      • Improved Received Signal Strength Ratio Based High Accuracy Indoor Visible Light Positioning Scheme

        Zhijie Luo,JinHua Wang,WenWen Zhao,JianKun Luo,WeiNan Zhang,GuoFu Zhou 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.12

With the increasingly development of Light-emitting Diode (LED) lighting, in this paper, we proposed an Indoor Visible Light Positioning (VLP) Scheme by using visible LED lights for accurate localization. The basic idea of the position scheme is to improve received signal strength ratio algorithm. Received signal strength ratio (RSSR) is the relative ratio of optical powers detected between each LED and optical receiver. In this paper, we introduce concept of multiple LEDs selection to improve RSSR positioning algorithm. By three LEDs are reasonably selected from the multiple LEDs deployed in the room, the positioning accuracy of RSSR is improved. The system can be employed easily because it does not require additional sensors and occlusion problem in visible light would be alleviated. In addition, we performed the simulation experiments, and confirmed the feasibility of our proposed method.

Development and Validation of the Humanistic Practice Ability of Nursing Scale

        Jinhua Zhang,Xiaoyan Zhou,Hefang Wang,Yanyan Luo,Wei Li 한국간호과학회 2021 Asian Nursing Research Vol.15 No.2

Purpose The purpose of this study was to develop a Humanistic Practice Ability of Nursing (HPAN) scale adapted to China and validate its psychometric properties. Methods The original HPAN scale was revised through a literature review. Sixteen experts who met the inclusion criteria were consulted 2 rounds by the Delphi method. According to their suggestions and opinions, the structure, content, and semantics of each item of HPAN were modified, and a HPAN scale was preliminarily developed. The HPAN scale was validated through item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, convergent validity, and reliability. The data came from 406 first-class hospital nurses. Results A 5-dimension, 29-item HPAN scale demonstrated satisfactory fit with significant factor loadings. The split-half reliability coefficient of the scale was .98, the split-half reliability coefficient of each dimension was .86–.99, Cronbach's α coefficient was .96, and the Cronbach's α coefficient of each dimension was .87–.98. The model fit of the scale was good, and the items of the scale showed convergent and discriminant validity. Conclusion The HPAN scale indicated that the reliability and validity were good. It is easy to imply factors of HPAN. This scale can be used to assess the HPAN.

Multi-objectives topology optimization of frame in an electric mining dump truck based on fuzzy satisfaction variable weight coefficients method

        Jinhua Liu,Liang Luo,Xuewen Xiao,Chen Zhang,Ling Zhang,Chengji Mi 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.6

In order to optimize the stiffness and strength and modal characteristics of frame in an electric mining dump truck determined by experiential design, the multi-objectives topology optimization is the most frequently used method. However, each single objective satisfaction degree has fuzziness when it comes to solve engineering problems. In this paper, a novel fuzzy multi-objective topology optimization method based on fuzzy satisfaction variable weight coefficients was presented. Based on the variable density method and SIMP interpolation model, the single objective topology optimization design under different conditions was performed. The fuzzy membership function was utilized to measure the sub-objective fuzzy satisfaction degree of frame. The weight factor of each single objective was dynamically assigned through variable weight approach. In consideration of fatigue stress constraint, the fuzzy multi-objectives topology optimization of frame was conducted through OptiStruct solver. The results showed that the stiffness of optimized frame under forward torsion and post torsion and full torsion conditions was improved by 4.7 %, 7.4 % and 5.4 %, respectively, while the stiffness of optimized frame under bending condition was worsened by 2.7 %. The first order natural frequency of optimized frame was improved by 5.6 %.

