과학기술의 지속가능한 발전가능성이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

최근 과학기술의 무분별한 발전과 개발이 디스토피아적 미래를 가져올 수 있다는 우려에서 ‘지속가능한 발전’에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이 연구에는 이러한 관점에서 과학기술의 지속가능성에 대한 논의를 통해 장차 과학기술 정책에 대한 방향성을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 특히 과학기술의 발전이나 지속가능성 모두 결국엔 인간의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 것이라는 점에서 과학기술 발전이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 먼저 과학기술의 지속가능성과 삶의 질에 대한 인식조사 결과 모두 과학기술이 삶의 질 향상에 도움이 될 것이라는 것에 동의하는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편, 경로모형을 통하여 현존세대와 미래세대의 인식차이를 구체적으로 살펴본 결과를 종합하여 해석해보면, 과학기술이 사회적요구 충족에 영향을 미친다는 인식이 현존세대의 경우 삶의 질에 대한 인식에 직접적으로 영향을 미치나, 미래세대의 경우 과학기술의 지속가능성 인식을 매개하여 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. There is growing interest in "concern for sustainable development" concerning the recent widespread concern that indiscriminate development and development of science and technology can bring about a distorted future. In this research, from this point of view, we tried to explore the future direction of science and technology policy through discussion about the sustainability of science and technology. In particular, both the development of science and technology and sustainability eventually focused on improving the quality of human life, focusing on the influence of the development of science and technology on the quality of life. First of all, as a result of recognition research on the sustainability of science and technology and the quality of life, it was confirmed that all science and technology agreed to help improve the quality of life. On the other hand, if we comprehensively analyze the results of concretely examining the difference between the recognition of the existing generation and the future generation through the path model, the recognition that science and technology will influence social needs In the case of existing generations, direct influences on the perception of quality of life can be seen as influenced by the director, in the case of future generations mediated recognition of science and technology sustainability.

다문화사회 전문가의 육성이 이루어진지 10년이 지나고 있는 현시점에서, 그간의 운영 현황 및 한계를 확인하고 개선을 위한 자료를 확인하기 위한 목적에서 본 연구가 수행되었다. 현재 다문화사회 전문가 교육과정이 사회에서 요구하고 있는 역할을 수행하기 충분하지 못하다는 문제가 제기되고 있으며, 자격을 갖춘 전문가가 활동할 수 있는 영역이 제한되고 있는 현실에서, 교육 과정을 개편을 위한 초석을 마련하기 위한 본 연구가 의미를 갖는다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 다문화사회 전문가 제도의 개선 필요성을 제기하고, 이를 개선하기 위한 기본적인 자료로서 필요한 역량요인을 규명하기 위한 연구로 이루어졌다. 다문화사회 전문가 및 교육생의 인식을 수집하여 필요한 역량을 탐색적으로 분석한 결과 9개의 역량요인이 도출되었다. 다문화 실천기술, 문화 다양성, 정책전문성, 한국역사 이해, 법률전문성, 현장상담 역량, 한국사회 이해, 타문화 이해, 연구역량이 도출되었다. 즉, 다문화에 대한 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 역량과 우리나라의 생활에 필요한 각종 제도 및 지식에 대한 전문성을 필요로 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과와 함의를 바탕으로 추후 다문화사회 전문가 교육과정 개편에 대한 논의가 활발히 이루어지길 바란다. The purpose of this study is to identify past operating conditions and limitations of multicultural society experts and to produce data for improvement. As a result of the diagnosis, it was confirmed that the curriculum of multicultural society experts is not enough to fulfill the roles required in society. The reality that limited scope of qualified professionals is limited also makes it difficult to operate the multicultural social expert system properly. As a result of collecting and analyzing the perceptions of multicultural social professionals and students, the following competence factors were derived: multicultural practice skill, understanding cultural diversity, policy expertise, understanding of Korean history, legal expertise, field counseling competence, understanding of Korean society, understanding of other cultures, research capability. It is hoped that discussions on the reorganization of curriculum for multicultural society experts will be made actively using the results and implications of this study.
Enhanced light emission of nano-patterned GaN via block copolymer thin films

We demonstrate that the nanoscopic block copolymer patterns on GaN can enhance light extraction efficiency of GaN-based light emitting diodes. Nanoporous patterns were fabricated on a bare GaN substrate via self-assembly of poly(styrene-b-methyl methacrylate) block copolymers from which PMMA microdomains were selectively removed later on. A bare GaN surface was treated with a photo-crosslinkable thin layer of poly(styrene-r-methyl methacrylate) random copolymers to tune the cylindrical microdomain orientations. The nanoporous block copolymer thin film was controlled to be thicker than its typical repeat period in bulk by incorporating PMMA homopolymer into block copolymer. Consequently, the light extraction efficiency in photoluminescence spectra could be tuned with the thickness of nanopatterned thin film on GaN.

