<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Cadmium (Cd) accumulation in agricultural soils is one of the major threats to food security. The application of inorganic amendments such as mono-ammonium phosphate (MAP), gypsum and elemental sulfur (S) could alleviate the negative effects of Cd in crops. However, their long-term residual effects on decreasing Cd uptake in latter crops remain unclear. A field that had previously been applied with treatments including control and 0.2, 0.4 and 0.8% by weight of each MAP, gypsum and S, and grown with wheat and rice and thereafter wheat in the rotation was selected for this study. Wheat (<I>Triticum aestivum</I> L.) was grown in the same field as the third crop without further application of amendments to evaluate the residual effects of the amendments on Cd uptake by wheat. Plants were harvested at maturity and grain, and straw yield along with Cd concentration in soil, straw, and grains was determined. The addition of MAP and gypsum significantly increased wheat growth and yield and decreased Cd accumulation in straw and grains compared to control while the reverse was found in S application. Both MAP and gypsum decreased AB-DTPA extractable Cd in soil while S increased the bioavailable Cd in soil. Both MAP and gypsum increased the Cd immobilization in the soil and S decreased Cd immobilization in a dose-additive manner. We conclude that MAP and gypsum had a significant residual effect on decreasing Cd uptake in wheat. The cost-benefit ratio revealed that gypsum is an effective amendment for decreasing Cd concentration in plants.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Residual monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and gypsum reduced the Cd uptake in wheat. </LI> <LI> Amendment of residual elemental sulfur (S) increased Cd uptake in plants. </LI> <LI> Gypsum had the highest cost-benefit ratio compared with MAP and elemental S. </LI> <LI> Gypsum may be used to enhance crop production in Cd-contaminated soils. </LI> </UL> </P>

The channel capacity plays an important role in the estimation of the maximum data that can be transferred through a given channel. Orbital angular momentum (OAM) is gaining importance in the research community because of the multiple orthogonal modes. Higher OAM modes diverge with the transmission distance. In this paper, the channel capacity of the OAM-MIMO system is analyzed by varying the distance between the OAM transmitter and receiver.
Prediction Impulsive Observer for Sampled-Data Linear Systems

This paper introduces the novel idea of using a prediction type impulsive observer for sampled-data linear time invariant systems. After the successful introduction of the current impulsive observer, this new technique is a logical extension as existing in the case of discrete systems. Despite having only discrete output measurements at the sampling points, the continuous states of the plant are estimated. The proposed estimation is able to achieve deadbeat convergence for any non-pathological sampling time. The approach is simulated through a numerical example for its efficacy and applicability.

The main purpose of this article is to describe the magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow ofWalter-B nanofluid over a stretching sheet. The phenomena of heat and mass transfer are based on theinvolvement of thermal radiation and chemical reaction. Characteristics of Newtonian heating are givenspecial attention. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis models are introduced in the temperatureand concentration expressions. Appropriate variables are implemented for the transformation of partialdifferential frameworks into sets of ordinary differential equations. Plots for velocity, temperature, andnanoparticle concentration are displayed and analyzed for governing parameters. The skin friction coefficientand local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are studied using numerical values. The temperatureand heat transfer rate are enhanced within the frame of the thermal conjugate parameter.
Slotted ALOHA with Uplink Orbital Angular Momentum for 6G Massive IoT

This paper proposes novel slotted ALOHA (SA) with orbital angular momentum (OAM) for 6G massive internet of things (IoT). In OAM-based SA (OAM-SA), devices transmit packets in random OAM modes and slots, jointly, where OAM modes are considered as a new diversity domain. The throughput of OAM-SA is derived and compared with conventional SA and power division multiple access (PDMA). The numerical results show that OAM-SA outperforms both SA and PDMA. The proposed OAM-SA with PDMA is also investigated in this paper and the results are a potential proof that OAM-SA is applicable for future wireless access to support 6G massive IoT applications.
A comparative study of linear control strategies on the aerodynamics twin rotor system

This work presents the comparative study among pole-placement (PP), optimalcontrol using output-feedback (OCOF), linear-quadratic regulator (LQR), and PID controllers for the twin rotor multi-input multi-output system (TRMS). The pitch and yaw are key attributes for stabilizing the TRMS MIMO system and control of flight. The main objective of this study is to use these classical controller techniques to monitor the pitch and yaw angles of TRMS and show the result of these techniques. Simulation results depicts the actual performance and reveals how PP outperforms the other techniques.

In this paper, we have explored different aspects of weighted average cardinality of finite intuitionistic fuzzy sets with aid of necessity and possibility operators. Also we have defined the concept of scalar valued relative sigma count of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, which in turn is utilized to define a ranking technique for intuitionistic fuzzy sets and the concept of intuitionistic fuzzy quantifiers.
