Lack of physical activity and aging can lead to the loss of skeletal muscle mass and function. Many effortshave been made to align and differentiate myoblasts into myotubes in hydrogel gratings supported byelastic substrates, and then induce muscle hypertrophy in the myotubes by applying repetitive stretchingto the elastic substrate. However, muscle hypertrophy in vivo may require stretching at least 20%, whichconventional hydrogel gratings cannot withstand. In this study, we developed a novel method for patterningstructurally stable gelatin hydrogel gratings (GHG) on an elastic surface that can withstand highlevels of cyclic stretching without detachment or tearing during cell culturing. We attached gelatin to thesurface through aldehyde functionalization and crosslinking with microbial transglutaminase. GHG onthe PDMS surface withstood stretching at high ratios (15% and 20%) for several days. Myoblasts culturedon GHG differentiated into myotubes that were aligned along the grooves. When subjected to cyclicstretching at a ratio of 20%, these myotubes showed a significant increase in width, up to 57%. Thismethod represents a significant advance in the field, providing a valuable platform for studying theeffects of resistance exercise on muscle hypertrophy in vitro.

Objective: In this study, by applying the HTA to find problems and to improve the future direction of the MERS-CoV infection control. Background: Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) is a viral respiratory disease with high infection rates and mortality that was first identified in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Especially The first case of MERS-CoV infection in the Republic of Korea as reported to WHO was laboratory confirmed on May 20 2015. Confirmed 186 people and deaths 36 people occurred because of Governmental system problem of the quarantine system and preventive measures against epidemics. Due to that, the country has the high infection rates and mortality except for the Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Method: This study is about Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA) of Korea government quarantine process which protect people from MERS-Cov viruses. This HTA is based on data of Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and presses. Results: In this HTA, we found out which subtask is related with each MERS patients and scored the each of subtasks on the number of the patients. Conclusion: Through this study, we need a new system. Application: This quantified scores show that subtask is the critical factor and guide to design a quarantine system in the future.

Infiltration is one of detrimental problems occurring in nursing or medical settings. Early detection of infiltration is essential to minimize the risk of injury from infiltration. To perform a preliminary study on the point of care and automated infiltration detection system, bioelectrical impedance was investigated using bioelectrical impedance analyzer. We would like to report experimental results that allow impedance parameters to effectively distinguish infiltration. Electrodes were attached to both sides of the transparent dressing on the fusion site where IV solution was being infused. Then, impedance parameters before and after infiltration were measured as a function of time and frequency. The experimental results are as follows. After infiltration was intentionally induced by puncturing the vein wall with a needle, the resistance gradually decreased with time. That is, when an alternating current having a frequency of 20 kHz was applied to the electrodes, the resistance gradually decreased with time, reflecting the accumulation of IV solution in the extracellular fluid since the current could not pass through the cell membrane. Impedance parameters and equivalent circuit model for human cell were used to examine the mechanism of current flow before and after infiltration, which could be used for early detection of infiltration.
