The study investigates the relationship between broad-scope management accounting information usage, market orientation, and the firm performance. This study employs a survey data of 149 top-level and mid-level managers working in Vietnamese tourism enterprises. To analyze research data, we employ SmartPLS 3 software. The analytical process include measurement model evaluation (evaluate the scale's validity and reliability) and structural model evaluation (test research hypotheses). The results reveal that broad-scope management accounting information usage has a positive direct effect on market orientation dimensions (include information generation, information dissemination, and responsiveness). Then, market orientation dimensions also have positive direct effects on the performance of Vietnamese tourism firms, excluding information dissemination. Moreover, this study also reveals that the market orientation dimensions mediate the relationship between broad-scope management accounting information usage and firm performance. The findings of this study suggest that tourism firms should pay more attention to the use of management accounting information in decision-making. With the increasingly fierce competition of the tourism firms today, capturing and meeting the needs of the market is a prerequisite to help firms enhance their competitiveness and improve their performance. To do that, Vietnamese tourism firms need to consider pursuing market orientation and enhancing broad-scope management accounting information usage.

The article aims to identify the main factors affecting customers' decision to use mobile banking service in Vietnam, a case study in Thanh Hoa province. Based on theoretical frameworks of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the study has been conducted with 370 questionnaires to consumers who have not yet used and are currently using mobile banking in Thanh Hoa province. The research results indicates that several factors have been evaluated to be more important than others, of which, the social influence is the strongest, the second is the compatibility and some others factors such as perceived ease of use, perceived trust, etc., all affecting the intention to use mobile banking in Thanh Hoa. Based on these important results, the article propose a number of recommendations: (i) Exploiting the advantages of social influence on the increase of intention to use; (ii) Increasing compatibility and minimizing costs for customers when they use Mobile Banking; (iii) Developing a strategy to increase the users' perceived ease of using banking services; (iv) Issuing a policy on increasing the security of Mobile Banking system to meet customers' needs; and (v) Developing an individual customer management system to improve service quality.
Preparation of Mesoporous Alumina for Removing Ammonium Nitrogen in Aqueous Solution

The study on removal of ammonium nitrogen (NH<sub>4</sub>-N), a toxic element damaged to living bodies in water, has received great attention in recent years. In this study, we synthesized Ordered Mesoporous Alumina (OMAs) with different pore structures by Evaporation Induced Self Assembly (EISA) method and investigated adsorption performances for removal of ammonium ions in aqueous solution. The physical properties of OMAs were controlled by adjusting acid concentrations and heat treatment conditions. Furthermore, OMAs were functionalized by using chemicals containing phosphoric, sulfuric, and carboxylic acid groups to tune the acidity. In the adsorption experiments, the effects of adsorbent amount, ammonium concentration, reaction temperature and time were optimized. The prepared OMAs showed high surface area with uniform pore diameter and the enhanced physical/chemical properties for the removal of ammonium nitrogen from aqueous solution as compared to the commercial alumina oxides.
Patterns and Determinants of Intra-Industry Trade in Vietnam’s Textile and Apparel Industry

This study examines the current trade patterns as well as identifies the country-specific determinants of IIT in the textile and apparel industry between Vietnam and its twenty main trading partners during the 2010-2015 period. The results point to a substantial level of IIT, which is entirely VIIT, indicating that Vietnam’s textile and apparel trade focuses on the trade of intermediate goods. The IIT indices are extremely high among Asian countries. Using a random effect model, important determinants of IIT, HIIT and VIIT are estimated. Results indicate that IIT, HIIT and VIIT are positively correlated with economic size and differences in economic size, and they are negatively correlated with trade imbalance and distance. Differences in Human Development Index have a positive effect on IIT and VIIT. In contrast, participation in FTA increases the share of IIT and HIIT. Consequently, in order to increase IIT of the Vietnamese textile and apparel industry, Vietnam has to accelerate the negotiations of FTA; invest in human resources; support R&D activities and high-technology sectors as well as domestic enterprises that provide intermediate inputs.
Assessing Antibacterial Properties of Silver Nano-particles

Bioaerosols become a more noticed and important problem in indoor air quality (IAQ) control. In this study, we investigated antibacterial effects of silver nano-particles on Escherichia coli, the common Gram negative bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus, the well-known Gram positive bacteria under aerosol conditions. The bioaerosols containing each bacterial culture were contacted with silver nano-particles sprayed in a closed chamber. Experimental results showed that the silver nano-particles had strong antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus, respectively. As anticipated, high antibacterial activity was found at a high silver concentration and a long the contact time. It was also found that the bactericidal rate decreased with time due to the aggregation of silver nano-particles. Overall, the experimental finding suggested that silver nano-particles could be successfully applied to improve indoor air quality.
Crystallographic snapshots of active site metal shift in E. coli fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase

Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase (FBA) is important for both glycolysis and gluconeogenesis in life. Class II (zinc dependent) FBA is an attractive target for the development of antibiotics against protozoa, bacteria, and fungi, and is also widely used to produce various high-value stereoisomers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. In this study, the crystal structures of class II Escherichia coli FBA (EcFBA) were determined from four different crystals, with resolutions between 1.8 A and 2.0 A. Native EcFBA structures showed two separate sites of Zn1 (interior position) and Zn2 (active site surface position) for Zn<sup>2+</sup> ion. Citrate and TRIS bound EcFBA structures showed Zn<sup>2+</sup> position exclusively at Zn2. Crystallo-graphic snapshots of EcFBA structures with and without ligand binding proposed the rationale of metal shift at the active site, which might be a hidden mechanism to keep the trace metal cofactor Zn<sup>2+</sup> within EcFBA without losing it. 고도산화공정 처리가 페니실린의 생독성, 생분해도 및 생물학적 분해에 미치는 영향

페니실린(PEN) 항생제의 분해를 위하여 오존, 과산화수소, 자외선으로 구성된 고도산화공정(AOP)을 적용하였다. 항생물질 분해효율은 흡광도(ABS) 및 총유기탄소(TOC) 분석으로 평가하였다. O3/H2O2/UV와 O3/UV 조합이 ABS (9 min 동안 100%) 및 TOC 감소(60 min 동안 70%)에 가장 효과가 좋았으나 사용한 실험조건에서 항생제의 무기질화 및 독성제거는 완전하지 않았다. 항생물질에 의한 생독성은 Escherichia coli 민감도 및 Vibrio fischeri 생체형광 활성평가를이용하였으며 O3/UV에 의해 민감도는 9 min 동안 100% 감소, O3/H2O2/UV에 의한 생체형광에 대한 독성은 60 min 동안 57% 감소하였다. 생물학적 분해를 위한 AOP 조합으로 O3/UV 조합을 선정하였으며 BOD5/COD 비율로 생분해도의 개선 여부를 간접 측정한 결과 O3/UV로 30 min 처리함으로 BOD5/COD 비율이 약 4배 증가하였다. 페니실린 20 mg/L를 포함하는 인공폐수에 대하여 AOP 처리 후 Pseudomonas putida를 이용하여 호기적 생물학적 분해를 진행한결과, O3/UV 전처리한 경우 페니실린의 완전 무기질화가 가능하였으며 전처리하지 않은 경우에 비하여 분해속도가55% 증진되었다. 결론으로, 호기성 생물학적 처리를 위한 AOP 전처리로써 O3/UV 조합이 추천되며 페니실린의 완전분해를 촉진할 수 있다.
