TV 드라마 <초인가족>에 나타난 웃음 전략과 희망 서사의 아이러니

TV 드라마 <초인가족>은 30분 분량의 에피소드를 2회씩 방영한 시트콤 장르에 속한다. 이 드라마는 시트콤이라는 장르 명칭 대신에 ‘초감성 미니-드라마’라고 내세웠지만 특성상 시트콤 장르의 범주에 속한다. <초인가족>은 기존의 시트콤과 차별성을 보여주는데 그것은 이 드라마가 극중 TV 뉴스 장면을 통해 매회 에피소드의 주제 및 소재를 제시하면서 그에 따른 좌충우돌 이야기를 통해 당대 사회의 모순과 부조리를 풍자하고 있다는 것이다. <초인가족>이 시트콤 장르로서 전경화하는 것은 크게 두 가지로 말할 수 있다. 첫째는 나천일 가족들이 극중 카메라(또는 시청자)를 바라보며 말을 거는 전략이다. 이러한 전략은 브레히트의 서사극 전략과 유사해 보이지만 그 결과는 정반대의 효과를 만든다. 왜냐하면 <초인가족>에서 나천일 가족이 카메라를 보고 대화를 시도하는 것은 극중 현실이나 극중 인물들과 시청자 사이에 거리를 형성하기보다는 오히려 공감(共感) 형성과 친밀감을 유발하기 때문이다. 둘째는 나천일과 맹라연의 자기반영적 장치이다. 극중에서 TV를 통해 나천일과 맹라연 역을 맡은 배우 박혁권과 박선영이 출연했던 기존 사극을 등장시키거나 가공의 아침 드라마 또는 뉴스 인터뷰 등에 이들이 등장하면서 자기반영적인 특성을 보여준다. <초인가족>은 나천일 가족과 그의 직장 동료, 동네 주민 등의 애환을 코믹하게 다루고 있지만 이들이 감당해야 하는 극중 현실은 잔인할 정도로 참혹하다. 나천일은 직장을 그만 둔 후 최문석 과장과 치킨집을 개업하지만 파리만 날리는 신세가 된다. 그의 동생 나백일은 취업문을 두드리다가 포기하고 귀향한다. 옆집 남자는 잘 나가는 직장인이었다가 정리 해고되는 바람에 아내 대신 집안일을 도맡게 된다. 맹라연과 나익희가 받아들여야 하는 현실과 미래상도 그리 호의적이지는 않다. 따라서 이 드라마는 가족의 응원으로 나천일이 곤경을 극복할 수 있으리라고 이야기하지만 이 표면적인 서사 밑에는 이들이 결코 ‘중간’ 또는 소시민으로 버텨내기 힘들다는 비관적인 미래상도 배경화면으로 남겨두고 있다. The TV drama <The Super Family>, which was broadcast as two 30-minute episodes, has been typically categorized in the genre of sitcoms. However, despite this categorization, the drama has been touted as an “ultra-emotional mini-drama.” <The Super Family> depicts a distinction from traditional sitcoms, wherein the drama satirizes the contradictions and absurdities of society by presenting various relevant themes in each episode through its TV news scene. Primarily, two factors place <The Super Family> in the sitcom genre. The first is the strategy of having families of Na Chun-il address the camera (or the viewers) directly. This is similar to Brecht’s epic strategy, but the results have the opposite effect because in <The Super Family>, Na Chun-il’s family tries to talk to the camera instead of creating a distance between the audience and the reality of the play. The second is the self-reflective device of Na Chun-il and Maeng Ra-yeon. In the TV drama, actors Park Hyuk-kwon and Park Sun-young, who play Na Chun-il and Maeng Ra-yeon, respectively, appear in historical or fictitious morning dramas, or news interviews, exhibiting their self-reflective characteristics. While <The Super Family> comically deals with the plight of Na Chun-il’s family, his co-workers, and residents in the neighborhood, the reality faced by them is brutal. After quitting his job, Na Chun-il opens a chicken restaurant with Choi Moon-seok. Na Baek-il, his younger brother, gives up on his job search and returns home. Their neighbor, a formerly successful office worker who was fired, takes charge of all the household chores instead of his wife. The reality and future that await Maeng Ra-yeon and Na Ik-hee are not favorable either. Therefore, the drama suggests that while Na Chun-il may be able to overcome difficulties with his family’s support, under the ostensible narrative, there exists a pessimistic vision of the future that they will be unable to survive as “the middle class” or “petty bourgeois.”

