We were studied to the preparation and property of N-phenyl-N'-isopropyl-p-phenylene-diamine from p-amino-diphenylamine with the various type of precious metal catalyst : 3% platinum on activated carbon. 5% palladium on activated carbon. In this study, we were obtained to the optimum conditions of reaction step in Lab. The data of Lab test were as follows : the purity of N-pheny-N'-isoprophyl-p-phenylene-diamine from p-amino-diphenyl-amine was 97.0% and the yield of N-phenyl-N'-isoprophyl-p-phenylene-diamine from p-amino-diphenylamine was 97.5%.

The purpose of this study is to know the effects of Pinelliae Tuber on the cytotoxicity of human gingival fibroblasts according to brewing methods. Pinelliae Tuber was extracted by water in the state of being raw materials, prebrewing with Zingiberis Tuber and alumen. The extracted Pinelliae Tuber was applied to the cultured human gingival fibroblasts. The cytotoxic effct of Pinelliae Tuber was meaeured by MTTassay and microscopic findings. The results were as follows : 1. The cell viability of the fibroblasts by Pinelliae Tuber water extracts significantly decreased compared to control group. 2. The cell viability by the Pinelliae Tuber extracts prebrewed with Zingiberis Tuber was similiar to those of control group. 3. The cell viability by the Pinelliae Tuber extracts prebrewed with alumen slightly decreased, but was higher than those of PT group. 4. According to the microscopec findings, the number of cell count were smaller than normal in all experimental group, specially in the PT group, and showed the shrinkage of cytoplasmic process in the PT group and PA group.
고무의 산화방지제인 N-(1,3-dimethylbuthyl)-N'-phenyl- p-phenylene-diamine의 제조 및 특성

We were studied to the preparation and the study of property of N-(1.3-dimethyl-butyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylene-diamine from diphenylamine by the various synthetic methods : nitrosoation, rearrangement, hydrogenation and reductive alkylation. In this study, we were obtained to the optimum conditions of reaction step and applied the obtained data in Lab. to plant. The data of Lab. test were as follows : the purity of p-amino-diphenylamine from diphenylamine was 97.0% and the yield of p-amino-diphenyl-amine from diphenylamine was 88.0%, the purity of N-(1.3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylene-diamine from diphenyl-amine was 98.5% and the yield of N-(1.3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylene-diamine from dipheny-lamine was 98.0%.

By the catalytic dehydration, these are obtained to the preparation of isobutyronitrile from isobutyl aldehyde with the various catalyst: platinum metal on activated carbon, palladium on activated carbon, zinc metal. AgNO₃, cobalt oxide, alumina-supported zinc oxide. The available catalyst was selected by the conversion ratio of the isobutyronitrile from isobutyl aldehyde over the atmosphere pressure at 150 and 300℃. By the experimental data, it was available for the preparation of this to alumina-supported zinc oxide as a catalyst. And it was available for this preparation with the selected catalyst to the temperature from 380 to 420℃.
CYP2D6 P34S Polymorphism and Mirtazapine Responses in Koreans with Major Depression

Drug metabolism is a critical determinant of the therapeutic and adverse effects of many psychotropic drugs. The metabolism depends on the pharmacokinetics of a drug, which includes its absorption, distribution, and elimination. Psychotropic drugs are metabolized mainly by cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes; about 20 of these enzymes exist and they are often responsible for the rate-limiting step of drug metabolism. CYP2D6 is the best-characterized P450 enzyme that exhibits polymorphism in humans. This study determined the relationship between the CYP2D6*10 (P34S) polymorphism and the response to mirtazapine in 153 Koreans with major depressive disorder (MDD). The genotype frequencies were compared using logistic regression analysis, and between-genotype differences in the decrease in the 21-item Hamilton Depression (HAMD21) score over the 12-week treatment period were analyzed using a linear regression analysis. The proportion of remitters was lower in patients with MDD possessing the S allele than in P allele carriers after 2 weeks of mirtazapine treatment. Similarly, the reductions in the HAMD21 and Clinical Global Impression (CGI) scores in S allele carriers were smaller than those in patients with the P allele after 2 weeks of mirtazapine treatment. In the analysis of depression symptoms, the sleep and delusion scores had smaller reductions in S allele carriers. Based on the Liverpool University Neuroleptic Side Effect Rating Scale (LUNSERS), the psychic adverse effects of mirtazapine were associated with CYP2D6 P34S, while weight gain was not. These results suggest that CYP2D6 P34S affects the outcome of mirtazapine treatment in patients with MDD, and that this polymorphism may be a good genetic marker for predicting the clinical outcome of mirtazapine treatment.
