        폐탄광지역 비소오염 농경지(논) 개량 시 복토두께에 따른 비소의 벼전이 및 토양용액 특성

        본 연구에서는 폐금속광산과는 달리 우려기준 전후의 낮은 비소 오염농도 분포특성을 가지는 폐석탄광산 농경지 토양을 대상으로 광해방지사업(토양개량·복원사업) 시 복토층의 두께 감소 가능여부를 벼를 식재한 담수형 컬럼실험을 통해 검토하였다. 담수 후 4개월 동안 토양용액의 pH, EC, ORP 및 무기원소(Fe, Mn, Ca, As) 농도를 모니터링한 결과 컬럼하층에서 상층으로 미치는 영향은 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 복토 두께에 따른 비교에서도 하층의 영향보다는 복토층 두께 변화에 따른 ORP 변화가 복토재 무기원소의 거동에 영향을 미치는 결과를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 토양용액의 거동이 상하층간 반응의 영향보다는 각 층별 나타나는 토양의 이질성에 우선하여 나타난 것으로 판단되었다. 모니터링 종료시점에서 채취한 벼 뿌리의 비소 농도는 현행 사업 조건과 같은 40 cm 두께의 복토층을 조성한 경우 컬럼하층의 안정화 처리여부에 상관없이 대조구 대비 98%가 감소되었다. 20 cm 두께의 복토층에서는 오염토의 안정화가 없을 경우 58%, 안정화처리 시 80%의 전이감소 효율을 나타내었다. 따라서 오염 농경지 토양에 대한 적정 안정화 처리를 수행할 경우 복토재의 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 경제적인 사업수행효과도 이룰 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study was carried out to investigate the feasibility of reducing clean cover soil using a flooded column test in arseniccontaminated farmland reclamation of abandoned coal mine area that shows generally low or about worrisome level (25 mg/kg) of Korea soil environment conservation act unlike abandoned metal mine. During the monitoring period of soil solution for 4 months, chemical properties (pH, EC, ORP, Fe, Mn, Ca, and As) in each layer (clean soil cover and contaminated/stabilized soil) showed different variation. This result revealed that soil solution in stabilized or contaminated soil rarely affected that in cover soil. Whether stabilized or not, arsenic concentrations in the rice roots grown in the soil covers with the thickness of 40 cm decreased by 98% in compared with the that grown in the control soil. In case of the soil covers with 20 cm thickness on stabilized soil, it decreased by 80% and this was 22 percentage point higher than when the soil of lower layer was not stabilized. Thus, reducing clean cover soil could be possible in contaminated farmland soil reclamation if appropriate stabilization of contaminated soil is carried.

        Field Emission Characteristics of Deffctive Diamond Films

        The field emission characteristics of defective diamond films grown by microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (MPECVD) have been studied. X-ray diffraction, the poor crystal quality and/or small grain sizes of the diamond phase and the inclusion of the non-diamond carbon phases in these films have been condirmed by raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and the reflectance measurements. The degrees of the film defectiveness and the emission characteristics were dependent on the methane concentration. Current-versus-voltage measurements have demonstrated that the defective diamond films have good electron emission characteristics. characteristics strongly suggests the defect-related electron-emission mechanism. The defective diamond films deposited on Si substrates show the field emission current density of 1$\mu\textrm{A}/\textrm{cm}^2$ and 1mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ have been measured at electric fields as low as 4.5V/$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 7.6V/$\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. We also observed the similar emission characteristics from the defective diamond film deposited on Cr/Si substrate and could decrease the deposition temperature to $600^{\circ}C$.

      • 정상 혈중 마그네슘치를 갖고 있는 입원환자에서의 마그네슘 결핍의 임상적 평가

        마그네슘은 주로 세포질 내의 효소 작용에 조효소로 작용하는 전해질이므로 혈청내의 마그네슘보다는 체내 총마그네슘치가 더 중요하다고 알려져 있으나 실제 임상적으로 이를 측정하기는 어려운 상태이다. 이에 저자들은 정상 혈중 마그네슘치의 입원 환자를 대상으로 마그네슘 부하 검사를 실시하여 체내 마그네슘 결핍여부를 확인하고 이렇게 확인된 마그네슘 결핍 환자에게 충분한 양의 마그네슘(하루 6g)을 정주 후 나타나는 생물학적 효과를 spirometer에 의한 노력성 호흡능을 측정하여 확인하고자 하였다. Magnesium, the second most abundant intracellular cation next to potassium, has several critically important roles in various enzyme reactions producing energy as a co-factor in the cytoplasm. Only 0.3% of total magnesium is in the extracellular fluid compartment. Moreover, magnesium is distributed unevenly with the greatest concentration in tissues having the highest metabolic activity, such as the brain, heart, liver and kidney. So the portion of intracellular is more important than that of extracellular fluid in the biologic function of magnesium. Because of theses reasons, serum magnesium level may not reflect intracellular magnesium content and the intracellular magnesium depletion may exist despite a normal serum magnesium concentration. Especially the magnesium deficiency with normal serum magnesium is frequently encountered in hospitalized patients and is see most often in patients admitted to intensive care units. The detection of magnesium deficiency can be increased by measuring magnesium concentration in the urine or using the parenteral magnesium loading test. So we designed the study to identify that intravenous 6g magnesium infusion can improve the biologic function which is mediated by intracellular magnesium in 7 hospitalized patients with magnesium deficiency having normal serum magnesium level, diagnosed by more than 50% retention of magnesium in loading test. We measured FEVI and FVC by spirometer to evaluate the biologic influence on respiratory muscle power of before and after magnesium infusion and could available below results. 1.The average retention % of magnesium after loading test was 78.9±15.35%. 2.The serum magnesium and potassium levels after intravenous 6g magnesium infusion were not changed significantly, compared to before the infusion(serum magnesium 1.87±0.33mg/dL vs 2.23±0.55mg/4L, p= 0.14, serum potassium 3.34±0.38mEq/L vs 3.50±0.38mEq/L, p = 0.23). 3.There were no significant urine electrolyte changes between before and after intravenous 6gm magnesium infusion(urine Mg++ 4.33±2.96mg/dL vs 8.07±3.21mg/dL, p=0.056, urine K+ 21.9±14.11mEq/L vs 14.47±6.41mSq/L, p=0.2, urine Ca++ 7.94±10.60mg/dL vs 12.35±11.08mg/dL, p=0.087, urine phosphate 12.63±17.35mg/dL vs 10.20±8.00mg/dL, p=0.61, TTKG 4.99±1.73 vs 4.87±1.43. p=0.81). 4.After intravenous 6g magnesium infusion, the predicted % of FEVI and FVC reflecting effort respiratory capacity become improved significantly, compared to before the infusion (FEV1 79.12±17.75% vs 92.26±16.59%, p=0.025, FVC 73.23±19.38% vs 82.55±18.29%, p = 0.017). In conclusion, normal serum magnesium level can be accompanied by the presence of intracellular magnesium depletion, which can be improved the effort respiratory capacity by the repletion of magnesium.

