Magnetic and Transport Properties of a New Caged Compound PrOs2Zn20
K. Wakiya,N. Nagasawa,K. T. Matsumoto,T. Onimaru,K. Umeo,T. Takabatake 한국물리학회 2013 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.62 No.12
The magnetic and transport properties of a Pr-encaged compound PrOs2Zn20 have been studiedby the electrical resistivity (T), magnetic susceptibility ρ(T), and specific heat C(T) measurementsdown to 2 K. The (T) and the C(T) show distinct anomalies at Ts = 87 K, which resemble theanomalies in the isostructural and isoelectronic compound PrRu2Zn20 with the structural phasetransition at Ts = 138 K. Above 50 K, the ρ(T) follows the Curie-Weiss law with the effectivemagnetic moment of 3.64 µB/f.u., which indicates the trivalent state of the Pr ion. The saturatedbehavior of ρ(T) below 5 K indicates the Van-Vleck paramagnetic state. Hence, the Pr3+ ion fallsin a nonmagnetic ground state under the crystalline electric field.
INVESTIGATION ON FERROMAGNETIC Mn₁-XCOXPt₃ ORDERED ALLOYS
T.Kaneko,H. Fujimori,H.Yoshida,K.Watanabe,S.Abe,M.Matsumoto,T.Yoshida,T.Kanomata 한국자기학회 1995 韓國磁氣學會誌 Vol.5 No.5
The magnetization of Mn_(1-X)Co_XPt₃ ordered alloys was measured at various temperatures and the pressure effect on Tc for X=0.25, 0.5 and 0.6 was examined. The X dependence of Tc determined by Arott plot has a minimum near X=0.6. The field-cooling effect measurement for X=0.5 shows a reentrant spin glass behavior. It is found that there is a concentration showing no pressure dependence of Tc between X=0.25 and 0.5. These magnetic properties are discussed with a rigid band model.

We have studied the circularly polarized photoluminescence (PL) and reflectance properties of a series of ZnSe/ZnCdSe/ZnSe/ZnMnSe single quantum wells (SQWs) and ZnSe/ZnCdSe/ ZnSe/ZnCdMnSe /ZnSe coupled double quantum wells (DQWs). The degree of circular polarization of the exciton luminescence from the ZnCdSe non-magnetic semiconductor (NMS) well was studied as a function of the spacer layer thickness and the exciton energies in the NMS and the diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) regions. The polarization degree became larger as the spacer thickness became smaller. The polarization also depended on the excito n energies in the NMS and the DMS regions and became larger as the exciton energy in the nCdSe well became closer to that in the DMS layer or the DMS well.
A Two-Phase High Step Down Coupled-Inductor Converter for Next Generation Low Voltage CPU
K. Matsumoto,K. Nishijima,T. Sato,T. Nabeshima 전력전자학회 2011 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2011 No.5
In this paper, a novel two-phase high step down coupled-inductor converter for next generation low voltage CPU is proposed. This converter has a very high step down characteristic as Vo/Vi = D/4. The switching loss and noise of all switching elements are sufficiently reduced because the drain-source voltages at switching periods are reduced to a quarter of the input source voltage. Low withstand voltage MOSFETs with low on resistance and low Qg(total gate charge) characteristics are possible to use for the all switching elements because the maximum voltage stresses of the main switches and the synchronous rectifier switches are reduced to a half and a quarter of the input source voltage respectively. Further, the branch currents flowed through the paralleled converters are automatically and mostly balanced without the current detection and balance control. The above fine characteristics are simply achieved with three additional capacitors.

Comparisons of properties between skeletal ryanodine receptor 1 (sRyR1)-heterozygous-mutated and normal types of meat were carried out in pigs using PSE (pale, soft and exudative) meat found during the butchering process. All samples considered to be PSE meat showed irregular running and disorder of the muscle fibers and a wider inter-fiber space upon light microscopic observation. Electron microscopy revealed disintegration, twisting, and disorder of the myofibril arrangement and elimination of the Z line in PSE meat, compared with normal meat. Meat property tests demonstrated greater decreases in water holding capacity, moisture and sarcoplasmic protein, and higher $L^*$ values for the meat color index in PSE meat than in normal meat, but there were no differences in these factors between genetically normal and sRyR1-heterozygous PSE meat. On the other hand, higher $a^*$ and $b^*$ values were observed in sRyR1-heterozygous than in normal PSE meat, and similar alterations to the a* value were observed in terms of the amount of myoglobin and density of the 17-kDa protein band, corresponding to the molecular mass of myoglobin, on SDS-PAGE gels. These results suggest that sRyR1-heterozygous PSE pork contains much more myoglobin than genetically normal PSE meat.
