A red nitride phosphor with a chemical formula: ðSr0:8Ca0:2ÞAlSiN3: Eu2þ 0:0075 was successfully synthesized using spark plasma sintering at a temperature of 1680 C from powder mixture of metal nitrides of Sr, Ca, Al, and Si and europium (III) oxide. The prepared phosphor showed a wide excitation band ranging from 300 to 550 nm and a broad emission band centered at a wavelength of about 618 nm, being suitable for use in down-conversion white LEDs. The effects of sintering temperature, holding time as well as uniaxial pressure on phosphor characteristics were investigated. Increasing the sintering temperature increased the crystallization and PL characteristics of the phosphor. The excitation and emission intensity of the phosphor was also affected by the holding time at the maximum temperature. When the synthesis was carried out at 1680 C and 30 MPa, the optimal holding time was around 30 min. Increasing the uniaxial pressure resulted in the improvement of the excitation and emission intensity. The optical properties of the phosphor synthesized at an increased uniaxial pressure of 42 MPa (1680 C for 30 min) was comparable to those of the commercial phosphor. The experimental results indicated that the spark plasma sintering method is a viable method to prepare nitride phosphors at relatively low temperatures in short synthesis time, compared to conventional methods.

In this era, the integrated technologies in a unit bring huge benefits for customers. In this paper, a novel design of structure for autonomous system is illustrated. It is superior by combining the specifications of various types in commercial market. As a result, numerous advantages of systems are converged into unified unit. The design of autonomous platform consists of hardware components and infrastructure. Later, the modeling of autonomous system is simulated on computer to fit with proposed design. The implementation of control scheme into model is to drive autonomous system to complete mission. From simulation results, it can be seen that the proposed strategy is feasible, effective and capable in reality.
Hybrid planar Hall-magnetoresistance sensor based on tilted cross-junction
Hung, Tran Quang,Jeong, Jong-Ryul,Kim, Dong-Young,Duc, Nguyen Huu,Kim, CheolGi Institute of Physics [etc.] 2009 Journal of Physics. D, Applied Physics Vol.42 No.5
<P>We report a new kind of high sensitivity magnetic sensor based on a tilted cross-junction which combines both the planar Hall effect (PHE) and magnetoresistance (MR) to enhance the sensitivity and linearity of the sensor. The sensitivity of this hybrid sensor is enhanced by about 30% when the cross-junction is tilted at an angle of 45° compared with a normal cross sensor junction. In this case, a sensitivity of 9.5 µV Oe−1 is reached. Systematic investigations on the role of PHE and MR revealed that the transverse PHE component is always constant with tilt angle variations and it dominates the linearity of the hybrid sensor whereas the longitudinal MR component was the reason for improving the sensor sensitivity. The obtained results of the tilted cross-junction were described successfully using the first order approximation of the Stoner–Wohlfarth energy term.</P>
Environmental plasma-catalysis for the energy-efficient treatment of volatile organic compounds
Quang Hung Trinh,목영선 한국화학공학회 2016 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.33 No.3
Nonthermal plasma (NTP) coupled with catalysis is a promising technique for the abatement of dilute volatile organic compounds (VOCs), because it is operable under mild reaction conditions, i.e., low temperature and atmospheric pressure. This review addresses the mechanistic aspects of catalyst activation by NTP, such as the generation and fixation of reactive species, facilitation of redox cycles, photocatalysis, and local heating, to clarify the combined effects of plasma and catalysis. The plasma-catalytic removal of VOCs preferentially requires the catalyst to have a large specific surface area, high surface oxygen storage capacity, and to be highly reducible. The energy consumption and deactivation of catalysts are considered by comparing continuous and cyclic operations in terms of specific input energy, VOC removal and energy efficiencies, and byproduct formation. Based on the information in the literature, a plasma-catalytic system operating in cyclic adsorption-oxidation mode is recommended for the treatment of air contaminated by dilute VOCs. Finally, the effects of NTP on the regeneration of deactivated catalysts are also discussed.

<P>We have investigated the planar Hall effect (PHE) in three multilayer structures such as a bilayer, a spin-valve and a weak exchange bias coupling bilayer structure introduced a very thin Cu spacer layer between the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic layers. These thin films are Ta(3)/NiFe(10)/IrMn(10)/Ta(3) (nm), Ta(3)/NiFe(10)/Cu(1.2)/NiFe(2)/IrMn(10)/Ta(3) (nm), and Ta(3)/NiFe(10)/Cu(0.2)/IrMn(10)/Ta(3) (nm), respectively. The active layers in all three structures were kept constant. The field-sensitivity of the fabricated PHE sensors obtained for the respected structures are about 1.6 muV middot Oe-1, 5 muV middot Oe-1, and 12 muV middot Oe-1, respectively. The results suggest that the sensor based on a weak exchange bias coupling structure has the highest field-sensitivity compared with the others. The proposed weak exchange bias coupling structure emphasizes for the development of the PHE sensor materials.</P>

The potential role of the tide-induced time-mean flow (the tidal residual current) in determining transport through the Tsugaru Strait (located between the East/Japan Sea and the North Pacific) is investigated using a high-resolution numerical barotropic model. The calculated K_1, O_1, M_2, and S_2 tidal fields agree well with available observational records derived from both tide gauge and current meter measurements in the strait and the adjacent seas. The tidal residual current speed reaches 0.3 ms^(-1) in two narrow “neck” areas where topographic sills are located. This result suggests that tides should be taken into account in estimating the long-term water mass and nutrient transport through narrow regions between the East/Japan Sea and the North Pacific. An interesting aspect of the tidal residual current field is the prediction of several active eddy zones in which sequences of eddy triplets develop in the vicinity of capes. Our vorticity analysis reveals that the interplay of topographic effects arising from both the headland and the sill around capes plays a critical role in the formation of these triple eddy patterns.

The study aims to identify Service Quality factors that affect purchase decision on Click and Collect service through the mediating variable of customer emotions at Mobile World stores in Ho Chi Minh City. This study employs a mixed methods research design. Data were collected through online self-completion questionnaire distributed to 316 customers who used to experience Click and Collect service at the Mobile World stores in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The theoretical model was tested through two-stage regression analysis (PATH model). The findings show that factors of service quality such as Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, Tangibility, and Emotions affect the decision to purchase online and receive products directly at Mobile World stores in Ho Chi Minh City. Responsiveness and Assurance have a significant positive impact on the customer's emotions. Consequently, these factors should be considered and addressed when conducting multi-channel services. Obviously, employees must first be trained to be able to deliver the promise of the retailer to their customers. Based on the results of the study, the authors provide managerial implications for retailers in Vietnam in the multi-channel retail environment to develop Click and Collect at retail stores across the country and the world.

The current higher education in Vietnam demonstrates the intense competition among local universities. Undoubtedly, the issue of enhancing the brand value to attract students is now placed at the top to Vietnamese universities. The research aims to identify the objective and subjective factors affecting the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as mediated by students’ perceptions. This paper employs the mixed research methods and data were then analyzed by measuring Cronbach's Alpha coefficient for reliability, analyzing EFA, and using PATH model to test the experiment on the research model affecting HUTECH’s brand value. Probability sampling used is Stratified sampling and 500 students of 8 faculties of HUTECH surveyed by convenience sampling. Additionally, this paper also proposes some managerial implications on enhancing the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The results indicate that the new factor, namely geographic location is the most influential factor to enhance the brand value of private universities in general and HUTECH in particular. Brand still plays a determinant role in students' trust when choosing a university. Finally, some implications proposed to enhance the brand value of private universities in Ho Chi Minh City in the context of fierce competition in attracting students.
