TECHNIQUES FOR QUADRIC SURFACE PROCESSING IN CAD

In this paper, we study techniques for quadric surfaces processing in CAD, which include implicit representation of quadric surfaces, approximate representation with cubic uniform B-SPLINE and accurate representation with NON UNIFORM RATIONAL B-SPLINE, and present an algorithm for $quot;inverse operation$quot; of cubic uniform B-SPLINE to describe quadric surfaces and an algorithm for finding the intersection between two quadric surfaces. A series of tests and applications show that these algorithms have many advantages, such as being simple, efficient and convenient.
An Enhanced Grouping Proof for Multiple RFID Readers and Tag Groups

RFID authentication on large numbers of tags or tag groups has attracted many researchers’ attention as an extension of initial one-or-two-tags scenarios. Due to demands of RFID application in supply chain, various proofs are proposed in the purpose of solving existing problems of grouping tags identification. However, it is proved that verifiers in these proofs are not aware of abnormal relating devices instantly, which may cause both security and technical risks and lie heavy upon identification of the problematic tags and readers. In this paper, we propose an enhanced grouping proof for multiple RFID readers and tag groups, according to which the verifier is able to cope with multiple readers and tag groups simultaneously and know the detailed status of the problematic tags. In addition, privacy protection is provided by offering mutual authentication between the readers and tags. Moreover, it is hard for the malicious tags to pass the verification in the proposed proof.
A Game Theoretic Approach to Coordinate Pricing and Advertising in Closed-loop Supply Chain

As the main member of closed-loop supply chain, the enterprises always consider optimizing supply chain from the angles of pricing and channel while ignoring the role of advertising in the supply chain. In order to study pricing decision and advertising coordinate strategy, we divided the closed-loop supply chain into four cases including manufacture recycling advertising, retailer recycling advertising, manufacture recycling retailer advertising and manufacture advertising retailer recycling. With the impact of advertising for market demand and recycling, by using the game theory, we established four mathematical models, the results show that the retailer recycling advertising mode is the most advantageous for the closed-loop supply chain, compared with the other three modes, we found that when retailer responsible for recycling and advertising, thought the advertisement costs is highest, but the demand, profits of retailer and manufacture, recycling rate are also the highest.
Advertising and Order Quantity Decision Based on the Newsvendor Model

This paper studied optimal order quantity and advertising level of newsvendor. According to the concepts of unit opportunity shortage penalty and unit opportunity expected excess loss, analyzed the relationship between optimal order quantity and the loss aversion coefficient. On this basis, from two aspects of the impact of advertising on the market, we studied the retailer optimal advertising and order quantity decision problems, got the optimal level of advertising and the optimal order quantity, finally examples have shown the impacts of advertising on the retailer.

Korean Peninsula lies to the east of China. In its history, significant anthologies like Parallel Prose of Koreans(Dong Ren Zhi Wen Si Liu), Anthology of Korean Prose(Dong Wen Xuan) and so on to a large extent reflect the achievements of parallel prose. As early as 470s, a few of parallel prose written by Baekje civil officials were still in existence. Since then, eminent figures came forth with large numbers, and over a thousand year, parallel prose can be found in the collected works of literati in large quantities. The achievements of Ancient Korean parallel prose embody the affiliation shared by Chinese and Korean culture traditions. Furthermore, these works enjoy multiple document value out of their extensive concern for politics, diplomacy, learning and aesthetic.

Objectives: To explore the impact of low- vs conventional-dose chemotherapy via transcatheter arterial chemo-embolization (TACE) on serum fibrosis indicators and treatment efficacy of hepatocellular cancer patients (HCC). Materials and Methods: Patients fulfilling the eligibility criteria were assigned to TACE in Group A (with low-dose chemotherapy) or Group B (conventional-dose chemotherapy). Four serum fibrosis related indicators, hyaluronic acid(HA), human pro-collagen type-III (hPC-III), laminin (LN), and collagen type-IV(IV-C) before TACE were compared with the values 7 days after TACE. The response rate and survival time were also compared between the two groups. Results: Fifty patients with HCC were enrolled in this study, including 25 in Group A and 25 in Group B. No significant differences were detected between the two groups in the four indicators before TACE. After TACE, the value of the four serum indicators increased significantly in Group B. However, no significant differences regarding these four indicators were found in Group A after TACE. Significant differences were demonstrated between the two groups after TACE, but median survival time and 1 or 2 year overall survival rates did not differ (P>0.05). Conclusions: Low-, compared with conventional-dose chemotherapy exerts the same impact on the variation of fibrosis related indicators and has no influence on median survival time and survival rate after TACE in HCC patients.

BaCeO3-based ceramics are a unique class of perovskites that exhibit protonic and oxygen ionic conduction,which are ideal for high temperature hydrogen separation applications. This work features Sc-dopedBCFe composites with nominal composition of BaCe0.70Fe0.30-xScxO3d (BCFSc) (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, and0.2) that exhibit enhanced thermal, chemical, and mechanical stability. The BCFSc20 (x = 0.20) hollowfiber membranes demonstrated the highest hydrogen and oxygen fluxes among the Sc-doped compositesof up to 0.32 and 0.20 mL min1 cm2, respectively, at 1000 C. The BCFSc20 hollow fibers also displayedexcellent stability under the hydrogen and oxygen permeation environments, while the permeation performanceof the other BCFSc samples with low Sc content gradually deteriorated over the 120-h stabilitytest.
Parametric Research on Underactuated Tendon-Driven Grasping Mechanism for Space Capture Operation

Space objects always stay in rotation mode with various nutation according to their different inertia parameters during free flying. It is hard for designing a grasping mechanism to capture a rotating target with unknown velocity and unknown size. An under-actuated tendon-driven grasping mechanism is designed and researched in this paper, and which could handle the uncertainties during the capturing using its structural flexibility and strong adaption to space unknown rotating objects for taking the advantage of under-actuation. The under-actuated grasping mechanism consists of four fingers, and each finger has four joints, but driven by only one tendon and four pre-designed springs, which make it a typical under-actuated mechanism. The partial feedback linearization method is modified for the control with time varying constraints and the parametric design method is proposed to complete the tracking control of multiple joint angle using a single driven tendon, and which is validated by the simulation of the whole capturing procedure.
