대구 시내 전역에 산재해 있는 튀김 음식점과 스넥코너등에서 튀김중인 기름에 대한 변패도를 알아 보기 위해 여름철과 겨울철 두 계절에 또 튀김물의 종류별로 시료 186개를 채취하여 산가, 과산화물가, carbonyl가 및 TBA가를 측정한 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 산가, 과산화물가, carbonyl가 및 TBA가는 각각 2.2, 47, 19, 0.7로 나타났다. 2. 여름철로가 겨울철을 비교해 본 결과는 산가, 과산화물가, carbonyl가는 여름철이 높았으나 TBA가는 두 계절이 비슷하였다. 3. 튀김물의 종류에 따른 기름의 변패도는 오뎅, 핫도그, 닭, 야채, 도나스 순으로 나타났다. In order to investigate the degree of changes in quality of frying oils to be used atsnack corners and street stalls in Taegu area. acid value (AV), peroxide value(POV), carbonyl value (COV), and TBA value were measured. 95 samples insummer and 91 samples in winter were collected from oils fried for fish cake, hotdogs,chicken, vegetable and doughnuts. The mean value of AV, POV and COV on the fryingoils collected in summer were higher than those in winter, while TBA value of oilsin summer ·was similar to that in winter. According to the kinds of fried food, thedegree of the change in quality of frying oil was high in order of fish cake, hotdog,chicken, vegetable ana doughnut.

Hydrogen explosion can threaten the safety of nuclear power plants as shown in Fukushima accident. When zircaloy (fuel cladding) is oxidized, it generates hydrogen and oxidation speeds up at high temperature. The concept of accident-tolerant-fuel (ATF) aims for enhanced safety response, mitigating oxidation of fuel claddings during accident and chrome coating on zircaloy surface shows promising results in this regard. By forming Cr2O3 (chromia or chrome oxide) layer on the outermost surface when oxidized, it prevents further oxidation inwards. However chrome coatings show some limitations since it forms hydrophobic surface and damages critical heat flux (CHF). Instead, direct coating of chromia layer is proposed in this study. Chromia coating on nichrome wire was done by boiling deposition of chromia nanofluid. Chrome coating with PVD was also prepared for comparison. Pool boiling experiment results show that chromia coated wire’s CHF is approximately twice of bare and chrome coated wires. For explanation of CHF enhancement, contact angle was compared showing chromia coating has hydrophilic surface. To ensure that direct coating of chromia has oxidation resistance, samples are oxidized in furnace and weight gain was compared.

In the literatural study on the Bi-Suk, the following result were obtained. 1. The main component of Bi-Suk is As₂O₃. As sublimated in high temperature, Bi-Suk is purified easily and we call the sublimate Bi-sang. The climate of Bi-Suk is warm or hot, toxicant, and the flavor is bitter, and sour. 2. The Efficancy of Bi-Suk is removing the cold expectoration and slough, treatment malaria. 3. Parmacologically, Bi-Suk has toxic effect to plasma, paralyze or enlarge the capillary, and necrotize the epithelial tissue. Recently Bi-Suk is used to treat tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, dermatopathy. But in the process of treatment it has toxic effect. Bi-Suk is operative in treating cervical cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, rectal cancer, and cystic cancer. 4. The side effect of Bi-Suk is diarrhea, hematuria, dizziness, headache, syncope, coma, tremor, weakness, and somtimes lethal. To detoxicate the arseniasis we can apply cold water or Gam-Cho(甘草) water and spur at Dae-Jand-Soo(大腸兪), So-Jang-Soo(小腸兪), Chun-Choo(天樞), Ki-Hae(氣海), Kwan-Won(關元), Jok-Sam-Li(足三里), and irrigate stomach, and apply fluid. 5. To eliminate Bi-Suk we can use some herb that has detoxicating effact such as Gam-Cho(甘草), Nok-Doo(綠豆), and must use fire.
Universal Approach toward Hysteresis-Free Perovskite Solar Cell via Defect Engineering

