        맥주맥의 이면교잡에 의한 F_1세대에 대한 조합능력을 검정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 8개 형질에 대한 GCA, SCA, RCA효과를 검정한 바 조합능력은 전 형질에서 GCA, SCA, RCA가 모두 유의하였는데 간장, 수장, 망장, 간직경, 곡핍폭, 1수립수 1000립중은 GCA가 SCA보다 크고, 품종간 GCA효과는 진양보리가 간장에서 부(-)이고, 삼도보리가 수장·망장·간직경·1000립중에서, 사천6호가 망장과 간직경에서, 진광보리가 곡립장에서, 두산29호가 곡립폭·1수립수·1000립중에서 각각 정(+)으로 높았다. SCA효과에서 수장은 두산29호×두산8호 조합이, 망장은 진양보리×두산29호 조합이, 간직경은 사천6호×진광보리 조합이, 곡립장은 진양보리×두산8호 조합이, 곡립폭은 진광보리×두산8호 조합이, 1수립수는 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 1000립중은 사천6호×두산8호 조합 및 두산29호×두산8호 조합이 각각 정으로 높았고, 간장은 삼도보리×진광보리 조합이 부로서 높았다. RCA효과에서 수장은 두산8호×남향보리 조합이, 망장은 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 간직겨은 사천6호×진양보리 조합이, 곡립장은 사천6호×진광보리 조합이, 곡립폭은 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 1수립수는 사천6호×두산29호 조합이, 1000립중은 진양보리×두산29호 조합이 각각 정으로 높았고, 간장은 사천6호×두산29호 조합이 부로서 높았다. Seven barley varieties in F_1 generation of the possible crosses among them were used to estimate the combining ability for eight characters, i.e., culm length, spike length, awn length, culm diameter, grain length, grain width, number of grains per spike and 1000 grains weight. Data for F_1 hybrid and parents were subjected to the analysis method proposed by Griffing. The results obtained were summarized as follows. mean squares of general combining ability(GCA), specific combining ability(SCA) and reciprocal combining ability(RCA) were significant for all characters observed. Mean squares of GCA were higher than those of SCA and RCA in culm length, spike length, awn length, culm diameter, grain width, number of grains per spike and 1000 grains weight. Variety Dusan#29 showed the highest GCA effect for number of grains per spike and positively high effects of GCA were observed from variety Samdo bori in spike length, awn length, culm diameter, 1000 grains weight, and from variety Jinkwang bori I grain length, from Dusan#29 in grain width, umber of grains per spike, 1000 grains weight. Also Jinyang bori showed negatively high GCA effect in culm length. In SCA effects, hybrids in Jinyang bori × Samdo bori were exhibited positively high for number of grains per spike and high SCA effects for 1000 grins weight were found positively in Sacheun#6×Dusan#8 and Dusan#29×Dusan#. In RCA effects, hybrids in Sacheun#6×Dusan#29 were exhibited positively high for number of grains per spike and high RCA effects for 1000 grains weight were found positively in Jinyang bori×Dusan#29.

      • 에타놀 攝取가 運動選手의 肺機能에 미치는 影響

        In an effort to elucidate the effect of ethanol on the pulmonary function in athletes, 26 athletic college students were selected. Pulmonary function test was performed after administration of ethanol to the blood ethanol level of 40㎎/㎗. Results of the test were summarized as follows: Forced expiratory volumes were decreased by ethanol, and FVC and FEV_0.5, in particular, showed a significant decrease. Forced expiratory flows were decreased by ethanol. Especially, PEF, PEF_25%, FEF_(200∼1200㎖), and FEF_(25∼75%) showed a significant decrease. MVV was decreased by ethanol ingestion. Alveolar PO_2 and PCO_2 were not changed by ethanol ingestion. Blood pH, PCO_2, PO_2, bicarbonate, base excess, O_2 content and O_2 saturation showed no significant change.

