Voice Similarities between Brothers

This paper aims to provide a guideline for modelling speaker indentification and speaker verification by comparing voice similarities between brothers. Five pairs ofbrothers who are believed to have similar voices participated in this experiment. Before conducted in the experiment, perceptual tests were measured if the voices were similar between brothers. Tfhe words were measured in both isolation and context, and the subjects were asked to read five times with about three seconds of interval between readings. Recordings were made at natural speed in a quiet room. The data were analyzed in pitch and formant frequencies using CSL (Computerized Speech Lab), PCQuirer and MDVP(multi-dimensional Voice Program). It was found that data of the inital vowels are much more similar and homogeneous than those of vowels in other position. Tfhe acoustic data showed that voice similarities are strikingly high in both pitch and formant frequencies. It was also found that the correlation coefficient was not significant betgween parameters above.
A SPECTRAL SUBTRACTION USING PHONEMIC AND AUDITORY PROPERTIES

this paper proposes a speech state-dependent spectral subraction method to regulate the blind spectral subraction for improved enhancement. In the proposed method, a modified subtraction rule is applied over the speech selectively contingent to the speech state being voiced or unvoiced, in an effort to incorporate the acoustic characteristics of phonmes. In particula, the objective of the proposed method is to remedy the subtraction induced signal distortion attained by two stat-dependent procedures, spectrum sharpening and minmim spectral bound. In order to remove the residual noise, the proposed method employs a procedure utilizing the masking effect. Proposed spectral subtraction including state-dependent subraction and residual noise reduction using the masking threshold shows effectiveness in compensation of spectral distortion in the unvoiced region and residual noise reductin. To understand modern society, I think we should know both public records and corporate records. However, the business archives are in private sector for their great importance of current value. The corporates expect cost-benefit effect, management of the business archives are relatively inferior. In this article, I would study the archival management in the POSCO, a similar public corporation, through the archival theory and the research papers for the business archives management in the United States. I examined the POSCO's records category and management department to prescribe in the POSCO's related rules. And I map out organizational status of the POSCO Museum in the POSCO I examined activities of the POSCO's archives acquisition method about the records which left out the records management rules, unavoidably scattered and lost, or the records related the POSCO are created outer the corporation. I made up arrangement scheme of the archives with it and gave the code to mix the character and the figure. In accordance with the arrangement scheme of archives, I extracted the description elements of organizational structure and function and of real records. The former is guide level and the latter is in detail. The POSCO Museum used the business archives to publish the corporate history and to exhibit, but in another corporation, usage of the business archives was various, it is contacted current activities of the corporation. Through the case study, the archivist in the corporate archives developed the contemporary values to use the archives of the corporation. And I presented the potential of the POSCO's Museum to become corporate archives in the POSCO.
On Effective Dual-Channel Noise Reduction for Speech Recognition in Car Environment

This paper concerns an effective dual-channel noise reduction method to increase the performance of speech recognition in a car environment. While various single channel methods have already been developed and dual-channel methods have been studied somewhat, their effectiveness in real environments, such as in cars, has not yet been formally proven in terms of achieving acceptable performance level. Our aim is to remedy the low performance of the single and dual-channel noise reduction methods. This paper proposes an effective dual-channel noise reduction method based on a high-pass filter and front-end processing of the eigendecomposition method. We experimented with a real multi-channel car database and compared the results with respect to the microphones arrangements. From the analysis and results, we show that the enhanced eigendecomposition method combined with high-pass filter indeed significantly improve the speech recognition performance under a dual-channel environment.
잡음 첨가된 화자 모델 구성에 의한 잡음 환경의 효과적인 화자확인

본 논문에서는 다수의 화자 모델을 구성함으로써 잡음에 강인한 화자확인 방법을 제안한다. Non-stationary한 잡음을 가진 입력음성의 SNR을 측정하는 것은 어렵기 때문에, 각 화자에 대해 잡음이 없을 때의 화자모델에 여러 SNR에 대한 잡음 모델을 결합시킴으로써 여러 개의 잡음 첨가된 화자 모델을 구성한다. 그리고, 화자확인에서는 이렇게 구한 각 모델에 대한 입력 음성의 likelihood를 각각 구해 그중 가장 큰 likelihood만을 선택한다. 이 값을 이용하여 화자확인을 수행한다. 실험 결과, 제안한 방법은 입력음성의 SNR을 모르는 잡음환경에서 일반적으로 하나의 모델을 사용하는 것보다 훨씬 좋은 성능을 보였다.
