This study investigated the gas tungsten arc (GTA) weldability of a base metal (BM) Fe60Co15Ni15Cr10medium-entropyalloy (MEA) by applying CoCrFeMnNi and CrFeMnNiCu fillers. Sound welds without macro defects, such as internal poresor cracks, were obtained. The CoCrFeMnNi-based weld consisted of a face-centered cubic (FCC) structure, whereas theCrFeMnNiCu-based weld comprised (Co, Cr, Fe)-rich phase of FCC1 and a Cu-rich phase of FCC2 with the same FCC structureformed by phase separation. In the CrFeMnNiCu-based weld with a Cu-rich phase, the weld metal (WM) was strongerthan that in the CoCrFeMnNi-based weld. The tensile fracture of all specimens occurred in the coarse-grained heat-affectedzone (CGHAZ) at 298 K, while the tensile properties of the CrFeMnNiCu-based weld were improved compared to thoseof the CoCrFeMnNi-based weld, probably because the Cu-rich phase present in WM blocks the movement of dislocations. The WM of all tensile specimens at 77 K exhibited deformation twins, and deformation-induced martensitic transformationoccurred in the BM and CGHAZ, showing improved strength and ductility compared to those at 298 K.
A case of generalized lentiginosis

Generalized lentiginosis is characterized by the presence brownish macules scattered over the entire body. It may or may not be inherited. As generalized lentiginosis may be viewed as a clinical marker for possible systemic abnormalities including cardiologic, auditory and genitourinary abnormalities, patients should be thoroughly evaluated at their first presentation and also subsequently at regular intervals. A 53-year-old female presented with brownish hyperpigmented linearly arranged macules on the extremities, neck, and inguinal area. The pigmented lesions were arranged in multiple Blaschko’s lines on the both sides of the foot, and also were arranged in patchy pattern on the right side of the neck and left inguinal area. The lesions first started on the both dorsa of the foot when she was young. Biopsy specimen from hyperpigmented macule showed hyperkeratosis, elongated rete ridges, increased melanocytes in the basal layer, and change in the dermis or collagen bundle were not to seen. We herein report a rare case of generalized lentiginosis without any systemic abnormality.

<P>A particle-based photocatalyst with a permanent internal field prepared by a corona poling method is presented as a novel approach to enhance the hydrogen evolution reaction in a particulate-suspension system. <P>A new self-immolative linker motif, Ortho Hydroxy-Protected Aryl Sulfate (OHPAS), was devised, and OHPAS-containing antibody drug conjugates (ADC) were tested in vitro and in vivo. Conveniently synthesized using Sulfur Fluorine Exchange (SuFEx) chemistry, it is based structurally on diaryl sulfate, with one aryl acting as a payload and the other as a self-immolative sulfate unit having a latent phenol function at the ortho position. The chemically stable OHPAS linker was stable in plasma samples from 5 different species, yet it can release the payload molecule smoothly upon chemical or biological triggering. The payload release proceeds via intramolecular cyclization, producing a cyclic sulfate coproduct that eventually hydrolyzes to a catechol monosulfate. A set of OHPAS-containing ADCs based on Trastuzumab were prepared with a drug to antibody ratio of ∼2, and were shown to be cytotoxic in 5 different cancer cell lines in vitro and dose-dependently inhibited tumor growth in a NCI-N87 mouse xenograft model. We conclude that OHPAS conjugates will be of considerable use for delivering phenol-containing payloads to tissues targeted for medical intervention.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

The deceleration in competitiveness of the manufacturing industry that used to drive the Korean economy in the past has not only led to an overall crisis of the manufacturing industry but has also increased to the point where it is a threat on a national level. Therefore, the small and large manufacturing corporations within the industry have been grappling to find measures to secure manufacturing competitiveness. Meanwhile, corporations have been displaying trends of trying to strengthen corporate manufacturing competitiveness through introducing the smart factory operations as an effort to secure manufacturing competitiveness in the recent times. Such strategitc ventures of the corporate manufacturing industry is also a positive result for the excellence of smart factory operations. Hence, there are many researches related to smart factory, including in the fields of engineering and humanities and social science, which are being actively conducted. Based on this background, this study was performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the superiority of smart factory operations of manufacturing corporations. As for the scope of study, the study was conducted on subjects of manufacturing corporations in the steel industry and it was was attempted to analyze the influencing relationship between the initial operation forms of corporate smart factories on the quality stabilization of corporations. For the purpose of this study, programs SPSS18 and AMOS21 were utilized and the structural equation model was applied for the analysis. As a result of the study, the influencing relationship between the initial operation factor of smart factories and corporate quality stabilization was partially adopted.