<P>A newly developed hybrid ink of binary CuS nanoparticles and In precursor solution was prepared to form a CuInSe<SUB>2</SUB> (CIS) thin film. Previously, we have shown a CIS thin film solar cell with 4.19% conversion efficiency using the hybrid ink of Cu<SUB>2−<I>x</I></SUB>Se nanoparticles and In precursor. Deposition using hybrid ink offers advantages including the provision of stress-relief and crack-deflection centers by pure material based nanoparticles and effective binding with the nanoparticles by precursor solutions without other organic binders. Here, we demonstrate volume expansion of a thin film for forming a well-grown absorber layer using CuS nanoparticles instead of Cu<SUB>2−<I>x</I></SUB>Se. Binary nanoparticles were synthesized by a low temperature colloidal process and a precursor solution was prepared by using a non-toxic chelating agent to disperse the In component stably. The band gap of the CIS thin film was 1.08 eV, as determined by external quantum efficiency (EQE) measurements, and the reproducible conversion efficiency of the fabricated device was 6.23%.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>A CIS thin film was produced with a newly developed hybrid ink of synthesized binary CuS nanoparticles and an In precursor solution in a non-vacuum system. Practical Application of Life-Cycle Cost Effective Design and Rehabilitation of Bridges

Recently, the demand on the practical application of life-cycle cost effective design and rehabilitation of bridges is rapidly growing in civil engineering practice. However, in spite of impressive progress in the researches on the Life-Cycle Cost (LCC), the most researches have only focused on the theoretical point but did not fully incorporate the critical issues for the practical implementation. Thus, this paper is intended to suggest a systemic integrated approach to the practical application of various LCC methodologies for the design and rehabilitation of bridges. For that purpose, hierarchical definitions of LCC models are presented to categorize the approach of LCC assessment applicable for the practical implementation. And then, an integrated LCC system model is introduced with an emphasis on data uncertainty assessment and user-friendly knowledge-based database for its successful implementation. Finally, in order to demonstrate the LCC effectiveness for design and rehabilitation of real bridge structures, illustrative examples are discussed.
Clinical Trial of Erythropoietin in Young Children With Cerebral Palsy

<P>This study was conducted to assess the safety and efficacy of recombinant human erythropoietin in young children with cerebral palsy aged between 6 months and 3 years. All participants received subcutaneous recombinant human erythropoietin and 8 weeks of rehabilitation therapy. Adverse events, changes of vital signs, and hematologic tests were monitored up to 8 weeks postinjection. Functional measures of development at 4 and 8 weeks postinjection were compared with baseline values, and improvements were compared with those of an age-matched historical control group. Nine participants completed the trial from June 2012 to February 2015. No adverse events were related to recombinant human erythropoietin. Erythropoiesis was noted, although within normal range. Functional improvements were observed in all participants (P < .05) and increases in motor function were higher in recombinant human erythropoietin group than the control group. Accordingly, recombinant human erythropoietin administration was safe without any significant adverse events and improved the functional outcomes in young children with cerebral palsy.</P>
An HBT Saturated Power Amplifier With Minimized Knee Effect for Envelope Tracking Operation

<P>In this letter, a highly efficient saturated power amplifier (PA) based on a heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) is employed to maximize the efficiency of an envelope tracking (ET) PA. In this PA, output voltage waveform of the PA is shaped as a half-sinusoidal voltage waveform peaked by a second harmonic. The knee voltage effect is minimized in this voltage waveform due to the large fundamental voltage for a given supply voltage, which is very important for an ET PA with a low average supply voltage. Based on the saturated PA, the ET PA is tested at 1.85 GHz using a long term evolution signal. The ET PA delivers a power-added efficiency of 46.5%, an E- UTRAACLR of -33.4 dBc, and an error vector magnitude of 3.0% at an average output power of 27 dBm.</P>
