      • 柔道와 씨름選手의 等速性 脚筋力 特性에 關한 比較分析

        The purpose of this study was to compare muscular strengths, muscular powers and muscular endurances between judoists and players of Korean wrestling(ssireum). Cybex 6000 was used to measure these isometric muscular capabilities. The subjects were 12 elite male judoists and 12 male professional players of Korean wrestling. The muscular strength was measured by averaging the peak torques exerted at the knee joint as the knee was flexed and extended three times at the speeds of 60 deg/sec and 240 deg/sec. The muscular power and muscular endurance were measured by 25 times repetitions of the knee flexion and extension at the speed of 180 deg/sec. The results of the study are as follows; 1. The isometric extension strengths of the knee joint of judoists and players of Korean wrestling at the speed of 60 deg/sec were 237.7 ±54.43Nm and 299.3 ±28.47Nm, respectively. The respective isometric flexion strengths were 141.2 ±33.36Nm and 164.3 ±27.60Nm. The isometric extension strengths of the knee joint of judoists and players of Korean wrestling at the speed of 240 deg/sec were 132.66 ±33.13Nm and 157.25 ±25.30Nm, respectively. The respective isometric flexion strengths were 99.3 ±26.07Nm and 108.0 ±17.64Nm. The isometric muscular strengths of the Korean wrestlers group at the both speeds were significantly higher in the knee extension than those of the judoists group, but not significantly different in the knee flexion. 2. The isometric extension muscular powers of the knee joint of judoists and players of Korean wrestling were 289.7 ±74.47watts and 386.1 ±50.48watts, respectively. The isometric muscular power of the Korean wrestlers group was significantly higher in the knee extension than that of judoists group, but not significantly higher in the knee flexion. 3. In the evaluation of the isometric muscular endurance, the total works exerted during 25 times repetitions of knee flexion and extension at the speed of 180 deg/sec were 3609.8 ±23joules in the Korean wrestlers group and 2762.0 ±608.12joules in the judoists group. Its value of the Korean wrestlers group was significantly higher than that of the judoists group. The ratios of muscular endurance in the judoists and Korean wrestlers group were 60.7 ±12.05% and 68.8 ±9.75 in the knee extension and 54.7 ±11.72% and 50.4 ±12.94% in the knee flexion, respectively.

      • 산화적 스트레스에 대한 Bacillus subtilis의 thiol peroxidase 유전자의 생리적인 기능

        산화적 스트레스에 대한 Bacillus subtilis의 thiol peroxidase 유전자의 생리적인 기능을 연구하기 위해 thiol peroxidase 유전자의 기능이 손상된 녹아웃 돌연변이주를 상동성 재조합에 의해 제조하였다. 호기적 조건에서 배양할 때 야생형과 녹아웃 돌연변이주 사이에는 성장속도에서 차이를 관찰할 수 없었다. 그러나 paraquat 처리할 때와는 달리 H_(2)O_(2)와 cumene hydroperoxide (CHP)에 의한 산화적 스트레스에 대해 역할을 하고 있음을 시사하는 결과이다. In order to investigate the physiological role of thiol perixidase in Bacillus subtilis, a thiol peroxidase (btpx) knock-out mutant was generated by homologous recombination. The growth of btpx knock-out mutant in aerobic condition showed a similar pattern with that of wild type of Bacillus subtilis 168. But btpx knock-out mutant showed a retarded growth in response to oxidative stress such as H_(2)O_(2) cumene hydroperoxide (CHP) treatments.

      • Dimecron 중독증 환자 6예

        The authors experienced 6 cases of Dimecron intoxication, an organophosphate, that required mechanical ventilator treatment. Among 6 cases, 4 cases were intoxication due to suicidal attempt and 2 cases were due to accidental exposure. Among 4 cases of intoxication due to suicidal attempt, only one patient recovered even after aggressive treatments using gastric lavage, mechanical ventilation, atropine and PAM(pralidoxime). Two cases of intoxications due to accidental exposure, 1 case needed mechanical ventilation. Both cases were recovered without any sequele, however. Organophosphate, especially Dimecron, showed high rates of resfiratory muscle paralysis and mechanical ventilator support. The mortality rate of organophosphate agents can be decreased by education, wearing protectors, and aggressive mechanical ventilator treatment when respiratory failure develops.