        완두의 이면교잡에 의한 F_1세대에 대한 조합능력을 검정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 9개 형질에 대한 GCA, SCA, RCA효과를 검정한 바 조합능력은 전 형질에서 GCA, SCA, RCA가 모두 유의하였고, 분지수·경직경·엽장·주당협수·협당립수·주당립수·100립중·주당립중은 GCA가 SCA보다 크고, 품종간 GCA효과는 고성종1호가 경직경과 100립중에서, 고성종2호가 경장·분지수·엽장에서, 김해종이 주당협수·주당립수·100립중·주당입중에서, 진해종이 협다립수에서 각각 정(+)으로 높았다. SCA효과에서 경장은 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합과 1×3(고성종1호×김해종)조합이, 분지수는 4×5(고성종3호×진해종)조합이, 경직경과 엽장은 1×3(고성종1호×김해종)조합이, 주당협수는 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합과 4×5(고성종3호×진해종)조합이, 협당립수는 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합·1×4(고성종1호×고성종3호)조합·2×3(고성종2호×김해종)조합이, 주당립수는 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합과 4×5(고성종3호×진해종)조합이, 100립중은 3×4(김해종×고성종3호)조합이, 주당립중은 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합·3×4(김해종×고성종3호)조합·4×5(고성종3호×진해종)조합이 각각 정으로 높았다. RCA효과에서 경장·엽장·주당협수·주당립중은 1×2(고성종1호×고성종2호)조합이, 주당협수·주당립수·100립중·주당립중은 2×4(고성종2호×고성종3호)조합이 각각 정으로 높았다. In RCA effects, hybrids in Gosung#2×Gosung#3 were exhibited positively high for number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, 100-seed weight and seed weight per plant and high RCA effects for stem length, leaf length, number of pods per plant, and seed weight per plant were found positively in Gosung#1×Gosung#2.

        Thin films of vanadium oxide(VO_(x)) have been deposited by RF magnetron sputtering from V₂O_(5) target in gas mixture of argon and oxygen. The oxygen/(oxygen+argon) partial pressure ratio of 0% and 8% is adopted. Crystal structure and optical properties of films sputter-deposited under different oxygen gas pressures and in situ annealed in vacuum at 400℃ for 1h and 4h are characterized through XRD, XPS, RBS, FTIR, and optical absorption measurements. The films as-deposited are amorphous, but 0%O₂ films annealed for time longer than 4h and 8%O₂ films annealed for time longer than 1h are polycrystalline. I-v characteristics were distinguished between linear and nonlinear region. In the low field region the conduction is due to Schottky emission, while at high fields it changes to Fowler-Nordheim tunneling type conduction. The conductivity measurements have shown an Arrhenius dependence of the conductivity on the temperature.

      • 체내 당원질 저장능력의 향상을 통한 장거리 선수의 기록 향상 방안

        This study was aimed at clarifying the effect of a dietary ragime designed to enhance the body's glycogen-storaging ability on the record of long-distance runners. The subjects employed were a total of 24 male college long-distance runners aged between 19 and 21 years. As a preliminary experiment, 8 ml/㎏ BW of 20% glucose was administered and blood levels of glucose, insulin and lactate were observed. The dietary regime consisted of low-carbohydrate diet with heavey exercise for 3 days followed by high-carbohydrate diet with light exercise for 3 days. On the day after the last day of the dietary regime, 20 ㎞-running was performed and blood levels of glucose, insulin and lactate, hematocrit and body weight were measured. The measured parameters and the records were compared with those measured during 20 ㎞-running performed before the dietary regime. The results obtained are summarized as follows. After the administration of 20% glucose, blood glucose level was doubled in 30 min. Insulin was increased by 6.5 times in 60 min and was sharply decreased in 120 min but was still higher than the resting level. Blood levels of glucos(x) and insulin(y) revealed a high correlation and the regression equation was y=-16.90+0.294x. Blood lactate was somewhat increased. After 20 ㎞-running, the blood glucose, insulin and lactate were all increased. Compared with those measured before dietary regime, blood glucose and lactate levels measured after the regime were higher, while the insulin was lower. The body weight was reduced and the hematocrit was increased by the dietary regime. The record was improved by 2 min 3 sec. From the above results, it can be concluded that high-carbohydrate diet such as glucose solution is necessary in restoring the depleted blood glucose level during exercise, that meals should be taken at least 2∼3 hours before long-distance running to get the increased plasma insulin level restored and that improved endurance can be obtained by accumulating body glycogen through dietary regime.

        Multiple Target Angle-tracking Using Angular Innovations Extracted from Noise Subspace

        Ryu et al. proposed a multiple target angle-tracking algorithm without a data association problem using angular innovations. This algorithm, however, needs the computational loads in proportion to the square number of sensors regardless of the number of targets, because it uses a nonlinear equation between the signal subspace and angular innovation. In this Paper, we proposed an efficient algorithm for the multiple target angle-tracking using angular innovations. The proposed algorithm extracts the angular innovations from noise subspace. Also, it is demonstrated by computer simulations dealing with the tracking of crossing targets. The simulation results show that the computational loads of the proposed algorithm are $80\%$ and $60\%$ of those of Ryu's algorithm for 3 targets and 6 targets without degrading the performance of the target tracking.

