With accelerated soil erosions at the watershed, many computer models have been develoed and utilized for various purposes in recent years. The Universal Soil Loss Equation(USLE) and USLE-based soil erosion and sediment modelling system have been developed and tested because of its ease-of-use and readily available data sets in many countries. The Sediment Assessment Tool for Effective Erosion Control(SATEEC) system was one of these models. In this study, The SATEEC system ver 2.1 and ArcGIS Tool were used to evaluate effects of topographic factors on soil erosion estimation by adjusting values by ±50%. With these changes, there was 24.8% change in estimated soil erosion values. However, the R2 and the Nash-sutcliffe coefficient were 0.688 and 0.642, respectively. Similar trends were also found for estimated sediment yield values. These results indicated that the soil erosion values at the field levels should be evaluated first prior to its application at the watershed scale with the SATEEC system.
담배(Nicotiana tabacum L.) 葯培養에 依한 半數體 倍加系統의 特性

The field evaluation were conducted on dihaploid progenies derived from anther culture of F₁ plants of Va115×Vam-Hicks and Vall5×SC72 (Nicotiana tabacum L.). Dihaploids showed reduced vigor and growth when compared with midparent value but had increased number of harvested leaves and total alkaloids, and later the days to flower. The range of dihaploid characters were deviated more than that of their parents. There were two unexpected genotypic correlations, that is, the genotypic correlations between yield and total alkaloids of the dihaploid progenies of two combinations used were not significantly different from zero, and days to flower and total alkaloids of the dihaploid progenies of one combination was correlated positively.
보일러용 3way valve 내장형 rotoless 전자식 순환펌프 시스템의 개발

본 연구는 가정용 가스 보일러 순환펌프의 문제점 보완은 물론 펌프 외부에 설치되어 있는 3way valve를 하우징 내부에 부착한 3way valve 내장형 펌프 하우징을 개발하기 위한것이다. 기존 하우징이 부착된 canned type 순환펌프의 실험결과를 근거로 3way valve 내장형 하우징을 설계 제작하였으며 신형 하우징이 부착된 canned type 순환펌프의 성능실험 및 보일러 전체 시스템에서의 순환펌프 성능 실험을 실시하였다.<br/> 실험 결과 신형 3way valve 내장형 하우징을 부착할 경우 펌프의 총양정은 평균 1~1.7m, 펌프효율은 약 25%정도 높게 나타났으며 축동력은 약 4W 감소하였다. 특히 하우징의 중량은 1.4kg에서 0.4kg으로 줄어들었고 제작비는 개당 약 5000원정도 절감할수 있었으며 조립공정의 단축으로 생산비용은 보일러 1대당 약 2만원 정도의 원가절감을 예상할수 있다. The purpose of research is to complement the circulating pump of gas boiler for the domestic and to develop a pump housing with internal three way valve: Housing and three way valve have been apart in the existing pump system.<br/> Based on the experimental result on can-typed circulating pump with existing housing, a new housing with internal three way valve was designed and manufactured. The performance of can-typed circulating pump with the new housing, and the performance of circulating pump of boiler system were tested. As a result on the test, the new housing with internal three way valve has been excellent in respect of pump performance, weight and manufacturing cost. So it is expected to have an effect of import substitution.

Multiferroic HoMnO₃ single crystal was prepared using 4-point focused floating zone furnace, and polycrystalline HoMn_(1-x)(57)^Fe_xO₃ (x=0.00, 0.01, 0.02, 0.05) powders have been prepared by solid state reaction. Their magnetic and crystallographic properties are studied using MPMS, PPMS, and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The crystal structure is found to be a hexagonal and a magnetic easy-axis is (110) direction. As the external applied magnetic field increases, temperature of the dielectric constant anomaly is decreased. HoMn_(0.95)(57)^Fe_(0.05)O₃ shows huge quadrupole splitting value from the Mossbauer spectra.