      • 신증후출혈열에 이환후 발생한 심한 동서맥 1예

        저자등은 신증후출혈열에 이환후 앙와시 현훈(dizziness)과 심한 두통을 동반하며, atropine에 반응하지 않은 심한 동서맥을 보였으나 특별한 치료 없이 자연히 호전된 심한 동서맥 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome is a disease of infectious origin which has been known to western medicine since it was encountered by the United Nations Forces in Korea in 1951. Numerous articles pertaining to the electrocardiographic abnormalities of the disease have been mentioned. We experinced a 35-year-old man presented with severe sinus brady-cardia, having no effect on atropine, which was developed in lying and associated with severe throbbing headache during the course of HFRS. The patient's serum revealed a high antibody titer to Hantaan virus. The headache and bradycardia recovered uneventfully with conservative management.

        Trends in End-of-Life Resource Utilization and Costs among Prostate Cancer Patients from 2006 to 2015: A Nationwide Population-Based Study

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate end-of-life resource utilization and costs for prostate cancer patients during the last year of life in Korea. Materials and Methods: The study used the National Health Information Database (NHIS-2017-4-031) of the Korean National Health Insurance Service. Healthcare claim data for the years 2002 through 2015 were collected from the Korean National Health Insurance System. Among 83,173 prostate cancer patients, we enrolled 18,419 after excluding 1,082 who never claimed for the last year of life. Results: From 2006 to 2015, there was a 3.2-fold increase the total number of prostate cancer decedents. The average cost of care during the last year of life increased over the 10-year period, from 14,420,000 Korean won to 20,300,000 Korean won, regardless of survival time. The cost of major treatments and medications, other than analgesics, was relatively high. Radiologic tests, opioids, pain control, and rehabilitation costs were relatively low. Multiple regression analysis identified age and living in rural area as negatively associated with prostate cancer care costs, whereas income level and a higher number of comorbidities were positively associated. Conclusions: Expenditure of prostate cancer care during the last year of life varied according to patient characteristics. Average costs increased every year. However, the results suggest underutilization of support services, likely due to lack of alternative accommodation for terminal prostate cancer patients. Further examination of patterns of utilization of healthcare resources will allow policymakers to take a better approach to reducing the burden of prostate cancer care.

        Comparison of Detection Probability for Conventional and Time-Reversal (TR) Radar Systems

        We compare the detection probabilities of the time-reversal(TR) detection system and the conventional radar system. The target is assumed to be hidden inside a random medium such as a forest. We propose a TR detection system based on the SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) algorithm. Unlike the conventional SAR images, the proposed TR-SAR system has an interesting property. Specifically, the target-related signal components due to the time-reversal refocusing characteristics, as well as some of clutter-related signal components are concentrated at the time-reversal reference point. The remaining clutter-related signal components are scattered around that reference point. In this paper, we model the random media as a collection of point scatterers to avoid unnecessary complexities. We calculate the detection probability of the TR radar system based on the proposed simple random media model.

        超音波를 利用한 溫熱療法時 溫度分布에 關한 硏究

        Temperature homogeniety and stationary temperature is the most important thermometric considerations for the clinical use of hyperthermia. A thermal mapping was done in a phantom with thermocouple during hyperthermia which was induced by 1.0 MHz, 0.7~0.8 watts/㎠ ultrasound and unfocused 2.5 cm-diameter transducer. The results were as follows 1. Effective heating range(42.5℃±0.5℃) were obtained 3 cm in width and 4 cm in depth from surface of phantom and temperature distribution was relatively uniform. 2. There was little heating effect more than 2 cm away from transducer axis and more than 5cm in depth. 3. There was hot spots(more than 43℃) in 2.0±0.5 cm depth from transducer along transducer axis.