        이중 지대주에서 티타늄 링크 높이가 지르코니아 지대주와의 유지력에 주는 영향

        The aim of present study was to evaluate the effects of link height and dental cements on the retention force between titanium link and zirconia abutment in the Ti-Zr bicomponent abutment system. Three different height (2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 mm with 0o taper) of titanium links (MonoDent, Korea) were machined and pertinent zirconia abutments (Acucera, Korea) were fabricated with CAD/CAM. One hundred thirty five titanium links and zirconia abutments were prepared. Zirconia abutments were cemented on their respective titanium links with three different types of dental cements, such as zinc phosphate (Fleck’s), resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI, RelyX Luting 2), self-adhesive resin cement (RelyX U200). Specimens were stored in deionized water (37℃) for 24 hours until testing. Pull-off test was performed using a universal testing machine (Instron 4466, USA) with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Fifteen specimens were tested at each experimental group. The data were analyzed using t-test and Newman-Keuls multiple comparisons test (p=0.05). RMGI showed the lowest retention force (p<0.05) and ZPC showed similar retention force with resin cement (p>0.05) regardless of link heights. For ZPC groups and self-adhesive resin cement groups, 3.0 mm height showed significantly higher retention force than both 2.5 mm and 2.0 mm groups which were not significantly different (p>0.05) For RMGI groups, the retention force increased significantly with increasing of link height (p<0.05). To obtain the proper retention in clinical situation, height of titanium link should be no less than 3.0 mm.

        SAN환경에서 NDMP를 이용한 백업소프트웨어

        최근 SAN과 NAS 같은 기술의 발전과 함께 대용량의 데이타를 효과적으로 백업하기 위한 요구들이 증가되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 네트웍 기반의 백업을 위해 제안된 개방형 표준 프로토콜인 NDMP를 이용하여 SAN 환경에 적합한 백업 소프트웨어를 설계하고 구현한다. 제안하는 백업 소프트웨어는 SAN을 기반으로 한 LAN-free 백업을 지원한다. 또한 사용자의 스케줄링에 의한 자동 백업과 다양한 유형의 백업 및 복구 타입을 지원한다. 파일 시스템, 원시 장치 그리고 데이타베이스에 대한 백업 및 복구를 수행한다. 향후 제안하는 백업 소프트웨어는 백업 센터로 사용할 수 있다. Recently, as new technologies such as SAN and NAS come into wide use to deal with a large amount of data, an efficient backup software for SAN and NAS is very required. In this paper, we design and implement a backup software for SAN that fully supports NDMP. The NDMP is an open standard protocol for network-based backup. The proposed backup software has various unique features such as SAN based lan-free backup, automatic and manual backup, on-line backup by using snap shot, file-system, raw-device, database backup and so on. The proposed backup software also can be configured as a backup center that uses SAN as a backup media.

      • Tetraspanin-2 promotes glucotoxic apoptosis by regulating the JNK/β-catenin signaling pathway in human pancreatic β cells

        <P>Diabetes mellitus is a complex and heterogeneous disease, which has β-cell dysfunction at its core. Glucotoxicity affects pancreatic islets, causing β-cell apoptosis. However, the role of JNK/β-catenin signaling in glucotoxic β-cell apoptosis is not well understood. Recently, we identified tetraspanin-2 (TSPAN2) protein as a proapoptotic β-cell factor induced by glucose, suggesting that TSPAN2 might contribute to pancreatic β-cell glucotoxicity. To investigate the effects of glucose concentration on TSPAN2 expression and apoptosis, we used reverted immortalized RNAKT-15 human pancreatic β cells. High TSPAN2 levels up-regulated phosphorylated (p) JNK and induced apoptosis. p-JNK enhanced the phosphorylation of β-catenin and Dickkopf-1 (Dkk1). Dkk1 knockdown by small interfering (si)RNA up-regulated nuclear β-catenin, suggesting that it is a JNK/β-catenin-dependent pathway. siRNA-mediated TSPAN2 depletion in RNAKT-15 cells increased nuclear β-catenin. This decreased BCL2-associated X protein (Bax) activation, leading to marked protection against high glucose–induced apoptosis. Bax subfamily proteins induced apoptosis through caspase-3. Thus, TSPAN2 might have induced Bax translocation and caspase-3 activation in pancreatic β cells, thereby promoting the apoptosis of RNAKT-15 cells by regulating the JNK/β-catenin pathway in response to high glucose concentrations.