Removal of methylene blue from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto chemically activated halloysite nanotubes

        Peng Luo,Bing Zhang,Yafei Zhao,Jinhua Wang,Haoqin Zhang,Jindun Liu 한국화학공학회 2011 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.28 No.3

This study examines the adsorption behavior of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solutions onto chemically activated halloysite nanotubes. Adsorption of MB depends greatly on the adsorbent dose, pH, initial concentration, temperature and contact time. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were applied to describe the equilibrium isotherms and the Langmuir model agrees very well with experimental data. The maximum adsorption capacities for MB ranged from 91.32 to 103.63 mg·g^(−1 )between 298 and 318 K. A comparison of kinetic models applied to the adsorption data was evaluated for pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, Elovich and intra-particle diffusion equation. The results showed the adsorption process was well described by the pseudo-second-order and intra-particle diffusion mode. Thermodynamic parameters suggest that the adsorption is spontaneous and endothermic. The obtained results indicated that the product had the potential to be utilized as low-cost and effective alternative for dye removal in wastewater.

Lactate exacerbates lung damage induced by nanomicroplastic through the gut microbiota–HIF1a/PTBP1 pathway

        Xuan Lihui,Xu Zheng,Luo Jinhua,Yin Wang,Yan Yuhui,Qu Can,Xie Zuozhong,Skonieczna Magdalena,Zhou Ping-Kun,Huang Ruixue 생화학분자생물학회 2023 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.55 No.-

Exposure to nanomicroplastics (nano-MPs) can induce lung damage. The gut microbiota is a critical modulator of the gut–lung axis. However, the mechanisms underlying these interactions have not been elucidated. This study explored the role of lactate, a key metabolite of the microbiota, in the development of lung damage induced by nano-MPs (LDMP). After 28 days of exposure to nano-MPs (50–100 nm), mice mainly exhibited damage to the lungs and intestinal mucosa and dysbiosis of the gut microbiota. Lactate accumulation was observed in the lungs, intestines and serum and was strongly associated with the imbalance in lactic acid bacteria in the gut. Furthermore, no lactate accumulation was observed in germ-free mice, while the depletion of the gut microbiota using a cocktail of antibiotics produced similar results, suggesting that lactate accumulation in the lungs may have been due to changes in the gut microbiota components. Mechanistically, elevated lactate triggers activation of the HIF1a/PTBP1 pathway, exacerbating nano-MP-induced lung damage through modulation of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT). Conversely, mice with conditional knockout of Ptbp1 in the lungs (Ptbp1flfl) and PTBP1-knockout (PTBP1-KO) human bronchial epithelial (HBE) cells showed reversal of the effects of lactate through modulation of the HIF1a/PTBP1 signaling pathway. These findings indicate that lactate is a potential target for preventing and treating LDMP.

Association between Metabolic Syndrome and Microvascular Complications in Chinese Adults with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

        Qianwen Huang,Daizhi Yang,Hongrong Deng,Hua Liang,Xueying Zheng,Jinhua Yan,Wen Xu,Xiangwen Liu,Bin Yao,Sihui Luo,Jianping Weng 대한당뇨병학회 2022 Diabetes and Metabolism Journal Vol.46 No.1

Background: Both type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and metabolic syndrome (MetS) are associated with an elevated risk of morbidity and mortality yet with increasing heterogeneity. This study primarily aimed to evaluate the prevalence of MetS among adult patients with T1DM in China and investigate its associated risk factors, and relationship with microvascular complications. Methods: We included adult patients who had been enrolled in the Guangdong T1DM Translational Medicine Study conducted from June 2010 to June 2015. MetS was defined according to the updated National Cholesterol Education Program criterion. Logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio (OR) for the association between MetS and the risk of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and diabetic retinopathy (DR).Results: Among the 569 eligible patients enrolled, the prevalence of MetS was 15.1%. While female gender, longer diabetes duration, higher body mass index, and glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) were risk factors associated with MetS (OR, 2.86, 1.04, 1.14, and 1.23, respectively), received nutrition therapy education was a protective factor (OR, 0.46). After adjustment for gender, age, diabetes duration, HbA1c, socioeconomic and lifestyle variables, MetS status was associated with an increased risk of DKD and DR (OR, 2.14 and 3.72, respectively; both P<0.05).Conclusion: Although the prevalence of MetS in adult patients with T1DM in China was relatively low, patients with MetS were more likely to have DKD and DR. A comprehensive management including lifestyle modification might reduce their risk of microvascular complications in adults with T1DM.
