Objective: To investigate muscle strength after short term isotonic and isometric exercise. Method: Twenty two healthy men and women were randomly designed isometric and isotonic exercises. Each participant was asked to perform 10 sessions of isometric and isotonic exercises. The assessment measured pre and post 10 sessions exercises by Cybex 340. Result: Isometric exercise significantly increased by $60^{\circ}$/sec and isotonic exercise significantly increased by $120^{\circ}$/sec, $180^{\circ}$/sec. Isometric exercise and isotonic exercise increased by all speeds. Most increased at $120^{\circ}$/sec, $180^{\circ}$/sec by isometric exercise and $60^{\circ}$/see by isotonic exercise but not significantly. Conclusion: Short term isotonic and isometric exercise increase muscle strength. Even if the exercise session is short term, the sessions increase muscle strength.

The relationale for recording mandibular movement is to accurately adjust an articulator. Techniques to record mandibular movement include radiographic interpretation, extraoral tracing, and intraoral recording materials. This study was performed to compare the concylar guidance inclination and Bennett shift(immediate & progressive side shift)obtained by using an electronic pantograph, pantograph and wax interocclusal records in Korean. Ten adults who have normal occlusion and are free of TMJ dysfunction were selected and clutches were constructed. At first Pantronic survey was performed three times by using an kinematic hinge axis according to manufacturer's direction. Next pantographic survey was performed three times and the articulator was adjusted with each pantographic recording. And then maxillary cast was attached to the articulator with pantographic as a face-bow and the mandibular cast was mounted to the articulator with centric relation record. Three protrusive, three left lateral and three right lateral wax interocclusal records were taken on the subjects and the articulator was adjusted with each interocclusal record. Protrusive condylar inclination, lateral condylar inclination, immediate side shift and progressive side shift obtained by using electronic pantograph, pantograph and wax interocclusal record were compared and analized. The results were as follows; 1. The average left and right protrusive and orbiting condylar inclination($33.7^{\circ},\;37.1^{\circ},\;40.6^{\circ},\;43.5^{\circ}$) record with Pantronic was significantly greater than that recorded with other methods. 2. The average left and right protrusive and orbiting condylar inclination($24.8^{\circ},\;27.0^{\circ},\;31.4^{\circ},\;32.4^{\circ}$)recorded with wax interocclusal record was less than that of other methods. 3. The average left and right immediate side shift(0.57mm,0.44mm)recorded with wax interocclusal record was greater than that of other methods and the average left rigtht immmediate side shift(0.30mm,0.41mm)recorded with Pantronic was significantly greater than that recorded with pantograph(0.11mm,0.20mm). 4. The average variance of wax interocclusal was signivicantly higher than that of other methods.
교합 안정장치가 교근 Silent Period에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of occlusal splints on the masseteric silent period and the changes of the masseteric silent period after experimental bruxism with occlusal splints. In nine subjects, anterior occlusal splints were fabricated. The jaw-jerk reflex was induced by tapping over mandibular symphysis area with solenoid driven hammer and electromyogram of left masseter muscle was recorded. In the recorded electromyogram of left masseter muscle the silent period duration was measured. This procedure was done before insertion of anterior occlusal splints, after insertion of anterior occlusal splints, after 30 min experimental bruxism with anterior occlusal splints, and 3hr after removal of anterior occlusal splints. The result were as follows; 1. The mean silent period duration was increased after insertion of occlusal splints compared with the mean silent period duration before insertion of occlusal splints. 2. There was no change of the mean silent period duration after 30 min experimental bruxism with occlusal splints compared with the mean silent period duration after insertion of occlusal splints. 3. 3hr after the removal of occlusal splints, the mean silent period duration showed no difference from the mean silent period duration before insertion of occlusal splints.

This study is concerned with the effect of Cu and B addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of high-strength bainitic steels. Six kinds of steels were fabricated by varying alloying elements and hot-rolling conditions, and their microstructures and tensile and Charpy impact properties were investigated. Their effective grain sizes were also characterized by the electron back-scatter diffraction analysis. The tensile test results indicated that the B- or Cu-containing steels had the higher yield and tensile strengths than the B- or Cu-free steels because their volume fractions of bainitic ferrite and martensite were quite high. The B- or Cu-free steels had the higher upper shelf energy than the B- or Cu-containing steels because of their higher volume fraction of granular bainite. In the steel containing 10 ppm B without Cu, the best combination of high strengths, high upper shelf energy, and low energy transition temperature could be obtained by the decrease in the overall effective grain size due to the presence of bainitic ferrite having smaller effective grain size.
실내 루버형 집광채광시스템의 조명에너지 절감에 대한 연구

The indoor louver type concentrating daylighting system, which is one of the renewable energy systems, can reduce the consumption of lighting energy. But it has few research cases evaluating the lighting energy saving performance. In this study, the LED dimming control system was applied to analyze the indoor environment and lighting energy saving effect for 3 days during the fall. The visual environment performance was compared with KS average indoor illumination range of office and uniformity of BREEAM. The lighting energy saving rate was calculated to be 67% to 87% per hour and 52% to 61% per day, and it varies depending on the external illuminance and time. Afterwards, it will be possible to quantify changes due to changes in outdoor illuminance when increasing statistical data, as well as research on lighting energy saving performance according to the angle of slat and whether automatic control is applied.