Leader-following Consensus Criteria for Multi-agent Systems with Time-delay and Static Interconnection Topology

This paper proposes new delay-dependent consensus criteria for multi-agent systems with time-varying delays and static interconnection topology. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii’s functional and utilizing convexhull properties, new delay-dependent consensus criteria for the systems are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. One numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Quantized Consensus Criterion for Discrete-time Multi-agent Systems with Communication Delay

This paper proposes a new consensus criterion for discrete-time multi-agent systems with communicationdelay and quantization. The interconnection information through the sensor of each agent are measuring to be the quantized by a logarithmic quantizer, and its quantization error is included in the proposed method. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and utilizing reciprocally convex approach, a new consensus criterion for the concerned systems is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. One numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Closeness-Centrality-Based Synchronization Criteria for Complex Dynamical Networks With Interval Time-Varying Coupling Delays

<P>This paper investigates synchronization in complex dynamical networks (CDNs) with interval time-varying delays. The CDNs are representative of systems composed of a large number of interconnected dynamical units, and for the purpose of the mathematical analysis, the leading work is to model them as graphs whose nodes represent the dynamical units. At this time, we take note of the importance of each node in networks. One way, in this paper, is that the closeness-centrality mentioned in the field of social science is grafted onto the CDNs. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, and utilizing some mathematical techniques, the sufficient and closeness-centrality-based conditions for synchronization stability of the networks are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Ultimately, the use of the closeness-centrality can be weighted with regard to not only the interconnection relation among the nodes, which was utilized in the existing works but also more information about nodes. Here, the centrality will be added as the concerned information. Moreover, to avoid the computational burden causing the nonconvex term including the square of the time-varying delay, how to deal with it is applied by estimating it to the convex term including time-varying delay. Finally, two illustrative examples are given to show the advantage of the closeness-centrality in point of the robustness on time-delay.</P>

다개체 시스템에서의 중심성 기반 접근법

최근 다수의 개체들로 구성된 네트워크인 다개체 시스템에 관한 분석과 효율적인 접근법에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 고에서는 사회과학 분야의 소셜 네트워크 분석 관점에서 기존 접근의 한계점과 그 보완방안에 대하여 소개한다. Recently, interest in analysis and efficient approaches to multi-agent systems, which are networks composed of multiple entities, is increasing. This paper introduces the limitations of the existing approaches and their complementary methods from the perspective of social network analysis in the field of social sciences.

