The objective of our study is to investigate the wound healing activity of the bark extract of Carapa guianensis in rats using three different wound models. The animals were randomly divided into two groups of six each in all the models. Test group animals were treated topically with the bark extract (200mg/kg of body weight), and the controls were treated with petroleum jelly in the excision wound model. In the incision and dead space wound models the test group animals were treated with the extract of C. guianensis (200mg/kg/day) orally by mixing in drinking water, and the control group animals were maintained with plain drinking water. Healing was assessed by the rate of wound contraction, period of epithelialization, skin breaking strength, granulation tissue weight, and hydoxyproline content. Antimicrobial activities of the extract against the microorganisms were also assessed. On day 15 extract-treated animals exhibited 99% reduction in the wound area compared to controls (93%). The extract-treated wounds were found to epithelialize faster than controls (P<.02). The skin breaking strength was significantly higher in extract-treated animals compared to controls (P<.001). The weight and hydroxyproline content of granulation tissue were significantly increased compared to controls. These observations support the use of C. guianensis is in the management of wound healing.
The Modernization of Industrial Relations in Germany : Trends and Perspectives
Mayer, Peter,Schweisshelm, Erwin 한국EU학회 2000 EU학연구 Vol.5 No.1
The German industrial relations model is emphasizing cooperation between trade unions and employers federations. The changing economic and social environment in Germany and elsewhere and political conditions in Germany in the eighties and nineties had exerted enormous pressure to reform the system. A consensus emerged that a reform of the system is needed. While the former government of Helmut Kohl in alliance with very articulate representatives of the employers favored radical changes of the system, the general orientation of the modernization debate has changed substantially with the assumption of power by the government of Gerhard Schr der in 1998. Two of the key agents for change, i.e. the government and the trade unions favor a modification of the system of industrial relations while leaving the key pillars intact. Central aspects of the ongoing modernization of the industrial relations systems are: 1) the introduction of more flexible elements into the collective bargaining system. 2) The strengthening and adaptation of mechanisms of co-determination at the plant level. 3) The reestablishment of consensus building mechanisms at the national level through the formation of a so-called alliance for job-creation and qualification which brings together government representatives with trade union leaders and representatives of the employers federations. This renewed emphasis on consensus and the recognition of trade unions and employers federations as organizations which should play an important role in the German industrial relations system and society in general is the most significant policy change in recent years.
Beam-target double-spin asymmetry in quasielastic electron scattering off the deuteron with CLAS

Conclusions: Final-state interactions seem to play a lesser role for polarization observables in deuteron two-body electrodisintegration than for absolute cross sections. Our data, while limited in statistical power, indicate that PWIA models work reasonably well to understand the asymmetries at lower missing momenta. In turn, this information can be used to extract the product of beam and target polarization (PbPt) from quasielastic electron-deuteron scattering, which is useful for measurements of spin observables in electron-neutron inelastic scattering. However, at the highest missing (neutron) momenta, FSI effects become important and must be accounted for.

Simulation of Ultrasonic Stress During Impact Phase in Wire Bonding
Mayer, Michael The Korean Microelectronics and Packaging Society 2013 마이크로전자 및 패키징학회지 Vol.20 No.4
As thermosonic ball bonding is developed for more and more advanced applications in the electronic packaging industry, the control of process stresses induced on the integrated circuits becomes more important. If Cu bonding wire is used instead of Au wire, larger ultrasonic levels are common during bonding. For advanced microchips the use of Cu based wire is risky because the ultrasonic stresses can cause chip damage. This risk needs to be managed by e.g. the use of ultrasound during the impact stage of the ball on the pad ("pre-bleed") as it can reduce the strain hardening effect, which leads to a softer deformed ball that can be bonded with less ultrasound. To find the best profiles of ultrasound during impact, a numerical model is reported for ultrasonic bonding with capillary dynamics combined with a geometrical model describing ball deformation based on volume conservation and stress balance. This leads to an efficient procedure of ball bond modelling bypassing plasticity and contact pairs. The ultrasonic force and average stress at the bond zone are extracted from the numerical experiments for a $50{\mu}m$ diameter free air ball deformed by a capillary with a hole diameter of $35{\mu}m$ at the tip, a chamfer diameter of $51{\mu}m$, a chamfer angle of $90^{\circ}$, and a face angle of $1^{\circ}$. An upper limit of the ultrasonic amplitude during impact is derived below which the ultrasonic shear stress at the interface is not higher than 120 MPa, which can be recommended for low stress bonding.
