<P>Traditional Pt counter electrode in quantum-dot-sensitized solar cells suffers from a low electrocatalytic activity and instability due to irreversible surface adsorption of sulfur species incurred while regenerating polysulfide (S<SUB><I>n</I></SUB><SUP>2–</SUP>/S<SUP>2–</SUP>) electrolytes. To overcome such constraints, chemically synthesized Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSn(S<SUB>1–<I>x</I></SUB>Se<SUB><I>x</I></SUB>)<SUB>4</SUB> nanocrystals were evaluated as an alternative to Pt. The resulting chalcogenides exhibited remarkable electrocatalytic activities for reduction of polysulfide (S<SUB><I>n</I></SUB><SUP>2-</SUP>) to sulfide (S<SUP>2–</SUP>), which were dictated by the ratios of S/Se. In this study, a quantum dot sensitized solar cell constructed with Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSn(S<SUB>0.5</SUB>Se<SUB>0.5</SUB>)<SUB>4</SUB> as a counter electrode showed the highest energy conversion efficiency of 3.01%, which was even higher than that using Pt (1.24%). The compositional variations in between Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSnS<SUB>4</SUB> (<I>x</I> = 0) and Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSnSe<SUB>4</SUB> (<I>x</I> = 1) revealed that the solar cell performances were closely related to a difference in electrocatalytic activities for polysulfide reduction governed by the S/Se ratios.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/aamick/2013/aamick.2013.5.issue-3/am302522c/production/images/medium/am-2012-02522c_0007.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/am302522c'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

RGB pixels by microcavity top-emitting organic light-emitting diode (TOLED) is benecial to both minimizing the loss of light andimproving the color purity and the eciency. Based on the multi-emitting layers, white organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) andmicrocavity TOLEDs were prepared. TOLEDs were fabricated using Ag/ITO as the reector and adjusting layer, Al/Ag as semi-trans-cavity and the color of the device have been changed. So we get RGB tricolor devices. The peak wavelengths are 476 nm, 539 nm,601 nm, Commission Internationale d’Eclairage (CIE) coordinates are (0.133,0.201), (0.335,0.567), (0.513,0.360), FWHM are 32 nm,50 nm, 73 nm for blue, green and red, respectively.
Dimethylsulfoxide-soluble Smoking Particles and Nicotine Affect Vascular Contractibility

The aim is to study the effect of dimethylsulfoxide-soluble smoking particles (DSP) and nicotine on the contractility of rat mesenteric artery. The superior mesenteric artery segments were cultured with DSP or nicotine for 24 h. The vascular contractibility was recorded with myograph system. DSP 0.4 mL/L and nicotine 0.48 and 0.96 mg/L shifted the concentrationcontractile curves induced by sarafotoxin 6c, a selective agonist for ETB receptor toward the left with increased Emax. DSP 0.4 mL/L and nicotine 0.96 mg/L shifted ETA receptor-mediated the concentration-contractile curves toward the left with increased Emax. However, nicotine 0.06 mg/L which is the equivalent concentration of nicotine in DSP 0.4 mL/L did not affect the curves and the Emax mediated with ETA receptor and ETB receptor. DSP 0.2 and 0.4 mL/L shifted the concentration-contractile curves induced by noradrenaline toward the right with decreased Emax. Neither did nicotine 0.06 and 0.96 mg/L. Both DSP and nicotine shifted the concentration-contractile curves induced by 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) toward the right parallely. DSP changed the phenotypes towards an increased efficacy of ETA receptor and ETB receptor, and a reduced efficacy of 5-HT receptor and α-adrenocceptor. The effects of DSP on ETB receptor, ETA receptor and α-adrenocceptor were independent of nicotine. The effect on 5-HT receptor was responsible to nicotine.
Access Authentication of Mass Device Connections for MTC in LTE Networks

Machine Type Communication, also called Machine to Machine communication, is one of the next generations of sophisticated techniques for future wireless communications. It is attracting tremendous interest in standardization organizations such as the third Generation Partnership Project. Accommodating data and signaling traffic from massive Machine Type Communication devices is a challenging task to ensure the security of Machine Type Communication applications in Long Term Evolution networks, as the number of Machine Type Communication devices continues to increase. Since each Machine Type Communication device has to implement an independent access authentication procedure specified by the current third Generation Partnership Project standard, it will incur severe signaling congestions in the Long Term Evolution networks when a large number of Machine Type Communication devices simultaneously connect to the network. In this paper, we propose a new access authentication and key agreement scheme based on an aggregate signature to avoid signaling overload in Long Term Evolution network elements. Our scheme can greatly reduce the signal traffic for a multitude of Machine Type Communication devices connected to the network and also provide robust security protection with desirable efficiency. The experimental results and formal verification using the AVISPA and SPAN tools show that the proposed scheme is efficient and secure against various malicious attacks.