국민문학 시대, 오영진 작품의 민족주의적 정체성

이 글은 오영진의 해방전 시나리오 <맹진사댁 경사>, <배뱅이굿>을 분석 대상으로 하여, 작품에 내제된 오영진의 민족주의적 정체성을 고찰하고자 하였다. 오영진에 대한 초기 연구에서부터 오영진과 전통에 대한 논의는 매우 긴밀한 연관을 맺어 왔다. 이는 그를 민족주의적 작가로 정의하고 그 정체성을 전통계승과 재창조의 측면으로 한정해 왔다. 이러한 인식의 바탕에는 친일담론에 대한 선입관도 영향을 미친 것으로 보인다. 2000년 이후의 논의들은 전통에 대한 담론과 일본의 제국주의적 정책의 상관성을 바탕으로 단선적이었던 이전의 민족주의적 논의들을 보다 예리하게 확장시키고 있다. 그러나 이들의 논의들도 두 작품에 내제된 근대적 징후들을 여전히 간과했다는데 한계를 지니고 있다. 오영진의 민족주의적 정체성은 무엇보다도 기독교 민족주의에 그 뿌리를 두고 있다. 지금까지 그의 민족주의적 자질에 부가해 왔던 전기적인 사실이나 성장과정, 그리고 장르, 그의 관심과 열정의 대상은 모두 서구의 근대적 관념들을 바탕으로 하고 있는 모더니티의 산물들이다. 무엇보다 서북지방을 중심으로 한 부르주아 상인들의 청교도적 의식이 강한 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 보이며, 이는 이성과 진보, 자유와 전근대에 대한 비판적 태도를 내포한다. 따라서 일제말 즉 국민문학 시대 일본이 추구했던 동양적 세계와 서구의 근대적 세계의 대립 구도 속에서 그의 작품의 심층적 주제 의식은 후자를 지향하고 있다. 전자의 세계에 대한 부분적인 동의가 최재서의 신지방주의에 의해 표명되는데, 두 작품이 보여 주고 있는 반전통적이며, 기독교적 의식의 징후들은 조선의 로컬리티를 내세운 동양적 전통 혹은 보존 · 계승적 전통과 밀접한 최재서의 방법론과 결을 달리 하고 있음을 보여준다. 식민지 시대 근대성에 대한 논의는 근대화에 대한 조선의 주체적인 측면이 식민지 근대화에 대한 거부감에 의해 축소되고, 동시에 친일담론과의 예민한 논쟁성에 빠질지 모르는 위험성에 대한 무의식적 회피로 인해 활발한 논의가 이루어 지지 못했다. 오영진의 민족주의적 정체성에 대한 단선적 논의들의 한계도 이와 같은 맥락에서 이해 가능하다. 그러나 전통은 고정된 것이 아니라, 새롭게 재창조 되는 것이다. 지금까지 오영진의 작품에 대한 전통과 민족주의적 논의들의 궁극적 목적은 이것의 해명에 초점을 맞추어 왔다고 볼 수 있다. 이 글의 궁극적인 목적 또한 그와 동일하다. 다만 오영진의 해방전 작품 속에서 전통은 그 자체로 하나의 목적이 되는 것이 아니라 새로운 창조적 전통을 위한 기표로서 작용하고, 기독교와 근대적 의식을 바탕으로 한 새로운 시대적 이상과 관념을 반일적인 맥락속에서 제시했다는 데서, 그의 민족주의적 정체성의 본질을 찾을 수 있다는 것을 강조하고 싶다. This paper aims to examine Oh Young Jin’s nationalistic identification in the scenarios in 〈Bebengie Mourning〉, 〈Festivity of the Maeng family〉. It has been closely connected to early investigations of Oh Young Jin and previous discussions about tradition. This connection has resulted in Oh Young Jin being regarded as a nationalist author, however, the identification of the writer is limited to traditional inheritance and recreation. This appears to be affected by the prejudice of his pro-Japanese discourse as well. Some of the discussions about the writer after 2000 have been expanded to other interpretations; however, those discussions also suffered from a limitation due to the underestimation of the modernism symbolism in his works. Oh Young Jin’s nationalism is based on Christian-Nationalism Philosophy. His biography, life, the genre of his works, his concerns, and his passions are the consequences of the modernity that was based on modern western ideologies. In addition, Western modern ideas" had greatly influenced his works. More than anything, there was a strong influence from the puritan concept of bourgeois merchants who lived in northwest Korea. This influence includes rationality, progression, liberty, and a critical attitude against pre modernism. Consequently, the thematic consciousness was directed to western modernity, which was the opposite of the Eastern ideologies of Japan. Choe Jae Seo appropriated the aim of Japan. Therefore, there are clear differences between the two authors. The scarcity of discussions on modernity in the colonial era was caused by the diminution of the independence of Cho-sun during the modernization process and the evasion of pro-Japanese discourse. The limited discussions on Oh Young Jin’s nationalistic identification can be explained with the same reason. However, tradition should not remain fixed, it should be newly recreated. As such, the ultimate goal, including that of the study, for discussing about Oh Young Jin’s tradition and nationalism is, at all times, to focus on their clarification. However, his tradition(based on his works before independence from Japan) is not studied as an isolated specimen. Instead, this tradition serves as a signifier for a new creative tradition. Furthermore, I study the new era ideal and idea based on Christian and modern consciousness, in an anti-Japan context. Finally, I would like to emphasize, that we consider the essence of his nationalistic identification from this study.
