The safety of LPG vessel storage has been simply designed and controled with blast wave barrier structure concept regardless of its quantity or hazardous situation. The limit of regal controls on LPG vessel storage need to be identified in terms of safety buffer distance from LPG explosion. The level of overpressure effect and heat radiation In the safety structure and neighbouring human activity required to be estimated to find the gap between existing controls on such storage. To this content the paper discuss the issues on the approach In the blast wave barrier and safety separation distances.

<P>A Gram-negative strain, PB92(T), which belongs to the family Sphingobacteriaceae, was isolated from soil (Daejeon, Korea). Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain PB92(T) was associated with the genus Pedobacter and was most closely related to the type strains Pedobacter sandarakinus DS-27(T) (97.7 %), Pedobacter roseus CL-GP80(T) (97.5 %) and Pedobacter suwonensis 15-52(T) (97.5 %). The major cellular fatty acid components of strain PB92(T) were C(16 : 1)omega7c (21.4 %), iso-C(15 : 0) (30.8 %), iso-C(17 : 0) 3-OH (9.3 %) and iso-C(15 : 0) 2-OH (11.2 %). The G+C content of the genomic DNA from strain PB92(T) was 41.4 mol%. Analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences, as well as physiological and biochemical tests, indicated that strain PB92(T) could be differentiated genotypically and phenotypically from reference species of the genus Pedobacter. Strain PB92(T) (=KCTC 12511(T)=DSM 19486(T)) is proposed as the type strain of a novel species, Pedobacter agri sp. nov.</P>

<P>Verrucosispora maris AB-18-032 is a marine actinomycete that produces atrop-abyssomicin C and proximicin A, both of which have novel structures and modes of action. In order to understand the biosynthesis of these compounds, to identify further biosynthetic potential, and to facilitate rational improvement of secondary metabolite titers, we have sequenced the complete 6.7-Mb genome of Verrucosispora maris AB-18-032.</P>

Halolamina rubra CBA1107T (=CECT 8421T, JCM 19436T), an extremely halophilic archaeon, was isolated from non-purified solar salt in the Republic of Korea. H. rubra CBA1107T shows agarase activity, and its draft genome contains 2955,064bp with a G+C content of 69.0%. This is the first genome that has been sequenced in the genus Halolamina.

Kim, M.-S.,Whon, T. W.,Roh, S. W.,Shin, N.-R.,Bae, J.-W. American Society for Microbiology 2011 Journal of Bacteriology Vol.193 No.23
<P>Despite the ecological importance of the dominant gut bacteria Bacteroides, few genomes have been defined. The Gram-negative, strictly anaerobic intestinal bacterium Bacteroides faecis MAJ27(T) was isolated from the feces of a healthy adult. Here, the draft genome sequence of the type strain B. faecis MAJ27 (6.11 Mbp) is reported.</P>

Fluorinated activated carbon (F-AC) exhibits significantly improved electrochemical capacitive performance compared to raw activated carbon (R-AC). F-AC electrode shows a specific capacitance coming up to 19.8Fcm-3, whereas the capacitance of R-AC electrode is 18.4Fcm-3. Besides, the kinetic enhancement of F-AC is also memorable. This phenomenon indicates that F-AC tends to form electric double-layer ions on its surface more rapidly than does R-AC. This formation is a result of the increased electrical conductivity attributed to the semi-ionic bonding character between fluorine and activated carbon. The electrochemical improvement of F-AC proves that fluorination is a very effective method for providing greater possibilities for supercapacitor applications of AC in nonaqueous electrolytes.

<P>cis-9, trans-11 Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is one of the most extensively studied CLA isomers due to its multiple isomer-specific effects. However, the molecular mechanisms of cis-9,trans-11 CLA synthesis in ruminant mammary gland are still not clearly understood. This process may be mediated, to a certain extent, by trans-11 C18:1 regulated by stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD1) and/or its syntrophic proteins. This study aimed to investigate the effects of TVA on SCD1-mediated cis-9,trans-11 CLA synthesis in MAC-T cells and its potential molecular mechanism. Results showed that trans-11 C18:1 was continually taken up and converted into cis-9,trans-11 CLA in MAC-T cells during the 4-h incubation of 50?μM trans-11 C18:1. SCD1 protein expression increased more than twofold at 2?h (P?<?0.01) and 2.5?h (P?<?0.05) before decreasing to less than half of the normal level at 4?h (P?<?0.05). One up-regulated (RAS guanyl releasing protein 4 isoform 1 [RASGRP4]) and six down-regulated proteins (glucosamine-6-phosphate deaminase 1 [GNPDA1], triosephosphate isomerase [TPI1], phosphoglycerate mutase 1 [PGAM1], heat shock protein beta-1 [HSPB1], annexin A3 [ANXA3], thiopurine S-methyltransferase [TPMT]) were found in MAC-T cells treated with trans-11 C18:1. Of these seven identified proteins, the presence of GNPDA1 and PGAM1 was verified in several models. More trans-11 C18:1 was taken up after PGAM1 knockdown by small interfering RNA (siRNA). In conclusion, our data suggested that PGAM1 may have a negative relationship with SCD1 and seemed to be involved in cis-9, trans-11 CLA synthesis by facilitating the absorption of trans-11 C18:1 in the bovine mammary gland.</P>
