Designation and Application Status of State-Designated Cultural Property, Scenic Sites
Jaehyun Rho,Heekyung Son,Inae Kang,Taehie Park 전북대학교 휴양및경관계획연구소 2017 휴양및경관연구 (J East Asian Landscape Studies) Vol.11 No.1
While designation status of state-appointed cultural properties, promotion status of scenic sites, overlap with natural parks, and relationship with both nine river bends and eight views were reviewed, application and promotion status of scenic sites were analyzed by exploring culture and tourism websites of local governments and tourist leaflets on scenic sites. The results of the analysis are as follows. There are totally 109 designated scenic sites in Korea and these are distributed in 59 local governments, which account for 26.1% of local governments. Accordingly, unequal regional distribution was found to be significant. As a result of the exploration of the status of overlapping between scenic site-designated areas and national, provincial, and county parks, altogether 53 designated scenic sites that account for 48.6%, overlapped with natural parks. Thus, there is a great need for role sharing and cooperation with natural park management entities in terms of experience programs within scenic sites and cultural commentaries. Meanwhile, there is a significant difference among the local governments regarding the efforts in highlighting cultural properties as tourist resources while universal awareness and promotion of scenic sites was found to be very low. Marking scenic sites on leaflets were prone to lag behind those on homepages. The analysis on status of scenic sites revealed that festivals and events were being held in 39.4% of scenic sites and those with longer designation- lapsed years were associated with the prevalence of festivals. Moreover, natural scenic sites located in natural parks were unwilling to be used through local government’s awareness and tourism endeavors compared to historical and cultural scenic sites. Additionally, several wrong descriptions were found on the markings of scenic sites and thus, promotion of scenic site culture and operational management requires urgent improvement.
Contorted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon: promising Li insertion organic anode
Park, Jaehyun,Lee, Cheol Woo,Joo, Se Hun,Park, Ju Hyun,Hwang, Chihyun,Song, Hyun-Kon,Park, Young Seok,Kwak, Sang Kyu,Ahn, Seokhoon,Kang, Seok Ju The Royal Society of Chemistry 2018 Journal of Materials Chemistry A Vol.6 No.26

Enhancing the performance of carbon-based anode materials in Li-ion battery (LIB) systems is of considerable interest in terms of next-generation LIB host electrodes, because the unique reversible intercalation-de-intercalation process of such materials ultimately facilitates increases in LIB performance and longevity. This study explored the potential of a new class of carbon-based contorted hexabenzocoronene (c-HBC) as an anode material for high-performance LIB systems. The exploitation of the polymorphic crystalline nature of c-HBC resulted in successful development of a LIB anode based on a newly found crystal phase of trigonal R3̄ by solvent and subsequent thermal annealing. Our in-depth analysis based on cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy, grazing incidence X-ray diffraction, and computational investigation revealed further advantages of using contorted molecules in LIB systems. For instance, the resulting electrochemical characteristics using half-cell architecture clearly reflected single-stage Li insertion behavior associated with the large interspacing and short diffusion length of c-HBC molecule during the discharging process. In addition, the battery exhibited excellent rate capability and cycle endurance, highlighting the suitability of c-HBC as an anode material for high-performance LIBs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among relationship marketing, relationship quality, and behavioral intention toward children sports centers. Research design, data, and methodology: To achieve this purpose, this study employed a convenience sampling method via a questionnaire dissemination. A total of 427 responses were collected from the parents of six children sports centers. Among those, 21 responses were excluded as they were not completed, leaving 406 valid data. For hypotheses test, the collected data was computed in SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 27.0, and analyzed with frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling analysis. Results: First, relationship marketing had a positive influence on relationship quality. Second, relationship marketing had a positive influence on behavioral intention. Third, relationship quality had a positive influence on behavioral intention. Conclusions: Results showed that relationship marketing had a positive influence on relationship quality and behavioral intention. Moreover, relationship quality had a positive influence on behavioral intention. These findings indicate a positive function of relationship marketing in building psychological and behavioral outcomes in the context of children sport industry. Given this, implications of relationships among research variables were discussed.
Pilot-based non-adaptive equalizers using an array antenna for DTV receivers
Jaehyun Park,Joohwan Chun IEEE 2009 IEEE transactions on consumer electronics Vol.55 No.1

In this paper, a pilot-based single-input multiple-output (SIMO) minimum mean square error (MMSE) decision feedback equalizer (DFE) using an array antenna is proposed to overcome the long transient period problem of adaptive equalizers for a severely distorted digital television (DTV) channel. Furthermore, for the sake of reduced complexity, a low complexity spatio-temporal equalizer is developed, wherein one spatial equalizer and multiple single input single-output (SISO) MMSE-DFEs are cascaded. To further improve the spatio-temporal equalizer, we also propose an orthogonalization technique of the beamforming weights. Two implementation issues, the channel estimation and computational complexities of the proposed algorithms, are also investigated. The simulation results indicate that the spatio-temporal equalizer has a slightly degraded performance with a much lower complexity than the SIMO MMSE-DFE.

MoHoP: A protocol providing for both mobility management and host privacy
Park, Jaehyun,Ha, Jaehee,Kang, Brent Byunghoon,Kim, Myungchul Elsevier 2019 COMPUTER NETWORKS - Vol.148 No.-

Abstract

The types and numbers of moving objects connected to the Internet are rapidly increasing. Thus, a number of methods have been proposed to provide mobility to moving objects and to ensure host privacy. However, when both methods are applied at the same time without considering their interoperation, either host privacy cannot be provided or packets are delivered to an incorrect location. In this paper, we propose a protocol termed MoHoP which provides both mobility management and host privacy simultaneously. MoHoP obtains the identifier of a mobile node by decoding an anonymized identifier included in a packet. Using the obtained identifier in a distributed hash table, it finds an edge router to which a mobile node is connected, and delivers the packet. We implemented MoHoP in a testbed and proved that it supports mobility. Moreover, the identifier of a mobile node is not exposed in a packet header during the packet transmission process. Our experiment also demonstrated that MoHoP offers low protocol overhead and low handover delay.

Indoor localization system in a multi-block workspace
Park, JaeHyun,Choi, MunGyu,Zu, YunFei,Lee, JangMyung Cambridge University Press 2010 Robotica Vol.28 No.3
SUMMARY
This paper proposes methodologies and techniques for multi-block navigation of an indoor localization system with active beacon sensors. As service robots and ubiquitous technology have evolved, there is an increasing need for autonomous indoor navigation of mobile robots. In a large number of indoor localization schemes, the absolute position estimation method, relying on navigation beacons or landmarks, has been widely used due to its low cost and high accuracy. However, few of these schemes have managed to expand the applications for use in complicated workspaces involving many rooms or blocks that cover a wide region, such as airports and stations. Since the precise and safe navigation of mobile robots in complicated workspaces is vital for the ubiquitous technology, it is necessary to develop a multi-block navigation scheme. This new design of an indoor localization system includes ultrasonic attenuation compensation, dilution of both the precision analysis and fault detection, and an isolation algorithm using redundant measurements. These ideas are implemented on actual mobile robot platforms and beacon sensors, and experimental results are presented to test and demonstrate the new methods.