        횡 요천골부 후피부판 (Transverse Lumbosacral Back Flap)을 이용한 천골부 욕창 치험례

        Pressure sore is an area of ischemic tissue loss resulting from prolonged or often repeated pressure, usually over a bony prominence of body. Recently, the prevalence of pressure sore is major clinical problem, due to the increased number of patients with spinal cord injuries or longterm comatous patient after traffic, industrial accidents. The surgical principles in the treatment of pressure sores are total excision of the ulcer, scartissue, bursae, complete removal of all infected bone with recontouring of bony prominences to alleviate discrete pressure points and resurfacing and padding of the defects with healthy and well vascularized tissues. The sacral sore is the most common site for the development of pressure sore in Korea. We had experienced 14 cases who had received surgical treatments for sacral sores with transverse lumbosacral back flap. We obtained the following conclusions. Advantages 1)It is quick and easy procedure 2)The flap elevation itself is relatively bloodless 3)The donor defect is in a non-weight-bearing area 4)Muscle is not sacrified(possibly of importance in the ambulatory patient) 5)Surgical options are preserved in cases of recurrence(the flap itself may be reelevated and inset in some cases of recurrence) Disadvantages 1)It is lacking the bulky padding afforded by alternative musculocutaneous flaps 2)The vascularity of the flap tip is empirically less dependable than that of a musculocutaneous flap 3)The donor defect is large, cannot usually be closed primarily, and may prove of cosmetic concern

      • 한국 시판 막걸리의 항고혈압 활성 효과

        We investigated antihypertensive angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity for 60 different kinds of Makgeolli which are commercially available on market in Korea. As a result, we found R-14 Makgeolli showed superior ACE inhibitory activity among those 60 samples using the standard assay system. To prove the antihypertensive action of selected Makgeolli in animal, we fractionated R-14 Makgeolli based on the molecular weight using Centricon (cut-off less than 5 kDa). When we administrated that small-sized fraction as well as commercial antihypertension drug, Captopril to spontaneous hypertensive rats (SHR) at a dosage of 600mg/kg and 100mg/kg, respectively. Both Makgeolli fraction and Captopril lowered the systolic pressure of SHR significantly. When we administrated commercially available intact alcoholic beverages including wine, sake, beer and Makgeolli at a dosage of 20 ml/kg body weight to the normal blood-pressure rats (SD-rat) in order to compare the effectiveness of various alcoholic beverages in antihypertensive action, Makgeolli showed the most significant effects to lower the systolic blood pressure of rats.

        미량 Ni 첨가 Fe-Ni 합금의 고온산화 거동에 관한 연구

        Oxidation behavior of Fe-Ni alloys added by small amount of Ni was studied, under the exposure to the temperatures up to 1100℃, 1150℃, and 1200℃, respectively. The slope of mass change curve representing an oxidation rate was 1 or 2 up to 20 seconds and decreased to 1/2 after 20 seconds in a parabolic shape. The temperature of the initial stage of oxidation increased more quickly at the furnace inside than at the surface of the specimen, and its behavior was reversed due to oxidation heat after 20 seconds later. Oxide layer was mainly composed of FeO. And particle of Fe_3O_4 and Fe_2O_3 was distributed in FeO layer. The order of the composition ratio for the oxide was Fe_2O_3,·Fe_3O_4,·FeO at the oxide surface, FeO,·Fe_3O_4,·Fe_2O_3 at the internal oxide, and FeO,·Fe_3O_4,·Fe_2O_3 at the surface of metal after stripping oxide layer.

      • 쓰가루 單一品種 果園을 위한 꽃사과 受粉樹 利用에 관한 硏究

        Crabapples potentially useful as pollenizers in single-cultivar 'Tsugaru' orchard was evaluated for their flowering times and pollen germination(%). Their efficiency in the setting of fruits following controlled pollinations on 'Tsugaru' at private orchard in Sang ju was also examined. The obtained results are as follows, (1) Flowering times of Malus spp. 'Almey' and Malus spp. `Pioneer X' were from April 30 to May 1 and had the same flowering time of 'Tsugaru'. (2) Pollen germination(%) of crabapples using as pollenizers of 'Tsugaru' was over 90% of Malus spp. 'Almey' and Malus spp. 'Pioneer X' respectively. (3) Percentages of fruit setting in 'Tsugaru' crossed with Malus spp. 'Almey' and with 'Pioneer X' showed 99.3% respectively. (4) There was no statistically significant difference in the fruit skin color, fruit diameter (cm), fruit. height (cm), fruitt index, fruit weight(g), soluble solid(˚BX), acidity(pH), fruit hardness (kg/㎠), and seed numbers of 'Tsugaru' crossed with 'Pioneer X' and 'Almey'. (5) On the bases of flowering times, pollen germination, efficient fruit set, promising of fruit skin solour, and no statistically significant difference in fruit quality, Malus spp. 'Almey' and 'Pioneer X' are promising as pollenizers for single-cultivar 'Tsugaru' orchard.

