End gas temperatures were measured by CARS(Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy) technique in a constant volume combustion chamber. The temperatures of unburned and burned gas for premixed propane-air flame were measured for different initial temperature conditions. The measured temperature profiles were compared with predicted results of simulation performed using a 2-zone flame propagation model. The measured temperatures of the unbumed gas were distinguished from that of the burned at the flame sheet. The unbumed gas temperatures varied between 400 K and 600 K and the standard deviation of 10 measurements at each measuring time was about ±40 K. The predicted results of simulation confirmed the measured temperatures in each zone.<br/>

<P>The molecular assembly of p-iodo-phenyl octadecyl ether (I-POE), p-iodo-phenyl docosyl ether (I-PDE) and a binary mixture of these two molecules on graphite has been studied using a scanning tunneling microscope. Each molecular system self-assembles on the graphite surface to form a stable monolayer. For the binary system, the I-POE and I-PDE molecules do not mix on the surface, preferring instead to form isolated monolayer domains. Here, the I-POE molecules are preferentially adsorbed on the graphite surface, due to the effects of alkyl chain length and the functional group on the monolayer structure.</P>

Authors presented a statistical observation and brief reviews of 99 cases of abdominal injuries who were admitted to St Paul's hospital, Catholic Medical Center, during the period from Jan 1963 to May 1967. Among the 99 patients of abdominal trauma, non-penetrating wounds were 84 cases (84.8%) and penetrating wounds 15 cases (15.2%). In 60 patients(60. 6 %) the cause of trauma was car accident. Kidney was the most common organ of injured (42.5 % ), spleen (26.0 %) and liver (18.1% ). The high frequency of associated injury was spine froceure (18. 1 % ). The common complication after operation for abdominal injuries were wound infection (5.3%), evisceration and pulmonary complication. Treatment for the rupture of abdominal solid organs were also discussed.

The tropane ring system is an important substructure in a number of natural products and synthetic compounds of biological and medicinal importance. As a result of the significance of the tropane ring system, the purpose of this study is the synthesis of anticonvulsant compounds of new structure anticipated anticonvulsant activity. After we first synthesized the various N- substituted 8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-one derivatives. We prepared now 2-substituted nortropinones. 2-Substituted 8-aza- bicyclo [3.2.1]octan-3-ones were obtained from diluted NaOH concentration(0.01N NaOH) in similar method of synthesis of 2,4-disubstituted 8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-ones 23, 24, 25 were respectively synthesized by the reaction of corresponding N-substituted 8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-one with corresponding aldehyde in presence of 5N-NaOH solution in ethanol and dichloromethane at room temperature. Substantially, we tried several experiments to optimize reaction condition. Continuously, the synthesis and anticonvulsant activity evaluation of a new class of 8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-one derivatives are in progress and will be reported in future.
Tropane Spirohydantoin들의 합성 및 구조분석

After we first synthesized the various N-substituted nortropinone derivatives, we prepared new nortropane alkaloids and nortropinone derivatives. Substantially, we tried several experiments to optimize reaction condition. The tropane spirohydantoins 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 were respectively synthesized by the treatment of corresponding N-substituted nortropinone with potassium cyanide and ammonium carbonate.
Nadroparin calcium을 5% 포도당 수액에 희석시의 안정성 연구

Nadroparin is a low-molecular-weight heparin and has been effective in the prophylaxis and treatment of thromboembolism. Nadroparin is usually used for prevention of hepatic venoocclusive disease in SNUCH. Hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD, a common complication of stem cell transplantation) is a result of intensive conditioning by chemo-radio-therapy. The pathogenesis is probably multifactorial, but the key event is endothelial damage, which triggers the coagulation cascade, inducing the deposition of fibrin in the affected venules. Thus, the use of antithrombotic therapy is a logical prophylactic approach to VOD. Since immune function and platelet number is decreased after stem cell transplantation, nadroparin in 5% dextrose solution is continuously infused for 24 hours instead of subcutaneous injection but it is failed to cite data on the stability of nadroparin with diluent. The stability of nadroparin in 5% dextrose solution was studied. Duplicate solutions of 5,700 IU/0.6 ml of nadroparin and 100 ml of 5% dextrose solution were prepared. Samples were taken at 15 minutes, 2 hours, and 24 hours. Inspections for color change and precipitation performed with naked eyes. Samples were evaluated for pharmacologic activity by anti-factor Xa assay according to European Pharmacopoeia 4th. Throughout the 24-hour study period, the nadroparin admixtures were free of color change, precipitates. The pharmacologic activity of nadroparin remained 99.8~100.5% of activity measured immediately preparation. In conclusion, nadroparin 57 IU/ml in 5% dextrose solution based on 50 kg child was stable for up to 24 hours at 15~25°C.

The efficiencies of the fueling system in the KSTAR have been studied for the 2013 experimentalresults. The absolute amount of injected fuel or deuterium has been calibrated in advance of themain plasma experiments. This includes the primary actuator of fueling, i.e., gas puffing (GP)with piezoelectric valves located on mid-plane, and supersonic molecular beam injector (SMBI). In addition, neutral beam injectors (NBIs) and their base facility chamber also contribute to theamount of fuel injection whenever they are operated. Low fueling efficiency combined with particleloss due to wall retention essentially results in poor performance of density feedback control magneticfusion devices such as the KSTAR.
