        Vegetable consumption is associated with health benefits. Recently, the interest in these food groups has grown among due to the identification of new compound in their chemical composition. Most of the vegetables are cooked by blanching, boiling, steaming, microwaving before consumed. These cooking processes may change not only food physical characteristics but also chemical composition. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of different cooking methods on phytochemical content and antioxidant capacity in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem. The result of study, Total polyphenol of phytochemical in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem was 6.88-12.65 mg GAE/100 g and flavonoid was 3.16-10.46 mg CE/100 g. Compared with the raw of Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem, all cooking methods were found to significant correlations between the antioxidant activity assessed by ABTS, DPPH and polyphenol(p<0.05). These results can be provide the basic data how to prevent lose of nutrition in Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam stem when cooking.

        Lossless Compression of Color Filter Array Images by Hierarchical Prediction and Context Modeling

        <P>This paper presents an encoder for the lossless compression of color filter array (CFA) data, which consists of a hierarchical predictor and context-adaptive arithmetic encoder. In hierarchical prediction, the subsampled images are encoded in order; each of the subimages contains only one color component (red, green, or blue) in the case of a Bayer CFA image. By subsampling, the green pixels are separated into two sets, one of which is encoded by a conventional grayscale encoder, and then is used to predict the green pixels in the other set. Both the sets of greens are then used to predict the reds, and the green and red pixels are used to predict the blues. Throughout this process, the predictors are designed considering the direction of the edges in the neighborhood. By gathering some information from the prediction process, such as edge activity and neighboring errors, the magnitude of prediction error is also estimated. From this, the probability distribution function of prediction error conditioned on neighboring pixels, i.e., the context is estimated, and context-adaptive arithmetic encoding is applied to reduce the resulting bits further. The experimental results on real and simulated CFA images show that the proposed method produces less bits per pixel than the conventional lossless image compression methods and recently developed lossless CFA compression algorithms.</P>

      • Hierarchical Prediction and Context Adaptive Coding for Lossless Color Image Compression

        <P>This paper presents a new lossless color image compression algorithm, based on the hierarchical prediction and context-adaptive arithmetic coding. For the lossless compression of an RGB image, it is first decorrelated by a reversible color transform and then Y component is encoded by a conventional lossless grayscale image compression method. For encoding the chrominance images, we develop a hierarchical scheme that enables the use of upper, left, and lower pixels for the pixel prediction, whereas the conventional raster scan prediction methods use upper and left pixels. An appropriate context model for the prediction error is also defined and the arithmetic coding is applied to the error signal corresponding to each context. For several sets of images, it is shown that the proposed method further reduces the bit rates compared with JPEG2000 and JPEG-XR.</P>

        The Effects of E-sports Broadcasting Commentator's Attributes on Broadcasting Attitude and Continuous Viewing Intention

        The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of broadcasters' broadcasting commentators' attributes on broadcasting conditions and the intention of continuous viewing of e-sports competitions. To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted on 300 university students who had experience watching e-sports competition broadcasting. The final 295 copies were selected as the final valid samples and data processing was carried out. Using SPSS 23, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and simple and multiple regression analysis were performed. The result of this study was: First, reliability and attractiveness among the sub-factors of commentator attributes were shown to have a positive effect on broadcasting conditions. Second, reliability and attractiveness among the sub-factors of commentator attributes have a positive effect on the intent of continuous viewing. Third, broadcasting conditions have a positive effect on the intention of continuous viewing.

        A Case Study on Hospital Interior Colour Design Reflecting Feng Shui

        ‘풍수’는 에너지의 자연적인 흐름과 조화와 균형으로 우리 주변에 긍정적인 에너지를 강화하고 치유를 돕기 위한 실제적인 방법을 제공한다. 이에 따라 풍수를 이용한 병원 인테리어 컬러 디자인을 제안할 수 있다. 최근 공간 디자인은 인간의 삶과 질 향상에 상당한 영향력을 가지고 있는 것으로 평가받고 있다. 그래서 병원에 색채 디자인을 통해 첨단 기술 환경에 치유의 환경을 제공한다. 병원에 다양한 색상을 사용하는 특별하게 주목받고 있다. 더 이상 화이트 색상은 병원에 사용되지 않는다. 본 연구는 풍수를 사용하여 병원의 인테리어 색채 디자인을 계획하는 방법 중 하나를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법으로는 2009년에 환자의 건강과 심리적 상태를 개선하기 위한 컬러 디자인을 계획하여 건설된 서울 성모병원을 한 예로, 풍수이론을 통해 색상 디자인을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 서울 성모병원의 색상 디자인은 풍수이론에 관련이 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며 본 연구로 풍수를 이용한 미래의 병원 인테리어 색채 디자인 사용 가능성을 설명 할 수 있다. "Feng Shui" is the harmony and balance with the natural flow of the forced energy. Feng Shui provides practical methods to strengthen the positive energy in our surroundings and to help healing. Therefore, Feng Shui can support the colour design for hospital interior. Recently, the space design tends to emphasize the humanity and quality of life, so a hospital serves as the functional environment for healing in the high technology through colour design. It is special interest that the various colours are used for hospital interior design. so white colour is no more used for hospital. The purpose of this study is to suggest one of method to plan colour design for hospital interior using Feng Shui. The example chosen for this study is Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital which was constructed in 2009. Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital planned the colour design for improving health and psychological status of patients. The colour design of this hospital has been analysed through Feng Shui theory. As a result, this study confirms that the colour design of Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital was related to Feng Shui theory. This study can explain the possibility of using Feng Shui as the theory for hospital interior colour design in the future.

      • Leucine Zipper-Mediated Homodimerization of the Pak Kinase Interacting Factor, βPix : Implication for a role in cytoskeletal reorganization

        Pix, a Pak-interacting exchange factor is known to be involved in the regulation of Cdc42/Rac GTPases. The 85-kDa βPix-a protein contains a SH3 domain, the tandem DH and PH domain, a proline-rich region and a GIT1-binding domain. In addition to those domains, βPix-a also contains a putative leucine zipper domain at the carboxyl terminal end. In this study, we demonstrate that the previously identified putative leucine zipper domain mediates the formation of βPix-a homodimers. Using in vitro and in vivo methodologies, we show that deletion of the leucine zipper domain is sufficient to abolish βPix-a homodimerization. In NIH3T3 fibroblast cells, expression of wild type βPix-a induces the formation of membrane ruffles. However, cells expressing the leucine zipper domain-deletion mutant could not form membrane ruffle structures. Moreover, PDGF-mediated cytoskeletal changes were completely blocked by the leucine zipper domain-deletion mutant. The results suggest that the leucine zipper domain enables βPix-a to homodimerize, and homodimerization is essential for βPix-a signaling functions leading to the cytoskeletal reorganization.