<P>Organic–inorganic halide perovskite is believed to be a potential candidate for high efficiency solar cells because power conversion efficiency (PCE) was certified to be more than 22%. Nevertheless, mismatch of PCE due to current density (<I>J</I>)–voltage (<I>V</I>) hysteresis in perovskite solar cells is an obstacle to overcome. There has been much lively debate on the origin of <I>J</I>–<I>V</I> hysteresis; however, effective methodology to solve the hysteric problem has not been developed. Here we report a universal approach for hysteresis-free perovskite solar cells via defect engineering. A severe hysteresis observed from the normal mesoscopic structure employing TiO<SUB>2</SUB> and spiro-MeOTAD is almost removed or does not exist upon doping the pure perovskites, CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> and HC(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB>, and the mixed cation/anion perovskites, FA<SUB>0.85</SUB>MA<SUB>0.15</SUB>PbI<SUB>2.55</SUB>Br<SUB>0.45</SUB> and FA<SUB>0.85</SUB>MA<SUB>0.1</SUB>Cs<SUB>0.05</SUB>PbI<SUB>2.7</SUB>Br<SUB>0.3</SUB>, with potassium iodide. Substantial reductions in low-frequency capacitance and bulk trap density are measured from the KI-doped perovskite, which is indicative of trap-hysteresis correlation. A series of experiments with alkali metal iodides of LiI, NaI, KI, RbI and CsI reveals that potassium ion is the right element for hysteresis-free perovskite. Theoretical studies suggest that the atomistic origin of the hysteresis of perovskite solar cells is not the migration of iodide vacancy but results from the formation of iodide Frenkel defect. Potassium ion is able to prevent the formation of Frenkel defect since K<SUP>+</SUP> energetically prefers the interstitial site. A complete removal of hysteresis is more pronounced at mixed perovskite system as compared to pure perovskites, which is explained by lower formation energy of K interstitial (−0.65 V for CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> vs −1.17 V for mixed perovskite). Evidence-Based Practice Guideline for Surgical Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease 2018

The prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is increasing in Korea, and physicians, including surgeons, have been focusing on its treatment. Indeed, in Korea, medical treatment using a proton pump inhibitor is the mainstream treatment for GERD, while awareness of surgical treatment is limited. Accordingly, to promote the understanding of surgical treatment for GERD, the Korean Anti-Reflux Surgery Study Group published the Evidence-Based Practice Guideline for the Surgical Treatment of GERD. The guideline consists of 2 sections: fundamental information such as the definition, symptoms, and diagnostic tools of GERD and a recommendation statement about its surgical treatment. The recommendations presented 5 debates regarding fundoplication: 1) comparison of the effectiveness of medical and surgical treatments, 2) effectiveness of surgical treatment in cases of refractory GERD, 3) effectiveness of surgical treatment of extraesophageal symptoms, 4) comparison of effectiveness between total and partial fundoplication, and 5) effectiveness of fundoplication in cases of hiatal hernia. The present guideline is the first to demonstrate the efficacy of the surgical treatment GERD in Korea.

Genetic information such as DNA sequences has been limited to fully explain mechanisms of gene regulation and disease process. Epigenetic mechanisms, which include DNA methylation, histone modification and non-coding RNAs, can regulate gene expression and affect progression of disease. Although studies focused on epigenetics are being actively investigated in the field of medicine and biology, epigenetics in dental research is at the early stages. However, studies on epigenetics in dentistry deserve attention because epigenetic mechanisms play important roles in gene expression during tooth development and may affect oral diseases. In addition, understanding of epigenetic alteration is important for developing new therapeutic methods. This review article aims to outline the general features of epigenetic mechanisms and describe its future implications in the field of dentistry.

Background Nilotinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for frontline and 2nd line treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML). This study aimed to confirm the safety and efficacy of nilotinib in routine clinical practice within South Korea. Methods An open-label, multicenter, single-arm, 12-week observational post-marketing surveillance (PMS) study was conducted on 669 Korean adult patients with Ph+ CML from December 24, 2010, to December 23, 2016. The patients received nilotinib treatment in routine clinical practice settings. Safety was evaluated by all types of adverse events (AEs) during the study period, and efficacy was evaluated by the complete hematological response (CHR) and cytogenetic response. Results During the study period, AEs occurred in 61.3% (410 patients, 973 events), adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in 40.5% (271/669 patients, 559 events), serious AEs in 4.5% (30 patients, 37 events), and serious ADRs in 0.7% (5 patients, 8 events). Furthermore, unexpected AEs occurred at a rate of 6.9% (46 patients, 55 events) and unexpected ADRs at 1.2% (8 patients, 8 events). As for the efficacy results, CHR was achieved in 89.5% (442/494 patients), and minor cytogenetic response or major cytogenetic response was achieved in 85.8% (139/162 patients). Conclusion This PMS study shows consistent results in terms of safety and efficacy compared with previous studies. Nilotinib was well tolerated and efficacious in adult Korean patients with Ph+ CML in routine clinical practice settings.
