Novel Backprojection Method for Monocular Head Pose Estimation

Kun Ju,Bok-Suk Shin,Reinhard Klette 한국지능시스템학회 2013 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.13 No.1

Estimating a driver’s head pose is an important task in driver-assistance systems because it can provide information about where a driver is looking, thereby giving useful cues about the status of the driver (i.e., paying proper attention, fatigued, etc.). This study proposes a system for estimating the head pose using monocular images, which includes a novel use of backprojection. The system can use a single image to estimate a driver’s head pose at a particular time stamp, or an image sequence to support the analysis of a driver’s status. Using our proposed system, we compared two previous pose estimation approaches. We introduced an approach for providing ground-truth reference data using a mannequin model. Our experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system provides relatively accurate estimations of the yaw, tilt, and roll angle. The results also show that one of the pose estimation approaches (perspective-n-point, PnP) provided a consistently better estimate compared to the other (pose from orthography and scaling with iterations, POSIT) using our proposed system.

DEVELOPMENT OF UREA MOLASSES BLOCK AND ITS FIELD APPLICATION IN INDIA (A REVIEW)

Kunju, P.J. George Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 1988 Animal Bioscience Vol.1 No.4

The base of Indian milk production is the millions of nondescript cows and buffaloes in rural areas, fed mainly on crop residues and agro-industrial wastes. The mainstay of the feeding system is straws and stovers. Therefore the approach to increase the fibrous residues utilisation for animal production was ideal and useful. The methods available for the above purpose were not found acceptable in rural areas owing to certain practical problems. The development of urea molasses block was, therefore aimed at solving the practical field problems. Urea Molasses Block has been developed as a feed supplement that can bring forth an effect of rumen manipulation thereby increase the conversion rate of feeds. The formula and process technology were thus developed. Before starting the mass production and popularisation the product was tested in controlled condition in farms and also in villages. Encouraged with the results the feed is now commercially manufactured under Indian Patent No. 156047.

FEEDING OF BYPASS PROTEIN TO CROSS BRED COWS IN INDIA ON STRAW BASED RATION

Kunju, P.J.G.,Mehta, A.K.,Garg, M.R. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 1992 Animal Bioscience Vol.5 No.1

Feeding of bypass protein to lactating animals have been suggested by many research scientists as a way to increase the nutrient supply at the intestinal level thereby enhance animal production in ruminant animals. A feeding trial with a formulated bypass protein feed on straw based ration was carried out by using lactating cross bred cows at the stage of 4th month of their lactation. Bypass protein feed was fed at 5 different levels. Urea Molasses Block was used as a nitrogen source to the rumen microflora. In order to reduce the heat increment straw intake was restricted to all the animals. Urea Molasses Block intake was noticed varying in proportion with the bypass protein feed intake. Milk production was observed increasing in accordance with the level of bypass protein feed intake. However, the maximum response was noticed in cows that were fed 3 kg bypass protein feed. The nutrient availability at this stage was below the NRC (1988) requirements. Other remarkable finding was that the cows maintained the persistency of milk production even after 3rd month of lactation when the ambient temperature was $40^{\circ}C$.

Imaging Spectrum of Augmented Breast and Post-Mastectomy Reconstructed Breast with Common Complications: A Pictorial Essay

Krisnan Renuka Nair Kunju,Chotai Niketa 대한영상의학회 2021 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.22 No.7

Breast augmentation is becoming more common, be it for cosmetic reasons or post-mastectomy. Multiple articles in the literature describe the imaging findings of various types of cosmetic breast augmentation. Some articles describe imaging findings for different types of post-mastectomy reconstructions. This essay aims to serve as a comprehensive reference for the multimodality imaging of various types of breast augmentations in native breast and post-mastectomy reconstructions. Familiarity with these findings will facilitate the detection of complications and new or recurrent breast malignancies in patients. With the extensive illustrations provided in this essay on normal and abnormal imaging findings of augmented breasts, readers will receive exposure that will facilitate effective practice.

Single Subcutaneous Dose Toxicity of Polycan®, a β-Glucan Originated from Aureobasidium in Mice

        Jaehyun Lee,Kunju Yang,Hyundong Shin,Bokryeon Park,Changwoo Son,Heejeong Jang,Dongchan Park,Hyeung-Sik Lee,Saekwang Ku 한국실험동물학회 2005 Laboratory Animal Research Vol.21 No.4

This study was conducted to obtain the acute information of the subcutaneous dose toxicity of Polycan-originated from Aureobasidium pullulans SM-2001 (half of the dry material is β-1,3/1,6-glucans), having various pharmacological effects, in mice. Test articles were once subcutaneously administered to mice at dose levels of 250, 125 and 62.5 ㎎/㎏. The mortality and changes on body weight, clinical signs and gross observation were monitored during 14 days after dosing. As the results, we could not find mortalities, clinical signs and changes in the body weight except for residuals of test articles and related skin ulcer at injection sites. Hypertrophy of spleen related to the immune modulate effect of Polycan was dose-dependently detected in all dosing groups tested as gross findings, and hyperplasia of lymphatic follicles and increase of number of megakaryocytes in red pulps are dose-dependently observed at histopathological observation of spleen. In addition, infiltration of inflammatory cells in residuals of test articles in injection site were dose dependently detected with skin ulcer in some animals restricted to these injection sites. The skin ulcer detected in the present study was considered to be biting wounds. The results obtained in this study suggest that the Polycan have no systemic toxicity in mice and is therefore likely to be safe for clinical use. The median lethal dose (LD₅₀) and approximate lethal dose in mice after single subcutaneous dose of Polycan were considered over 250 ㎎/㎏, the highest dissolved concentration in distilled water respectively.

      • MPEG 비디오 스트림에서의 카메라 동작 추출

        이상혁(Sanghyuk Lee),한근주(Kunju Han),낭종호(Jongho Nang) 한국정보과학회 1999 한국정보과학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.26 No.1B
