It’s crucial to develop cost-effective, rapid & reliable detection methods of specific analytes through sensorsuseful in the analytical and medicinal chemistry. We report a highly sensitive and selective colorimetricmethod for the detection of clonazepam by the new composite sensor DH-1,6-NAPY-8-CNAgNPscontaining 5-amino-7-(4-benzylpiperazin-1-yl)-2,4-bis(4-bromophenyl)-2-methyl-1,3-dihydro-1,6-naphthyridine-8-carbonitrile capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The detection mechanism is basedon the H-bonding interactions between clonazepam and the sensor, that caused the aggregation of NPsthat initiated a sharp color change from yellow to red. The linear relationship between the adjacentabsorbance values (DA) vs. clonazepam concentration (range = 0.05–75 lM) showed a correlation coefficientof 0.9927. The limit of detection (LOD) was 3 nM, that is very significant achievement over theexisting reports. The proposed sensor is highly selective, with no interference from many other possibleinterfering substances. The sensor was successfully applied to the aqueous and human plasma samples, therefore DH-1,6-NAPY-8-CN-AgNPs demonstrated great potential for the on-site and real-time screeningof Clonazepam.

신완선,( Shujaat Ali ),이용석,한정환,송호준 한국품질경영학회 2019 한국품질경영학회 학술대회 Vol.2019 No.-

An Application Study of Open Quality Concept with Blockchain System
( Andita Meilyana ),( Hojun Song ),( Ali Shujaat ),( Wan Seon Shin ) 한국품질경영학회 2020 한국품질경영학회 학술대회 Vol.2020 No.-
The importance of Open Quality Concept is to assist the organizations or companies in measuring, tracking, and connecting (MTC) quality factors so that the level of quality can be accounted for transparently. Through blockchain technology, previous research has established an Open Quality Blockchain System that connects integrated processes to monitor the level of quality of products or services to meet customer needs. In order to demonstrate the system, this paper presents an application of the open quality concept by applying a blockchain system to the small research lab. By adopting the concept of Quality Scorecard (QSC), we attained the quality aspects as performance measures. Then, the measurement and analysis processes are sustainably done to provide improvement evaluation which is monitored in real-time. We continually updated the data to synchronize with the latest conditions. Thus, this study contributed to the application of open quality concept and contextualize blockchain system to encourage quality responsibility in the era of industry 4.0.

Ayaz, Irem,Shaheen, Eman,Aly, Medhat,Shujaat, Sohaib,Gallo, Giulia,Coucke, Wim,Politis, Constantinus,Jacobs, Reinhilde Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology 2020 Imaging Science in Dentistry Vol.50 No.1
Purpose: This study was conducted to objectively and subjectively compare the accuracy and reliability of 2-dimensional(2D) photography and 3-dimensional(3D) soft tissue imaging. Materials and Methods: Facial images of 50 volunteers(25 males, 25 females) were captured with a Nikon D800 2D camera (Nikon Corporation, Tokyo, Japan), 3D stereophotogrammetry (SPG), and laser scanning (LS). All subjects were imaged in a relaxed, closed-mouth position with a normal smile. The 2D images were then exported to Mirror® Software (Canfield Scientific, Inc, NJ, USA) and the 3D images into Proplan CMF® software (version 2.1, Materialise HQ, Leuven, Belgium) for further evaluation. For an objective evaluation, 2 observers identified soft tissue landmarks and performed linear measurements on subjects' faces (direct measurements) and both linear and angular measurements on all images(indirect measurements). For a qualitative analysis, 10 dental observers and an expert in facial imaging (subjective gold standard) completed a questionnaire regarding facial characteristics. The reliability of the quantitative data was evaluated using intraclass correlation coefficients, whereas the Fleiss kappa was calculated for qualitative data. Results: Linear and angular measurements carried out on 2D and 3D images showed excellent inter-observer and intra-observer reliability. The 2D photographs displayed the highest combined total error for linear measurements. SPG performed better than LS, with borderline significance (P=0.052). The qualitative assessment showed no significant differences among the 2D and 3D imaging modalities. Conclusion: SPG was found to a reliable and accurate tool for the morphological evaluation of soft tissue in comparison to 2D imaging and laser scanning.

Sahibzada Fahim Ullah,Nasir Mehmood Khan,Farman Ali,Shujaat Ahmad,Zia Ullah Khan,Noor Rehman,Abdul Khaliq Jan,Nawshad Muhammad 한국식품과학회 2019 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.28 No.5
In this study, the Maillard reaction (MR) ofglucose was applied to improve the physicochemical andfunctional properties of walnut protein isolate (WNPI). TheMR products (MRPs) were prepared with glucose at 0 h(MRP0), 1 h (MRP1), 2 h (MRP2) and 3 h (MRP3) heatingat 95 C. The Infra-Red spectrum showed reduction ofamide and S–H functionalities in MRPs with completeintermixing of glucose in MRP3. Scanning electronmicroscopy indicated changes in the morphology of MRP3which also exhibited promising antioxidant effect. Significantdecrease (P\0.05) in hydrophobicity values (Ho)and increase (P\0.05) in emulsifying activity/emulsifyingstability indexes values were observed for MRPs. Uniform droplet distribution was observed in microscopyof emulsions while an increase in the interfacial proteinconcentration (U) was obtained for MRPs. These resultssuggest that MR is useful in improving the utilization ofthis protein in food product development.
