The study aims to explore the empirical effect of social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment on job satisfaction, and also to prove the theoretical model regarding affective commitment as a mediator between social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction. This research uses a quantitative approach to the survey method through a Likert scale model questionnaire. The questionnaire for all research variables is reliable with an alpha coefficient > 0.7. The research participants are comprised of 386 teachers in Indonesia selected by accidental sampling. Data analysis uses path analysis supported by descriptive statistics and correlational matrices. The research results indicate that social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Besides, affective commitment also indirectly mediates the effect of social intelligence, integrity, and self-efficacy on job satisfaction. Thus, a new model regarding the effect of social intelligence, integrity, and self-efficacy on job satisfaction mediating by affective commitment was confirmed. The research suggested that the teachers’ job satisfaction can improve through social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment. Therefore, researchers and practitioners can adopt a new empirical model to enhance job satisfaction through social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment in the future.
Determinants of Real Interest Rates: The Case of Jordan Long-Fei

The study is aimed at investigating the main factors that affect the interest rate yields, in the long-term. In addition, the study surveys the theories and literature relating to the determinants of interest rate. The importance of which is essential not only for governments, but also for banks and corporate financial risk management decisions, including risk exposures in banks and capital markets. Interest rate influences corporate profit as well as growth. For this purpose, the study examines the impact of budget deficit, risk-free rate, capital inflows, money supply and business cycles on real interest rate in Jordan. These factors are based upon well-established theories and straightforward practical view as interest rate determinants. Using data for (1990-2015), the study employed Johansen’s co-integrating test, which takes into consideration the long-term unsynchronized relationships. The data is tested for normality, symmetric correlations, covariance diagonal and unit root. The results show that the government budget deficit, short-term risk-free interest rate, capital inflows, money supply and business cycle are long-term determinants of the real interest rate in Jordan. The coefficients of government budget deficit, short-term risk-free rate, money supply and business cycle all are inversely affecting the real interest rate, while capital inflows has a positive impact on the real interest rate.

We have demonstrated AlGaN/GaN high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) fabricated with a MgF2 passivation layer. Upon MgF2 passivation using an e-beam evaporator, the HEMT showed a maximum drain saturation current of 508 mA/mm, a maximum transconductance of 136 mS/mm, a significantly reduced gate forward leakage current, a low gate reverse leakage current of 1.8 × 10^-7 A/mm at gate bias voltage of -10 V, and an increased breakdown voltage of 563 V. This suggests that the MgF2 film is quite useful as a passivation layer for AlGaN/GaN HEMTs.

Effluents of wastewater treatment plants represent critical control points for antibiotic resistancemanagement. To meet strict regulations coming into effect in the future advanced technologies need tobe implemented that can remove the factors contributing to the development of resistance in receivingnatural environments. By performing microbiological assays we show that electron beam treatment of acomplex synthetic effluent wastewater matrix is able to eliminate one of these factors, the antimicrobialactivity of the b-lactam antibiotic piperacillin present at environmentally relevant concentration. SinceOH governs the antibacterial inactivation the technology needs to be designed to the stoichiometricpresence of OH.

Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) removal and recovery as struvite from various waste streams havedrawn much attentions for environmentally friendly and economically competitive fertilizer production. In this study, integrated approach of using food wastewater (FW) and incinerated sewage sludge ash(ISSA) as the alternative N and P sources and optimum Mg dosage were investigated for thefirst time toachieve maximal nutrient recovery as struvite (MgNH4PO4 6H2O). Response surface methodology (RSM)successfully established the optimum condition for the maximum recovery of PO43 -P (97.7%), NH4+-N(74.8%), and Mg2+ (95.5%) as precipitate at pH 9.63 and molar ratio of PO43 -P:NH4+-N:Mg2+ of 1:0.6:1.59. The recovered precipitate mostly consists of struvite (72.6%) and shows high P-bioavailability (98.8%)with very low heavy metals content indicating a high performance fertilizer. Moreover, economicanalysis highlights that the struvite production pathway could gain $149.1/m3 of FW to move forwardsfor economical struvite production.
