( Myong Cheol Lim ),( Jeong Seon Lee ),( Jung Nam Joo ),( Sang Soo Seo ),( Sok Bom Kang ),( Sang Yoon Park ) 대한산부인과학회 2012 대한산부인과학회 학술대회 Vol.99 No.-
The objective of this study was to investigate clinical manifestations of lower extremity edema (LEE) in endometrial cancer Medical records for LEE and/or responses to the Gynecologic Cancer Lymphedema Questionnaire (GCLQ) were evaluated in 177 patients with endometrial cancer Patients had a median age of 53 years. Sixty-seven patients (37.9%) had past (9 patients, 13.4%) and/or current patient-reported LEE (58 patients, 86.6%). Symptoms reported on the GCLQ in over 20% of respondents were swelling, numbness, aching , and heaviness. GCLQ total symptoms score was significantly higher in patients with current LEE. Most of the LEE (43/67, 64.2%) developed within 12 months after surgery and LEE lasted more than 6 months in most patients (56/59, 94.9%) Prospective clinical trials are needed to know the clinical significance, impact on quality of life, and preventive strategy of LEE in patients with endometrial cancer

A Conversation with Minjung Messiah and Derrida’s Messianic
Lee Sang Cheol 성공회대학교 신학연구소 2015 Madang: Journal of Contextual Theology Vol.23 No.-
The idea of “minjung messiah” has been the hottest issue in the history of minjung theology because the idea is inharmonious with the doctrine of Christology based on the traditional image of God who is transcendent. The aim of this paper is to enlarge my understanding about minjung messiah. In connection with this issue, I wish to address Derrida’s messianic. In traditional theology, the notion of the messianism is premised on the final judgment at the end of the world in the future. But both Derrida and minjung theology think differently from traditional theology on the matter of the messianic. Namely, for Derrida and minjung theology commitment to the messiancity is the necessary context for understanding of God. God is knowable only by making the truth by changing the world. It means that the messianic is not conceived but entered into the world through a certain praxical engagement. A major concern of them is the relationship between the present situation and the messianic event. This collaboration is intended to promote a legitimate messianic for the new era called as globalization.
Differences between Sand and Gravel Bars of Streams in Patterns of Vegetation Succession
Lee, Chang-Seok,Cho, Yong-Chan,Shin, Hyun-Cheol,Park, Sung-Ae The Ecological Society of Korea 2009 Journal of Ecology and Environment Vol.32 No.1
We analyzed the factors driving succession and the structure, and dynamics of vegetation on sand and gravel bars in order to clarify the differences in vegetation succession in rivers with different river bed substrates. Woody plant communities (dominated by Salix), perennial herb communities (dominated by Miscanthus), and annual plant communities (dominated by Persicaria) appeared in that order from upstream to downstream on the sandbar. The results of DCA ordination based on vegetation data reflected a successional trend. This result suggests that sandbars grow in a downstream direction. Various vegetation types different in successional stage, such as grassland, young stands of Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora), two-layered stands of young and mature pines, and mature pine stands also occurred on gravel bars, but the vegetation in earlier successional stage was established upstream, which is the opposite to the direction found on sandbars. Those results demonstrate that the dynamics of the bed load itself could be a factor affecting vegetation succession in rivers. In fact, sands suspended by running water were transported downstream over the vegetated area of sand bar and thereby created new areas of sandbar on the downstream end of the sandbar. Meanwhile, gravel, which is heavy and thereby is shifted by strong water currents, accumulated on the upstream end of the vegetated area, and thus created new areas of gravel bar in that direction. These results showed that allogenic processes drive vegetation succession on sand and gravel bars in streams and rivers.
Implementation of a Reactive Semantics for an Industrial Manipulator using OPRoS
Sang-Hoon Ji,Jae-Sung Han,Eun-Cheol Shin,Sang-Moo Lee,Byung-Wook Choi 제어로봇시스템학회 2011 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2011 No.10
A Robot in factories has to execute its mission robustly in coarse environments and handle many types of events in dynamic real world. The former is related to dependability or real-time characteristics and the latter is related to reactivity or feasibility. But it is very difficult to prepare robot SW with reactivity and dependability at the same time for the industrial manipulators because general SW with feasibility fails to meet real-time requirements. Therefore, we suggest a method how to make industrial robot software have reactive semantics. For this aim, we use OPRoS (Open software Platform for Robotic Services) and application centric language interpreter. In this framework, state machine component connected abstracted sensor model components invoke signal to an interpreter component in order handle various external operation conditions. And the interpreter determines which robot behaviors will executed for the signals and make suitable robot behavior components work. Finally, we implement our robot software on mulit-core system in order to meet real-time needs including low-latency and strict period time.

Effect of heat treatment of carbon nanofibers (CNF) on electrical properties and crystallization behavior of polypropylene was reported. Two types of CNFs (untreated and heat treated at 2300 $^{\circ}C$) were incorporated into polypropylene (PP) using intensive mixing. A significant drop in volume resistivity was observed with composites containing untreated 5 wt % and heat treated 3 wt % CNF. In non-isothermal crystallization studies, both untreated and heat treated CNFs acted as nucleating agents. Composites with heat treated CNFs showed a higher crystallization temperature than composites with untreated CNFs did. TEM results of CNF revealed that an irregular structure of CNFs can be converted into the continuous graphitic structure after heat treatment. Furthermore, STM showed that the higher carbonization temperature leads to the higher graphite degree which presents the larger carbon network size, suggesting that a more graphitic structure of CNFs led to a higher crystallization temperature of PP.

<P>Asymmetric Schottky contact thin-film-transistors (ASC-TFTs) with an amorphous- In2Ga2ZnO7 channel were fabricated, and their operation characteristics were examined. Ti, Ni, and Pt were evaluated as source/drain metal, and the variations in the device performance were analyzed in terms of energy level and bias polarity, which were carefully simulated to understand the influence of the contact properties on the device performance. The contact nature largely influenced the distribution of potential under the given gate and drain biases, as well as the accompanying carrier accumulation layer and current path formation. Schottky-type contact induced conduction path formation even on the back surface of the channel when drain voltage was high even with sufficiently high gate bias being applied. Based on these results, by applying different metal for each source and drain metal, ASC-TFTs integrating TFTs and Schottky diodes were fabricated, which showed a rectification ratio of drain current higher than 108 according to the bias direction. In addition, the transfer and output characteristics of ASC-TFTs were evaluated for various operation regimes, and the roles of the Schottky junction in device operation were studied in detail.</P>
