A CCM/DCM Dual-Mode Synchronous Rectification Controller for a High-Efficiency Flyback Converter

<P>A dual-mode synchronous rectification (SR) controller supporting both the continuous-conduction mode and discontinuous-conduction mode is developed to improve the power efficiency of a flyback converter. The dual-mode SR controller ensures nonoverlapped turning-on of the primary and secondary switches by monitoring the voltage level of the secondary switch. The dual-mode SR controller requiring four pins and only one external resistor has been implemented in a 0.35-μm BCDMOS process and applied to a 50-W flyback converter. The efficiency of the flyback converter is improved by upto 6.8% when the dual-mode SR controller is employed compared to the one employing the conventional SR controller.</P>

<P>A quasi-resonant (QR) controller with an adaptive frequency reduction scheme has been developed for a flyback converter. While maintaining the valley switching, the QR controller reduces the switching frequency for lighter load by skipping some valleys to reduce the power loss and thereby achieve better light-load efficiency. If the QR controller cannot detect any valley due to the damped oscillation of switch voltage, then the valley switching is given up and the nonvalley switching is employed to keep reducing the switching frequency for lighter load. The proposed QR controller has been implemented in a 0.35-mu m 700-V BCDMOS process and applied to a 40-W flyback converter. The power efficiency of the flyback converter is improved by upto 3.0% when the proposed QR controller is employed compared to the one employing the conventional QR controller.</P>

본 논문에서는 스마트폰에 내장된 가속도, 자이로, 지자기 센서가 결합된 IMU 센서를 사용하여 실내에서의 향상된 방향 추정에 대한 연구결과를 소개하고자 한다. 일반적으로 방향 추정은 지자기 센서를 통해 비교적 쉽게 할 수가 있으나, 실내에서는 지자기장의 교란이 심하기 때문에 지자기 센서 만으로는 방향을 추정하는 것이 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IMU 센서로 수집되는 가속도, 자이로, 지자기 데이터를 활용하여 지자기 교란의 정도를 판단하여 스마트폰 방향 추정의 정확도를 향상시키는 방법을 제시하고자 하였다.

This paper presents the error analysis and stochastic modeling of commercial low-cost MEMS Accelerometers. Although Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) based sensors have been utilized for the automotive applications on the benefits of low inherent cost, small size, low power consumption, and solid reliability, it is significantly important to characterize the error behaviors of MEMS-based sensors and to construct more sophisticated mathematical modeling methods for further automotive applications. The errors of MEMS-based accelerometer have been identified into deterministic and stochastic error sources and the stochastic error part was mainly discussed in terms of modeling using discrete parameter models of stationary random process. Appropriate AR models have been proposed, which can be used to help development of automotive integrated applications.

Purpose : To provide data on exercise prescription for obesity management and prevention of cardiovascular disease in girl’s high school and to prepare basic data for more effective exercise program for lifestyle improvement and prevention of lifestyle-related diseases. This study examines the effects on brain nerve growth factor and inflammatory factors, and the relationship between obesity factor and brain neuron cell production factor and inflammatory factor changes by complex exercise. Methods : The subjects of the study were obese students with a body fat percentage of 30 % or higher after obtaining body fat percentage of high school girls in C-city. Among them, 20 students who wanted to participate in the program of this study and did not participate in special exercise and diet therapy within the last 6 months were radio-sampled into groups of exercise group and control group, but attendance rate was low and The final exercise group (9) and control group (9) were measured, except for one student who did not respond. Results : Analysis of the range of variation in body composition, BMI, lean body mass, and the interaction between the groups showed significant differences (p<.05). TC, TG, HDL-C, and LDL-C as variables of blood lipids, TC and TG were not significantly different and TG was significantly different (p<.05) in interactions. HDL-C showed a significant difference (p<.01) in interactions, an increase in exercise group, and a significant decrease in control group (p<.05). There was a significant difference (p<.05) in BDNF interaction, an increase in the exercise group and a decrease in the control group, but no significant difference. NGF tended to increase in both exercise and control groups. IL-6 had a significant difference in timing (p<.05) and significantly decreased (p<.01) in the exercise group, and TNF-α interacted with timing (p<.05), and a significant increase in the control group. Conclusion : This study confirmed 12-week compound exercise program was effective in increasing the expression of basal fitness or CNS factor, but not enough to actually improve brain function. Fat mass and obesity are also affecting vascular inflammatory factors.
복합적인 Context 정보를 활용한 Smart Lock 개선 연구

최근 스마트폰 분야에 보안관련 이슈가 빈번하게 발생함에 따라 보안성에 사용성까지 고려한 Usable Security 분야에 대한 연구의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 서비스 인터페이스 및 UX 디자인 분야에서도 사용성을 고려한 보안 기술 서비스에 대한 고민이 많이 필요하나 아직은 새로운 시도가 많이 없는 상황이다. 우리는 Google Android OS 의 Smart Lock 기능을 사용성을 통해 보안 문제를 해결하는 하나의 시도로 주목하였고, 본 연구를 통해 Google 의 Smart Lock 의 한계를 파악하고 좀 더 유용한 기능이 될 수 있는 방안을 제안하여 궁극적으로 사용자의 스마트 폰 보안성을 향상시키고자 한다.

In this paper, we propose a localization scheme for multiple device-free targets in wireless sensor network. The ellipse model of wireless link is utilized to create different weights for meshes in monitoring area. By setting a threshold for the weights of meshes and using the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm, different shapes of mesh clusters that represent each target can be obtained. The proposed scheme was compared with the conventional k-means algorithm in solving the clustering problem for the meshes clusters representing three different targets. According to the simulation results, the proposed scheme outperforms the k-means scheme.

ML 모듈 시스템은 강력한 모듈화 프로그래밍과 데이터 추상화를 지원함에도 불구하고 재귀 모듈을 지원하지 못한다는 점이 단점으로 지적되어 왔다. 재귀 모듈을 이용하면 상호의존적이지만 개념적으로는 서로 분리된 소프트웨어 컴포넌트들을 각각 다른 모듈에 작성할 수 있기 때문에 코드의 재사용성을 더욱 증진시킬 수 있다. 이러한 중요성 때문에 재귀 모듈은 지난 10년 동안 프로그래밍언어 분야에서 깊이 있게 연구되어 왔으며, 그 결과 OCaml과 같은 언어에서 성공적으로 지원되고 있다. 그러나 기존연구는 복시 문제와 순환 타입 문제를 완벽하게 해결하지 못하여 한정된 재귀 모듈 프로그래밍 패턴만을 지원하는 한계점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 복시 문제와 순환 타입 문제를 해결하고 다양한 재귀 모듈 프로그래밍 패턴을 지원하는 타입 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 타입 시스템은 프로그램 문법 기반으로 설계되어 실제 재귀 모듈 시스템을 구현하는데 손쉽게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Although the ML module system provides powerful support for modular programming and data abstraction, traditionally it does not support recursive modules. Due to the lack of recursive modules, ML programmers often have to consolidate conceptually separate mutually recursive definitions into a single module, thus compromising modular programming. In response, several authors have recently proposed recursive module extensions to ML, one of which is successfully implemented in OCaml. Type systems in previous proposals, however, fail to typecheck common patterns of recursive modules that are essential to the expressivity of the module system due to two technical challenges, namely the double vision problem and cyclic type definitions. In this paper, we propose a type system for recursive modules that solves the two technical challenges and typechecks common patterns of recursive modules. Our approach is purely syntactic and the definition of the type system is ready for use in an actual implementation.
