신뢰도를 한층 더 높일 것으로 판단된다. Purpose: To know the rate of blue light coated lenses' protection, while comparing and analyzing coming from different manufactures and the spherical diopters with standard measuring devices made by overseas and local market were used. Methods: The blue light coated lenses employed for the test were from 3 different manufacturers; 2 from domestic and 1 from overseas manufacturers with spherical diopter of 0.00 D, -3.00 D and -5.00 D. The measuring devices used were the spectrophotometer, U-4100 from Japan HITACHI and HLM-9000 from Korea HUVITZ company. Results: U-4100 was used for measuring the rate of blue coated lenses' protection which was in wavelength 415nm. The result showed based on the manufacturers like as D company, C company and N company and following result of the rate of blue coated lenses were 19,7%, 54.9%, and 29.4% at 0.00 D. 20.9%, 55.2%, 33.2% at -3.00 D and 28.3%, 73.1% and 36.1% at -5.00 D. Conclusions: The rate of blue light coated lenses' protection was different depending on the manufactures and diopters. When an optician is selling blue light coated lenses it would be better if he demonstrates the blue light coated lenses' depending on different visual environment. And it will also help for optician to make more credibility with customers.

        수동렌즈미터와 자동렌즈미터를 사용한 안경렌즈의 굴절력 측정 비교 연구

        To draw a conclusion of standardization for measurement of refractive power in a spectacle lens, we measured vertex diopter of the three major manufacturers spectacle lenses, which are being chiefly used in South korea, by a telescopic manual lensmeter and a digital automatic lensmeter for comparison from both. The method classifying the lens by different refractive power for each S-5.00D, S-10.00D and S-15.00D to analyze reliability of the results from the measurement, show that a manual lensmeter has more accurate than a digital lensmeter in case of measurement of the minus diopter spherical lenses.