      • 비병원성 야생효모들로부터 생산된 항산화물질과 항통풍성 Xanthin 산화효소 저해물질의 부분정제 및 특성

        비병원성 Rhodosporidium paludigenum HHGG35-1와 Rhodosporidium diobovatum NMD18-1 균주들이 생산하는 항산화물질과 항통풍성 물질을 산업적으로 응용하기 위하여 먼저 이들 각각의 YPD 배양 상등액을 한외여과를 실시하여 3kDa 이하의 활성물질을 얻은 후 Sephadex G-50으로 여과하여 부분 정제된 항산화물질과 xanthin 산화효소 저해물질을 얻었다. 부분 정제한 항산화물질의 작용 최적 온도와 pH는 각각 30℃, pH 7.0 이었고, xanthin 산화효소 저해물질의 작용 최적 온도와 pH는 각각 15℃, pH 5.0 이었다. The antioxidants of Rhodosporidium paludigenum HHGG35-1 was partially purified by ultrafiltration and Sephadex G-50 filtration and investigated its optimal reaction condition. Optimal reaction temperature and pH of the partial purified antioxidants were 30℃ and pH 7.0. The xanthin oxidase inhibitor from Rhodosporidium diobovatum NMD18-1 was purified partially by enzyme treatment, ultrafiltration and Sephadex G-50 filtration. Optimal reaction temperature and pH of the partial purified xanthin oxidase inhibitor were 15℃ and pH 5.0. Some heavy metal ions and sugars did not affect inhibitory activity of the parial purified xanthin oxidase inhibitor.

      • 야생효모, Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2로부터 급성 폐손상 억제물질인 호중구 elastase 저해물질 생산 및 생산균주의 균학적 특성

        This study was performed to produce acute lung injury-preventing neutrophil elastase inhibitor from non-pathogenic wild yeast and further determine enzyme activity and physiological functionality of the potent wild yeast. Culture supernatants and cell-free extracts of one hundred twenty five non-pathogenic wild yeast strains were prepared and their neutrophil elastase inhibitory activities were measured. The neutrophil elastase inhibitory activity of the cell-free extract from Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2 showed the highest inhibitory activity of 38.4% and its elastase inhibitor was maximally produced(IC50,3.2㎎) when Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO 9-2 was cultured in pH 7.0 of malt extract medium at 20℃ for 24h. Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2 was oval shape and did not form ascospore and pseudomycelium. The HO9-2 strain grew well in YPD and YM media and was halophilic yeast which grew well in YPD medium containing 15% NaCl. Cell-free extract of the HO9-2 strain were showed high 17.2U of glucoamylase activity and anti-diabetic α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of 87.5%. 본 연구는 급성 폐손상 예방(또는 치료)의약 소재를 개발하기 위하여 비병원성 야생효모들의 elastase 저해활성을 측정하여 우수 균주를 선발하였다. 또한 선발균주의 elastase 저해제 생산 조건을 최적화 하였으며 선발균주의 미생물학적 특성 등을 조사하였다. 비병원성 야생효모인 Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2의 무세포추출물이 38.4%의 호중구 elastase 저해활성을 보여 우수균주로 선발하였고 이 균을 pH 7.0 의 malt extract 배지에서 20℃로 24시간 배양하였을 때 최고의 elastase 저해활성(IC50, 3.2mg)을 보였다. 또한 이 균은 난형으로 포자와 의균사를 형성하지 않았고 YPD와 YM배지에서 생육이 양호하였고 NaCl을 15% 함유한 배지에서도 생육하는 호염성 효모이었다.

      • 비병원성 야생효모 Rhodosporidium toruloides HGG35-2와 호중구 elastase 저해제 생성효모인 Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2로부터 Killer toxin 생산

        항진균 바이오의약의 소재인 killer toxin을 비병원성 야생효모로부터 생산하기 위하여 25개 비병원성 색소 생성 효모들의 killer toxin 활성을 측정하여 우수균주로 Rhodosporidium toruloides HGG35-2와 Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2을 선발하였다. 이들 killer toxin 생성균주들의 효모 감수성 균주들에 대하여 killer 활성을 측정한 결과 시판 포도주등의 알콜발효로 이용되고 있는 Saccharomyces cerevisiae (La Parisienne®)에 대하여 우수한 항진균활성을 보였다. Killer toxin production of non-pathogenic wild yeasts, Rhodosporidium toruloides HGG35-2 and Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2 were investigated. Rhodosporidium toruloides HGG35-2 showed strong killer activity against pathogenic yeast, Candida guilliermondii AHP28-1 and commercial alcohol fermentation yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae(La Parisienne). Wickerhamomyces anomalus HO9-2 also showed killer activity against Rhodotorula nothofagi JSC10-1 and commercial alcohol fermentation yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae(La Parisienne®).
