In Korea, a number of large-sized public project are understook according to the advanced construction technology and require the schedule management to establish schedule plan, to control construction progresses, and to solve matters related with another project. But, problems are breaking out in field of schedule management because its function is contrary against our expectation. So, This study focus on suggesting the method to be more effective schedule management in huge public construction project.

This study was conducted to investigate the distribution of wildbird at campus in Chungnam National University. The survey was carried over 5 districts by line transect method from May, 1999 to April 2000, The observed birds were 7 orders 21 families 46 species and 3,057 individuals, these consist of 25 species for residents, 12 species for summer visitors, 5 species for winter visitors, and 4 species for passage migrant. The average density of birds was 12 ea/ha, and main dominant species was Pica pica, Paradoxornis webbianus, Parus major, Aegithalos caudatus, Ixos amaurotis in order. Species richness of bird community showed a maximum value in spring, but density showed a maximum value in winter. Breeding bird community in study area were mainly predominated by hole-nesting guild, canopy-nesting guild and canopy-foraging guild. For the protection of wildbirds at campus, it needs to plant bushes around trails and to control users. Artificial food, water station and artificial nest are needed for the habituation of wildbirds.

The Purpose of this study is to make a Reasonable Decision Making Model using DPL Program which used value and chance nodes. It has classified Risk Factors and is organized logically. There are two kinds of Risk Factors which have Quantitative and Qualitative Characters. To make an effective Feasibility analyzing model, Each Risk Factors has an range value. The Results of DPL simulation which are used by Probability Distributions gives support to make the best Decisions in Feasibility analysis. It is very important to make the best Decisions for Owners and Contractors in the beginning stage of any Construction Projects. Therefore, This paper suggests an effective Decision Making Method including Risk Factors which has Concept of Probability and Distribution.

The use of plates have gone on constantly increasing the slab system of the steel structures in construction field but the productivity of deck plate installation has constantly declined because of the lack of coordination, fragmented nature, and queuing time. This paper provides models for analyzing the complex cause and effect relationships that may lead to a loss of productivity in construction. The purpose of this study is to suggest the methods to improve the productivity and reduce the idle time of the deck plate installation through work sampling, crew balance, work sequence evaluation, and Extend simulation. The model introduced in the paper will provide a new approach to evaluating occurrences of productivity.
건설 PMIS 실태와 건설 CALS 연계 및 확산방안에 관한 연구

This study has aimed for wide spreading of CALS in Construction Industry. The PMIS produce original information of construction project linked to CALS. So, this study have investigated present state of PMIS in construction industry, and reviewed the interface to construction CALS. And, key issues of adopting PMIS & CALS to whole construction and its related industry have been found. Additionally, it has also found improvement issues of construction system and political supports for PMIS adoption.
건설 클레임의 예측모델에 관한 연구 : 턴키프로젝트 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to identify those attributes that affect a construction project, and to construct a model to predict construction claim in Turn-key construction projects. Data for the model development were collected using forty questionnaire surveys. This study developed a model and the likelihood of construction claims was modeled using logistic regression. People, process, and project issues play a role in predicting the likelihood of Turn-key construction claims. In this paper, the theoretical framework for predictable factors is first presented. This is followed by the research methodology. The results of the relevance of the attributes as tested in the fieldwork are then presented and discussed. Next, the Logistic regression model development is described, followed by model validation. The final section discusses the limitations of this paper and concludes the study. The essence of this study is that claims in Turn-key construction projects can be predicted by using variables.

Many construction E&C companies have recognized lack of productivity in the execution project. For improvement of productivity in construction industry, they have applied KM to construction industry. As a result, the application of KM in Korea is transition period. There is many difficulty for the KM but advantage also. In this study, consider KM and find difficulty and advantage for application to the Korean construction industry, finally categorize critical success factor of KM.

People are concerned with Quality of living in these days. This concerns naturally increase people's interests in real estate especially housing reconstruction. Due to the apartment housing has been deteriorated, the residence want to reconstruct the apartment housing that had been build in the late 70's. The problem for this matter is that an association is not Qualified in reconstruction. It makes many problems such a miss-processing and fairness. If CM service is applied in reconstruction industry, participant of reconstruction will gain benefits and solve many complicate problems. The propose of this study is to present the possible solutions for the shortage of skilled labor in Korean construction industry that is currently encountered. This study examined employment trends in construction industry in Korea and U.S.A. The construction industry is highly influenced by economic cycle. The aging of the crafts and shortage of workers are pressing issue in this industry. In order to solve this problem, The construction industry must lead women labor to enter the their industry with appropriate education. This answer to the shortage is to retain those workers currently worked in other industry and to streamline construction practices to reduce labor strain.
Pre-Design 단계에서의 건설사업관리 적용방안에 관한 연구

Even though Construction Management(i.e. CM) law was legislated in 1997, that was not strongly applied to construction industry except mega construction project. The reason is based on some restricts from construction system, client/costumer, supplier and construction environment. Especially, CM was oriented on construction after this, so there is no attempt to apply on Pre Design, Design, and Pre Construction which stage can affect to construction project. In this situation, this paper presents how to apply CM on Pre-Design stage through case study. In this, the item of feasibility study, reviewing preliminary plan, and writing request for proposal about turn key project are mainly concerned.
